Customer experiences with Solar Power Nation are notably polarised. Many clients report positive outcomes, praising the company's competitive pricing, efficient installation teams, and helpful support staff who assist with system setup. Conversely, a significant number of reviewers express frustration regarding prolonged delays, communication breakdowns after paying a deposit, and challenges with warranty claims or after-sales service. Prospective customers may benefit from clarifying timelines, warranty terms, and support structures in writing prior to proceeding.

I paid a $350 deposit on a 6.6 kw solar system with a 26 kw battery with blackout protection in January and after not hearing from them for 3 months I called regarding the installation. It took numerous calls as they were always unavailable and never called back as promised, only to find out the order has been cancelled. It took another months to… Read more
get my deposit back. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced, you can only describe them as Crooks, avoid them like the plague !
Excellent products, great service and reasonable prices. Everyone i dealt with was very professional and respectful. Installers were on time and finished the job effectively
Only afraid I cant score into the negatives. Purchased Fox ESS home battery with Backup solution In February. Installed only the battery in April and now refusing to install the additional backup solution since then. I have attempted the following. Calling and emailing the Account Manager. Calling and emailing the support team. Attempted… Read more
escalation internally several times - completely blanked the request.
In June we have a power cut, which broke the battery - and now we cant get the engineer out for this either. Note that it has now been not working for longer than it has been working and all I can get from them is "awaiting engineer". If they are awaiting a FOX ESS engineer for 4 months then id suggest avoiding them.
Note this Saga is still ongoing.

Just had a solar system put in by Solar Power Nation and couldn't be more happier. Mac managed the whole process smoothly from sale to final install, and Pankaj was our installer who did an amazing job fitting 20 x 475w panels, 10kW inverter, and the 25.6kWh battery on my single-storey tile roof. Pankaj explained the layout before install and also… Read more
helped us set up the solar app to monitor the inverter and battery at the end. Super neat job with all leftover cardboard boxes collected and area left clean. Also, a big thanks to Sarah in after-sales support for checking in on everything and sharing the paperwork promptly. Highly recommend them!
Customer service after and before sale is very helpful and supportive much appreciated to solar power nation team for the great job and the results is absolutely amazing, thank you Show details

