Customer service is not in existence, you are treated with disrespect. Not sure if this is because I am female but I was dismissed. Finally one helped but also just sent to another so called Customer service person. Not happy to give them my money as service is really bad.

Purchased permapine 290 x 45 for stringers for steps. 2 out of 5 were straight. It makes it almost impossible to build stairs with bent and twisted timber. Sent a number of emails without even an apology. For over 1000 dolllars I was ripped off. The steps level in the middle but 30mm out at the bottom and it’s unfixable.

I dealt with Jakuf at softwood branch at Croydon in SA l. Jakuf was excellent very professional helpful arranged all the materials assisted with the design and consulted with my installer this resulted in a great deck for my holiday home. If your looking for great products and great customer service see Jakuf your in good great hands. Thank you for all your help . Peter Barolo

Worst company i have dealt with! – Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Just wanted easiest option for them and not what we wanted just say its to hard. Stuffed up council paperwork and sent it to them without our approval. Delivery people of materials were rude. Materials were wrong length and sheets were damaged on arrival. Lodge complain to company manager but didnt want to hear it. Will never use again

Amazing product and service – Shaun Langsford from Lonsdale was my Sales Consultant. Nothing was too hard for him. From coming out to my house to check my measurements, arranging to have something delivered the next day when it was not in the truck. Attention to detail has been second to none. Very professional. I would highly recommend to any one looking for a pergola and deck.

Happy to take my money then stopped communicating – After paying almost $15,000 I didn’t hear a word from softwoods. I thought it was a scam. After 2 months the pergola kit was dumped at our house in random piles.

5 stars all the way – Excellent customer service from start to finish. From Nathan that did the plans to Mitchell that ordered the materials to Akym the carpenter and Graham the painter. This should be updated they eventually contacted us after us trying many methods of communication. attend on-site, advise on requirements, and organise/oversee the installation. I was really pleased to find that this was possible with Margo at Softwoods, and I paid the deposit.

After paying the deposit, I later contacted Margo about 'next steps', only to be told that Margo no longer worked for Softwoods and there would be no Victorian consultant replacing her. While I understand that staffing changes occur in any business, the lack of a replacement was extremely disappointing as the 'goalposts' had essentially shifted after having already paid my deposit. I was informed that there would be no one to actually oversee the project or meet face-to-face. I would never have agreed to this without having a Softwoods Representative available in Victoria.

Further, once the materials were delivered and the builder commenced construction, it was discovered that they had all been cut far too long (not allowing for the eaves) and the builder needed to re-cut everything. This would have been avoided with the final "check and measure" that Margo had agreed to organise. The specifications sheet I completed also noted that I wanted fibro to seal off one of the gable ends. This was not provided in the package of materials and I needed to pay my builder another $250 to arrange this.

While I am pleased with the finished product (and the builder has been wonderful), I am really disappointed with the level of care and service received from Softwoods. There is enormous opportunity for sales of your products through Bunnings outside of SA, however, based on my experience I would not recommend this to my friends and family. As a young female without building knowledge, I needed someone to provide project support from start to finish. It was an unnecessarily stressful experience.

Softwoods Croydon - Amazing Carport – I would highly recommend this company! Even though the job was in Melbourne, the communication was amazing and prompt? Nathan is great to work with and the construction of the carport was A1. The trades were courteous and professional and I Couldn't fault anything. Don't hesitate, you will end up with an awesome result that won't cost the earth!

Great firm to deal with – Sought a quote for a gazebo kit on-line and had a response next day. arrived without a crane truck and if I was not at home would have simply rolled it off the truck onto the nature strip and no doubt damaged the timber, though we eventually cut the packaging and manually unloaded it, his excuse was the fees paid for delivery do not cover the cost of a crane truck. I would recommend some-one be there when the delivery is made.

Well done – have to say; the truck and crane driver delivered our timber and has to be the politest guy in Adelaide. Wonderful and professional service. Another bloke turns up from a different firm and drops stuff on the lawn, not asking and thus annoying my wife as she was trying to resuscitate the lawn. Really happy with the service – We ordered some polycarbonate roofing online. The price was excellent. Unfortunately when it arrived it was the incorrect type and colour. We phoned the next morning and they said they'd sort it out - and they did! No arguments, they had the correct products couriered to our house and collected the incorrect delivery within 48 hours. We will buy from them again.
