Seems like partial power failure. Oven and digital light won't go but electricity enables the gas hob igniters to work. Any ideas?

Good morning all Should both fan be working at the same time, I worked out that the reason for the oven tripping was that one fan motor was shorting out. I replaced that motor, turned the oven on and it works. I’m not sure if only one fan should be or two always going. Any help would be appreciated
How do you remove the top of the cooker
I have just replaced the oven door hinges on my Smeg SA9066XS and now the oven light stays on. The oven still work fine just light won’t turn off.

From what I remember, the switch is on the left side of the oven, the left hinge has flicked the switch out of place. Turn the oven off at the mains and unscrew the left side panel of the oven to get to the switch, pop it back into place if it is not broken. The left hinge is what trickers the light to go on and off. Good luck.

I have this issue too after a "professional" cleaning company cleaned our stove and took the door off. Any obvious fix?
Hi Stuart, there is a micro switch with a small leaver located on the inside behind the left hinge. The small leaver has moved out of place or has broken. Turn the power off and take the door off and screw off the side panel to access the switch.

Hi, I have just bought an SA 9066 freestanding oven/cooktop. I am struggling to source oven control stickers as I have found out the front control panel has been discontinued. Any suggestions? Thanks Vanessa

Hi I have noted here that the last couple of reviews have a problem with the clock not working at the time of installation of brand new SMEG freestanding cookers. We have had this identical problem this week. Our installer had another similar issue recently. Is this not an issue that SMEG should be checking before they leave the factory if this is a know fault? Where is the quality control with these expensive cookers that most have to wait months to receive here in Australia? Is this being addressed with SMEG in Italy? We are pretty peeved, as a lot of customers would be, at having to have a brand new appliance repaired before we even use it!!

I have already arrange for this to be fixed thanks... but my question is does SMEG Italy know of these problems ? Are they addressing it so that people are not receiving brand new cookers that don't work?

I just brought this stove yesturday had the plumber and sparky here to fit off Stove works fine but the clock won’t turn on which means the oven won’t turn on

Hi, My front igniter on my new Smeg free standing duel fuel oven is loose. It doesn’t appear to be broken but all the other igniters are are fixed rigid. Is this normal on Smeg Cookers.

Hi I’m not sure what my model my smeg oven is but I’ve purchased in about 2012 is has the 6 gas heads in the top. I know this may seem like a weird question but the numbers in the temperature are all rubbed off and the fan setting. I’m Not sure if that’s normal but I need a clear picture of the oven so I can know what degrees I’m setting on. Thanks
The element in my oven Smeg SA9066XS is glowing red even when the oven is switched off. I’ve had to turn the power off at the switch board. Should I replace the element?

The timer alarm on my Smeg SA9066XS upright oven has gone very quiet. Any ideas how to increase the volume? Thanks Rebecca