Had a great experience with SPN for my 42kWh battery installation. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with throughout the process. What stood out most was their quick turnaround time — everything was completed within a week, which exceeded my expectations. They were also not pushy at all, giving me the space to make… Read more
decisions without any pressure.
Overall, a smooth and hassle-free experience. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone considering a solar battery system.
I had an existing solar system 6.6KW of panels and an 5KW inverter. I ordered a Fox ESS battery and a new 10KW inverter which replaced the existing inverter. I wanted it installed before the 30th of April. The whole process took 2-3 weeks and was installed at the beginning of April. Henry the sales person was a pleasure to deal with. very competitive price straight up, was helpful in confirming the area to install the battery, reminding me of paperwork I need to send him, as well as fast tracking the install.
I was super happy with the installer Ali. He explained what was achievable with blackout protection for this unit. Recommending 1 power circuit and 1 light circuit with an automatic cut over switch. The installation was very neat and tidy, and has improved the look of the house. He spent time with me at the end of the install to setup the wifi and foxcloud2.0 app, as well as testing the backup protection.
Great price with prompt and efficient installation. This is our 3rd installation with Solar Power Nation. Backup and service is good. Show details · 1
I first started looking into solar batteries after spending summer in NZ with my father and being very surprised at the reasonable price he was paying for a solar system with battery, surely that's not right, how could batteries be that cheap? When I returned home, my local research told me that solar battery rebates were about to end and there… Read more · 1
was an absolute scramble to install batteries before the cutoff date. Not only that, but there we low cost options with high capacity. Now I'm not normally one to jump on something without lots of thought and consideration, but when I realised that I could get a large battery system, 30kwh+ for what would likely be less than a 4 years return on investment, and that time was running out, I quickly requested a bunch of quotes.
Solar power nation was the one that impressed me the most at that point, the man who called me, Adam, was helpful with explaining a few things and didn't try to push me to sign, or push me to get a bigger system than I thought was necessary. After I signed the documents and provided necessary documentation I quickly got an approval email from Energex, but then it was radio silence from SPN for a few weeks, when I reached out to find out if anything was wrong or missing I was quickly reassured that logistics was difficult right now and that I'd be contacted as soon as a time was available. This was understandable as I made this impulse decision based on the the limited time window, I knew I wouldn't have been the only one.
About a week later I received a call informing me that they could do it tomorrow, but only if it was a different system, larger, but the same price, I wasn't sure if this was a bait and switch or if supply issues had arisen but ultimately I didn't really mind because a slightly bigger system for the same price, installed tomorrow, seemed better than waiting goodness knows how long for the original quoted one.
After I agreed to this I was sent a document about pre-approval for direct debit payment for the system, which absolutely terrified me, and when I reached out to ask about it I received no initial response, which further panicked me, I didn't understand why I was being asked to pre pay for something so expensive without any proof that the work would be done or done to a satisfactory standard. I then started googling and found a bunch of terrible reviews which further compounded the rising panic that I was about to be scammed, I had never used a low cost company before, my initial solar panel system was put in by a premium company that I had no concerns about at any point during the process even when a bunch of things kept going wrong, however Adam eventually called me and assured me that if I'm not comfortable prepaying that I can pay after the installation was completed.
The following day the contractors showed up very early, I'd been assured it would not be until after 1030, but they showed up at around 720, because some other job had been cancelled, and they already had all my stuff on hand, but had forgotten one thing and had to wait for it to be dropped off (this sent me back into worried panic spirals, expecting some terrible botched job. Plus i wouldn't even be there for half of it to keep an eye on things or ask questions). I had also been told my original system and inverter wouldn't be touched (which reassured me that if something went wrong at least my original system would work) but this turned out to not be correct, the inverter needed to be replaced entirely.
However, once the system was up and running, the installer and electrician both came to talk to me, set the app up, patiently walked me through everything, even answered my dumb questions about how solar power and inverters etc actually work, they double checked a few things after noticing something off in the app, fixed a small fault and both demonstrated the blackout protection and showed me how to actually turn it on myself (they also took the time earlier in the day to make sure it was installed to the right breaker so my fridge would remain functioning). They gave me tips about how to protect the battery cases (get a shade from Bunnings installed over it) and told me not to hesitate to contact them if anything went wrong. They also cleaned up very well and sealed up holes in the wall from my old inverter, and put a label in the power box for the blackout switch. So in the end I was blown away by the professionalism and the outcome.
Its been a couple of weeks now and the system is still working beautifully, I'm so pleased i got such a big system as I've been able to store up a buffer and get through these terrible cloudy days all on my own power. My only gripe would be that the app from neovault could do with better customisation for charging and discharging and using grid power, it's there but it's a bit basic and a few things are missing, but this is not the review for that.
Profesionals thanks .Work done in no time .Oll than on time Show details · 1

Solar Power Nation installed my system with absolutely no fuss. Show details · 1
The people installed our solar panels were just too busy to respond to request of adding battery to the system. I then found Solar Power Nation (SPN) was splashed all over the Internet sphere including social media. contractors. Still I lodged a quote request on SPN's website thinking there was no harm to check them out. Elena called back the next day and I found her attentive and far from being pushy that one would come to expect from a sales person in a call centre. We discussed the installation plan and she eased my nerve on some of the negative feedbacks they had, e.g., not returning deposits and long delays in fulfilments, etc.. I decided to dive in and put down the deposit as their price for 42-kwh battery was simply too good to refuse. 3 days later I got a call from Grace, One of the SPN's installation team leads, telling me they were ready to install my battery the next day. I couldn't believe that it happened so fast and I had to call Elena to confirm as the original schedule was set post Xmas/NY. Sure enough the next day, the team of two (Amentrad and his apprentice) came in and installed the battery within 3 hours. They were friendly, enthusiastic and knew their stuff really well. Both my wife and I were extremely happy with the tidy work they had done. Of course significant part of the happy mode was due to the fact we are now off the grid up to two days without the Sun yay!!!
7 years ago Solar Power Nation installed my solar pannels and last week they installed a battery system and on both occasions they provided a fast, efficient and prompt service. Follow-up · Performance has been great without any glitches to date, installation process and timeframe was excellent. No post installation support required. Only wish was I had gone with a slightly bigger battery.

