quote…never got the quote, it happened again 3 years later I’ll send you a quote….never got the quote. I rang head office, if he can’t come and fix it just tell me how to get the parts and we’ll fix it our selves….3 weeks later no phone call back from head office. So Solatube, you win after 4 years of trying to get one fixed or replaced I’m off to get a solar powered skylight that I have in other areas in the house and it’s being replaced which will probably take 15 mis to install. Thanks for nothing. Solatube- Great if you want to buy one, just NEVER ask for after market service.

Our living room was very dark due to its location in our duplex, but now it's brighten up nicely and beautifully after installing the Solatube. We regret we haven't done this earlier! Amazing difference – Recently had 2 Solatube skylights installed in a very large and dark open plan lounge/dining/kitchen . This has made an amazing difference and almost too bright over the lounge area skylight so the installer returned a week later to fit an adjustable solar powered dimmer so we can now adjust to suit the amount of light required . Show reply

A good alternative to a skylight – Our neighbours have a really big house which blocks out all sunlight so we figured if we wanted light we'd have to go the skylight route. barely read in our living room before and now it's like the lights are on for hours a day. The installation was relatively quick/fuss free.

The only barrier is going to be if you have solar panels etc because you won't be able to pick where it goes (they'll have to get into your roof/on it and advise of your limitations) but otherwise it'd a good alternative if you don't want a skylight.

Do not have to turn the lights on – Do not have to turn the lights on in the kitchen during the day anymore. The service was fantastic. Quote and installed within a week.

Transformation! – Had a solar tube installed in my laundry. It’s turned a black box into a light-filled space and I’m delighted, not only with the transformation but the ease and speed with which it was done. Admittedly I need the ‘rainy day’ test, but I’m a very satisfied customer so far. Thanks!

Beyond incompetent – One of the worst trade experiences I’ve had of late and I’d definitely recommend caution before wasting your time with them. organise a site inspection (per the fine print on the quote) however he ignored them and, when I got onto the installer directly, he did the same. Installer shows up to fit the product and, of course, it hasn’t been quoted correctly and can’t be done. He remarks that this is happening all the time (including his other job that day). He promises to call me to discuss further, but that never happens. I send multiple emails to [Name Removed] advising they’ll need to refund the huge deposit they’re holding, but they’re ignored. Only after I threatened escalation did finally get a response. I’m sure the products are quite good, but their sales, support and installation procedures are an absolute joke. I’ve wasted so much of my time with these people ended up just going with a local supplier who did a bit of an eye roll when I mentioned these guys!

Great results – Solartube gives us so much more light, even on a moonlit night. The installer was prompt, courteous and efficient. Great company to deal with.

Good product and brightened my living room – The installer is very professional and did clean up after. However, the account team did noy reply back after i paid the additional amount, no acknowledgment. However i will still highly recommend the product.

Happy Purchase – I had to purchase a new cover for my 30yr old solar tube. I was happy that there were some new modern versions to choose from. I am very happy with this product and service.

Love Solatube – My Solatube has brought so much light into my kitchen and hallway I keep thinking I’ve left the light on. I love the finish too, very elegant and the light emitted is beautiful

Exellent – We are very happy, we have had Solar tube before and are happy with the recent service of supply and fit.

Do not buy – Huge hole left in roof that damaged my electrics and ceiling. Had to get fixed before further damaged by local handyman. Now voided warranty. Apparently they would prefer the house flooded or someone was electrocuted. Response Water flowing through electric socket. Did know that solar lite was poorly installed with huge gap left. Required to get urgently fixed for our own safety. Dismissed by company. Response Invoice added

Waste of time – I wasted my precious time in getting them to come and have a look at my house and suggest alternatives fo r my roof ventilation problems. Last 2 weeks I have been in touch with their sales representative. He fixed a date. No one turned on that date. installation at some other bigger commercial site. The SMS said, sales representative will reschedule. That never happened. Prior to that someone cancelled and I was offered that slot. No one turned up in that slot too. After contacting the sales rep, he asked me to wait. Someone will do come. I waited and waited. No one turned up. No one called to say sorry. No manners, no customer service of any kind. I haven't even got a quote. I am wondering when will they quote me and when will they assign the actual installation date. If you guys are so busy in big works, you could have told me before instead of wasting my time in waiting for you.

Terrible – Had this company come and quote told yes could do went to factory looked at the product. We then placed order and and paid deposit a week later informed installer would come to install given a time . had to be done and informed me cannot do this has been quoted wrong . I will have to go up into the roof and remove roof tiles after doing that he said can’t be done. Next day I call Solatube and asked for refund for deposit which took some time to get. But wait two days later we had rain and what happened we had water leaks because their no one installer (forgot to put the roof tile back). Imagine what quality of work you would get if they did this. We are still fighting for compensation be warned Do Not use this company

Fantastic – I have use Solatube in the past, I love the product. It made sense for me to call them again to brighten up my dark leaving room. The installer was very professional , helpful and quick. Solatube Skylights – We ordered new skylights from solatube for the hallway and the kitchen because it was quite dark there, we already had a similar one in the bathroom. the new ones are great, the light is amazing, I highly recommend it.

Major water leak problem immediately after installing Solatube – A solatube was installed in our property on Thursday June 2019 and it started leaking on Saturday, causing major water leak damage to our property. We have been unable to contact the installer or the company despite multiple attempts. Solatube are not contactable on weekends and clearly provide very poor after sales service.

Solarstar air ventilators - Better ways to remove heat from your ceiling space – After looking at the information available in removing heat from our roof void, we were told the fitting of 2 Solarstar wind units would apparently decrease the temperature in our home. The cost was $1800 fitted. We were extremely happy with the service provided by the Brisbane company. We live in a 2 storey residence with a metal pitched roof.… Read more

There is insulation that is rated R5. There is also silver insulation material under the metal roofing sheets. We have now had these operating during the summer months and can give an evaluation of their performance. We are extremely disappointed. There has been no lowering of temperature in our roof and subsequently on our upper level. It is my opinion that the money would have been better spent on the installation of additional insulation. I have written to the company but never received a reply. My advice is to not purchase these units. They haven’t delivered the hype that has been promoted.
