DO NOT USE - I am harrassed every week regarding a smoke alarm inspection. This inspection was completed in November (for a 3rd time in 8 months). They continuously call, when I answer they hang up, then text to offer an appt. I have told 4 of their staff and replied to their text messages saying it was completed. They tell me their technician called in sick that day. I have told them multiple times that I had a technician in my house at 9.18am (1hr late) in a Smoke Alarms Australia uniform, IT IS DONE. The keep prank calling and texting. Not t...o mention the first time they visited, then another technician came again 2 weeks later and neither of us knew why he was here. Their admin/record keeping is beyond a joke. Unprofessional and unorganised.

Since moving to SAA we have had nothing but issues with them. They promised us everything under the sun yet haven't delivered on what was promised. Their technicians keep resigning, we haven't seen a technician in over 3 weeks to date, meaning some properties may not be compliant.

Avoid this company at all costs
Had some come out and look at alarm adv that it needed to be replaced and had to get an electrician to put a new one in as it is hard wired (they put in a temp one in) they took for ever to contact me. how ever they are extremely inflexible they only offer days on very short notice, which I could never make due to the type of work I am involved with. At one stage I had a day off so I called them as I though a couple of weeks notice could get this done. But no, when I call them they have advised to call back at a later time as they don't plan th...at far ahead (it was only 2/3 weeks). Called them back to make a booking they have then advised me that one will be in the area. I had then asked to speak to team leader as I was getting quite annoyed that the were not trying to work with me. they said not but they would have someone call back. Moments after I got off the phone I received a message that they tried to contact me. which just shows that they just don't care. Is worth saying again avoid this company at all costs.

Technician came five weeks ago and put in two battery smoke alarms as a temporary measure (there was already a smoke alarm here that I had put in and he didn’t pick it!!) because it previously my home was an office and it had a hardwired alarm which he says he now has to get an electrician in to put another hardwired in because it’s legislation fair enough, but five weeks have passed so it can’t be thst urgent on their part! and today I get a phone call saying they want to come tomorrow and I said no I’m at work I gave them two dates for them t...o come I get a text late this evening saying they’re coming tomorrow worst communicators poor service. More so the call centre who threaten you when the times they want to book on don’t suit you... and they WILL NOT be getting access to my home when I’m not here- simples Here’s a tip SAA brush up on your manners, your communication, and think about changing your call centre ( who I have had the bad fortune to have dealt with for a number of years at various properties poor communicators, hard to get hold of if you have to call them and they don’t listen)
Worst customer service
Booked by my Real Estate Agent.
They messaged with less than 24 hours notice that they can be there. I replied to the sms about 3 hours later after I had moved appointments to clear the time. They said that I missed out on my slot.
I called them and asked them when they would next be in the area and the said they couldn't tell me, because they only organise it closer to the time.
This has happened 3 times now. Their phone staff don't seem to care either, didn't offer any solution to the issue, and just said they would message next time they were going to be in the area.
Appalling attitude, they don't want people
No human decency to directly respond to me, too focused on bus. model and trying to malign owners who require the info. Unprofessional, have to chase them, uncooperative and antisocial/ hostile.

Their call centre is in the Philippines (so not employing Australians), the call centre is also poorly staffed. So double bad. Very cheap alarms. I have informed my property manager not to use its service on my rentals
Dont bother calling
I have a beeping electrical smoke alarm and real estate agent have ask for me to give them a call , ive been calling them for 1 hr and no one answered. After every 5mins on hold the call just drop. All numbers i called but nobody did answer
Really cheap alarms
An alarm that was installed 4 years ago has become faulty already! SAA are saying that a service fee of $99 needs to be paid to replace the alarm even though its within 10 warranty! Cannot get through to anyone on the phone and replies to emails take weeks! Definitely wouldn't recommend
Dodgy alarms / poor customer service
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
They replaced my smoke alarm 5 years ago and now that it's faulty we have been told they will only replace it if we join their subscription service for $99 a year (the smoke alarm is worth $30)! Reported to Ombudsman who confirmed that as the smoke alarm is faulty it should be replaced (under warranty for 10 years) but they are powerless to make them replace the item.
Smoke Alarms Australia could not care less, offered no assistance of any kind and were only willing to assist if I re-joined their subscription service.

What a pointless company
Never can keep an appointment.. misses appointments when there booked and don't show up . Do not use these time wasters ! Looked like the so-called technion was stoned off his head !
Poor Hygiene and Social distancing practices - Risk.
At a time when we are all meant to be practicing social distancing I am concerned with what I just witnessed in my own home. I have been keeping low key as I am in a high risk group due to having diabetes and reduced lung capacity. While not overly concerned with getting Covid-19 I still like to minimize risk as I don't want my family to get it just yet..

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Would never recommend or use again.
Didn't show up to appointment. When you try and call they keep you on hold and then the line goes dead, presumably so they don't have to speak with you. When you write a note of complaint there is no sense of apology or concern. In fact, there's no response. Not sure what the customer service process is, but ignoring an unhappy customers seems to be a key component.
Comes to test the alarm and triggers it badly for the rest of the day. 5:30am in the morning causing a nuisance to everyone - pathetic workers take ages for worker to return. Absolutely not happy with this service whatsoever. Inexperience and stupidity has caused this
Emergency service was great
I returned home from work at 2pm yesterday to 5 linked RF smoke alarms going off for no reason. After hushing them, they continued to go off every 10 mins. As you can imagine it was totrure listening to them go off. I contacted Smoke alarms australia at 3pm. They had a technician out by 5pm who was outstanding. Apologies I didnt get his name. Instead of servicing and checking what was causing the fault he simply said, "Ill replace the lot that way you know your right." He stayed until nearly 7pm getting them all up and running and nothing was too much trouble. I was concerned after reading the reviews on here about using them but have complete confidence in the service they provide after recieving it first hand.
Bullies and threatened to access my property without consent
Constant harassing messages, but will not return calls when you try to call back. They have threatened to access my home without consent and issued a notice to me that has no legal basis, but suggests it does.
Wish I could give minus stars!
Have had these guys out 3 times over the past 2 years. They ALWAYS reschedule, cancel without letting you know or just don't show up! The technicians themselves are nice and even them do t like the company and the way they work. Terrible terrible customer service. Do not use these guys!!