light, one string voltage dropped to zero, and the system keeps fluctuating/tripping, creating a potential electrical safety hazard). I provided full evidence including invoices, photos, and app access to their aftersales team. However, their officers (Sarah and team) rudely hung up the phone and flatly refused to process the warranty claim, inventing excuses demanding a separate "warranty certificate" which violates Australian Consumer Law (ACL). A Tax Invoice is a legally binding proof of purchase and warranty in Australia. Since they refuse to honor their statutory obligations, I have formally escalated this matter to NSW Fair Trading and the Clean Energy Council (CEC). Avoid this company if you value aftersales support. They are only interested in taking your money.
Follow-up · They use the same trading name with different ACN behind, and the inverter manufacture warranty shows only 5 years instead of 10 years...
Solar Power Nation Solar - Service – Service has been great. Post install customer service was fantastic with Raavi, communication was exceptional Show reply
Follow-up · Only issue encountered was my system stopped working randomly with an error message. However this was resolved by Growatt company themselves passing on a firmware date, not by solar nation. But everything is still good

Positive reviews
SPN team was very good from the initial consultation till the installation was done. Every query was sorted on priority and appropriate help was provided for Strata requirements.
Installation staff were polite and efficient. They clearly explained the system operation and helped set up monitoring software. Would have been nice if they had taken all the empty boxes etc . Show details
Very good team and a very smooth installation experience. Rajiv C was especially helpful—he supported us throughout and explained the entire process clearly. The installer was also a very nice person, and the whole installation team was very cooperative. Highly recommended. Technical team from Solar Power nation also called to support after installation.
Negative reviews
I got the solar panel system installed 4 years ago. Not happy with the process where they kept hiding facts. I was quoted for 12KW, only to receive 5KW. Now I need a battery system, they never mention this battery is for the grid and not your house. If electricity is disconnected, you never reap the benefits of this battery. I need to pay extra… Read more
to make this happen. It is not enough that we are giving away our roofs for 2 cents/kw and buying it back for 25+ cents. This is a rippoff scheme. I ask all of you to double check what are you gaining from this investment! NOTHING except losing $5,000+ and your roof.
Despite receiving written email confirmation from Solar Power Nation regarding the specific system requirements, battery model, and installation details, the work remains incomplete. battery model was used instead of the unit specified in the contract. Furthermore, your the centres and the designated contract agent have remained unresponsive to my follow-up attempts.
During the sales process, I felt pressured by Brad to sign the contract before my questions were answered. It took multiple requests before I finally received the information I needed. I signed a contract with an estimated August installation, but was unexpectedly offered a next-day installation, which went well. Unfortunately, the customer… Read more
service went downhill from there. I received an incorrect invoice and emailed within two hours to have it corrected. After no response, I was repeatedly harassed with calls the following day until I resent my email. They then sent two "corrected" invoices with different company names and different bank details. I paid the first one, but the transfer failed. After noticing the differences, I paid the second invoice and it went through instantly.
Since paying, communication has completely stopped. I've emailed twice over two business days requesting a receipt, payment confirmation and warranty documentation, but have received no response.
It's disappointing how persistent they were before payment, yet completely unresponsive afterwards. If this continues, my next step will be lodging a complaint with Fair Trading.

Writing My initial experience with your company was excellent. I dealt with a gentleman who was professional, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. complete opposite. My battery was faulty from the day it was installed, yet I was still expected to pay for it. I then had to spend weeks chasing your company before the supplier finally attended and resolved the issue. There was also an issue at my mother's home, where her heater was left switched off after installation. We paid to have it repaired, only to discover that it simply had not been turned back on. What has been most disappointing is the lack of after-sales support. I have made numerous attempts to contact your company to discuss these concerns, only to have calls ended or ignored, with no one returning my calls or following up. The level of customer service after the sale has been extremely poor and has left me questioning whether I can trust the company going forward. As a business owner myself, I believe that if a company chooses to criticise competitors and promote itself as the better option, it should ensure its own customer service, communication, and after-care support reflect those claims. I supported your business, referred family members to you, and trusted your recommendations. I expected that loyalty to be valued. Instead, I have been left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and unheard.
