I did sign the contract and paid deposit for new battery install. 2 days before installing early-April. I received an email saying my job was cancelled and to provide banking details for a refund. I did try to contact the Sales consultant via email and phone, but he was not taking my calls. I provided my banking details to the referrals and refund… Read more

Very happy with Solar Power Nation. All staff who contacted me were very polite and friendly. They spoke very clearly without any ambiguity. Our battery installer was also very friendly and professional. I had my solar panels also installed earlier by this company. I would not go any other company for solar power related work. I shall highly recommend this company to my friends and family. Show details

My experience with Solar Power Nation has been extremely disappointing. I reported an inverter fault under warranty on 17/02/2026 and provided all requested documents and photos twice. Over more than 5 weeks, I never received a case reference number, no clear update, and no service was arranged. Communication has been very poor — responses were… Read more

generic and did not address my questions. There was no real follow-up or resolution.

I have now been informed that the company is under external administration, which explains the lack of support. I also received official communication confirming this situation.

As a customer with a system still under warranty, I have effectively been left without after-sales support.

I would strongly recommend others to carefully consider this before engaging with this company.

Had a great experience with SPN for my 42kWh battery installation. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with throughout the process. What stood out most was their quick turnaround time — everything was completed within a week, which exceeded my expectations. They were also not pushy at all, giving me the space to make… Read more

Overall, a smooth and hassle-free experience. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone considering a solar battery system.

I had an existing solar system 6.6KW of panels and an 5KW inverter. I ordered a Fox ESS battery and a new 10KW inverter which replaced the existing inverter. I wanted it installed before the 30th of April. The whole process took 2-3 weeks and was installed at the beginning of April. Henry the sales person was a pleasure to deal with. very competitive price straight up, was helpful in confirming the area to install the battery, reminding me of paperwork I need to send him, as well as fast tracking the install.

I was super happy with the installer Ali. He explained what was achievable with blackout protection for this unit. Recommending 1 power circuit and 1 light circuit with an automatic cut over switch. The installation was very neat and tidy, and has improved the look of the house. He spent time with me at the end of the install to setup the wifi and foxcloud2.0 app, as well as testing the backup protection.

I first started looking into solar batteries after spending summer in NZ with my father and being very surprised at the reasonable price he was paying for a solar system with battery, surely that's not right, how could batteries be that cheap? When I returned home, my local research told me that solar battery rebates were about to end and there… Read more ·  1

was an absolute scramble to install batteries before the cutoff date. Not only that, but there we low cost options with high capacity. Now I'm not normally one to jump on something without lots of thought and consideration, but when I realised that I could get a large battery system, 30kwh+ for what would likely be less than a 4 years return on investment, and that time was running out, I quickly requested a bunch of quotes.

Solar power nation was the one that impressed me the most at that point, the man who called me, Adam, was helpful with explaining a few things and didn't try to push me to sign, or push me to get a bigger system than I thought was necessary. After I signed the documents and provided necessary documentation I quickly got an approval email from Energex, but then it was radio silence from SPN for a few weeks, when I reached out to find out if anything was wrong or missing I was quickly reassured that logistics was difficult right now and that I'd be contacted as soon as a time was available. This was understandable as I made this impulse decision based on the the limited time window, I knew I wouldn't have been the only one.

About a week later I received a call informing me that they could do it tomorrow, but only if it was a different system, larger, but the same price, I wasn't sure if this was a bait and switch or if supply issues had arisen but ultimately I didn't really mind because a slightly bigger system for the same price, installed tomorrow, seemed better than waiting goodness knows how long for the original quoted one.

After I agreed to this I was sent a document about pre-approval for direct debit payment for the system, which absolutely terrified me, and when I reached out to ask about it I received no initial response, which further panicked me, I didn't understand why I was being asked to pre pay for something so expensive without any proof that the work would be done or done to a satisfactory standard. I then started googling and found a bunch of terrible reviews which further compounded the rising panic that I was about to be scammed, I had never used a low cost company before, my initial solar panel system was put in by a premium company that I had no concerns about at any point during the process even when a bunch of things kept going wrong, however Adam eventually called me and assured me that if I'm not comfortable prepaying that I can pay after the installation was completed.

