Went to buy two ceiling fans and a lamp for our lounge room. Benita from Mile End store happily explained differences between the types of fans and was very helpful in determining best for our rooms. I have purchased several items from Beacon in the past but haven’t had to use the warranty process until now. We recently purchased two Parsec exhaust fans that had specifications to run at 47 dB. return or replacement stating that it was normal for the product despite specifying noise range on their website. In addition the timer switch provided was faulty and they weren’t willing to replace this either. Overall very disappointing experience.
Beacon has subsequently offered to replace the faulty timer switch, but we are stuck with the noisy fans. Which we will now incur additional cost to replace with a better quality product.

BEWARE: They use Aramex!!! So the product price was good, but this 'Same Day Metro' shipping they plaster all over their website is a farce designed to lure you in IMO. It took three days for that tiny order (that was in stock) to travel just 20 minutes down the road. Would never order online again. Would have been cheaper and easier to just drive to the store.
Just found out that a $500 pendant light over my kitchen bench has to be thrown out instead of changing the LED lamps. The lamps are integrated fittings meaning you can’t change them when they fail. We ordered an LED oyster lamp on Thursday afternoon and it arrived in rural SA on Friday!! WOW ….. overnight delivery!! The lamp assembly arrived undamaged because it was packaged in bubble wrap and thoroughly labeled as fragile. The lamp is exactly what we needed. Thanks for the incredible service Beacon Lighting.