The following day the contractors showed up very early, I'd been assured it would not be until after 1030, but they showed up at around 720, because some other job had been cancelled, and they already had all my stuff on hand, but had forgotten one thing and had to wait for it to be dropped off (this sent me back into worried panic spirals, expecting some terrible botched job. Plus i wouldn't even be there for half of it to keep an eye on things or ask questions). I had also been told my original system and inverter wouldn't be touched (which reassured me that if something went wrong at least my original system would work) but this turned out to not be correct, the inverter needed to be replaced entirely.

However, once the system was up and running, the installer and electrician both came to talk to me, set the app up, patiently walked me through everything, even answered my dumb questions about how solar power and inverters etc actually work, they double checked a few things after noticing something off in the app, fixed a small fault and both demonstrated the blackout protection and showed me how to actually turn it on myself (they also took the time earlier in the day to make sure it was installed to the right breaker so my fridge would remain functioning). They gave me tips about how to protect the battery cases (get a shade from Bunnings installed over it) and told me not to hesitate to contact them if anything went wrong. They also cleaned up very well and sealed up holes in the wall from my old inverter, and put a label in the power box for the blackout switch. So in the end I was blown away by the professionalism and the outcome.

Its been a couple of weeks now and the system is still working beautifully, I'm so pleased i got such a big system as I've been able to store up a buffer and get through these terrible cloudy days all on my own power. My only gripe would be that the app from neovault could do with better customisation for charging and discharging and using grid power, it's there but it's a bit basic and a few things are missing, but this is not the review for that.

The people installed our solar panels were just too busy to respond to request of adding battery to the system. I then found Solar Power Nation (SPN) was splashed all over the Internet sphere including social media. contractors. Still I lodged a quote request on SPN's website thinking there was no harm to check them out. Elena called back the next day and I found her attentive and far from being pushy that one would come to expect from a sales person in a call centre. We discussed the installation plan and she eased my nerve on some of the negative feedbacks they had, e.g., not returning deposits and long delays in fulfilments, etc.. I decided to dive in and put down the deposit as their price for 42-kwh battery was simply too good to refuse. 3 days later I got a call from Grace, One of the SPN's installation team leads, telling me they were ready to install my battery the next day. I couldn't believe that it happened so fast and I had to call Elena to confirm as the original schedule was set post Xmas/NY. Sure enough the next day, the team of two (Amentrad and his apprentice) came in and installed the battery within 3 hours. They were friendly, enthusiastic and knew their stuff really well. Both my wife and I were extremely happy with the tidy work they had done. Of course significant part of the happy mode was due to the fact we are now off the grid up to two days without the Sun yay!!!

We recently had a solar and battery system installed through Solar Power Nation, and overall, our experience has been very positive. There were some hiccups early on — our installation date was delayed by nearly three months due to high demand from the battery rebate program. Once we understood this broader context, the experience made much more… Read more ·  1

sense. When installation finally took place, it went smoothly and professionally. The installer they sent (Rana Electricals) did an excellent job, and the final result was stellar.

My account was handled by Adam J (Accounts Manager), who was exceptionally knowledgeable about system configuration. He got everything right the first time — from the system sizing and extra solar panels to the hybrid inverter setup, backup circuits, and proper DC/AC battery coupling. Adam was patient and thorough, answering every one of my questions and encouraging me to ask more, which gave me confidence given the size of the investment.

I’ll admit I was frustrated at the start because the schedule kept shifting, but the company handled it well in the end. They even offered a price reduction to make up for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. Their pricing was among the most competitive I could find — significantly lower than several other installers (including some with glowing 5-star reviews and listings on Solar Quotes) who were quoting nearly double the price for the same setup.

The system itself — a FoxESS 15 kW 3-phase inverter paired with a 42 kWh FoxESS battery stack — has been solid. I didn’t need fancy features, just a powerful and compact system that would fit neatly beside my garage, and this product delivers exactly that.

If performance continues as expected, I’m looking at a return on investment in about two years. Despite the initial delays, I’m very happy with the outcome and would recommend Solar Power Nation to anyone seeking great value, expert advice, and reliable installation.

contracted installation date I had no information or communication from the company. Obviously no work had been undertaken.

Over a dozen polite phone calls and emails failed to get me any information about the status of my work. I simply received no replies. Only a threat to report them to the ACCC via email elicited a response. That response was a phone call with another false promise.

In short, DO NOT entertain this company.
