Show detailsSome sort of SCAM
The Solax Power 5 kW 1 Phase 2 MPPT Grid Connect Inverter KW Inverter worked as expected without issue in the carport for 5 years. 8 months later, RELAY FAULT error message appears. SOLAX POWER company says the 5-year warranty means I need to go and purchase a new INVERTOR! what a scam! The WIFI DONGLE in this system enables the companies to remotely monitor this system. There is some sort of tech fault suddenly, randomly, and now they want me to go and buy a whole new system??? Who else has this issue.
Show detailsDo not use this company!
I have had to have my system replace due to product recalls. OK, things happen however, It has taken over a year and the issues are yet to be resolved and we are still waiting for the old batteries-that nearly set fire to our house- to be removed from where they were dumped next to the house. Customer service is no existent and the right hand does not seem to know what the left hand is doing. Please save yourself som stress and don’t use Solar.

Purchased a PV system through Euro Solar at end of 2017 and installed in March 2018. A few minor glitched with the inverter along the way, but nothing major. As soon as the 5 year warranty was up, well, that's when it all began. Now the SOLAX Inverter is displaying a RELAY FAULT code continually, even though it self-resets every few minutes. 6 months out of expressed warranty and SOLAX wipe their hands of it - whatever happened to Implied Warranty? Fit for purpose? A unit such as this should be lasting 10-15 years as a minimum guide. Although t

Solax Inverter Landfill Junk
Our solax inverter lasted exactly 5 years 4 months. We were sold the entire package with a solax 10 year warranty stated on the receipt by eurosolar. Only reason we agreed to the package. Eurosolar no longer exists. Solax would not honour the 10 year written agreed warranty. Very upsetting and very expensive lesson.

Had an issue where some watts would drop out and missed out on a few KWH per day. Contacted Solax Support for assistance, they were very prompt and quick to reply for me to try a few things. Was unable to resolve the issue and was offered a free replacement & paid towards installation cost. Couldn't be happier! Pretty good they offered me a replacement, I didn't even have to ask.
Overall I knew this was a budget system with some Jinko panels, but the performance has still stacked up over the last 5 years to people who have paid twice as much. Pretty much have had no power bill since it's been installed (2 people in small 3 bedroom house).

Worst experience ever !
Worst experience ever installed in 2018 never worked replaced 2 inverters after installation 100 calls and emails later I gave up
still 18 panels on roof cost 4500k and never saved me 1$ on power just ridiculous and very stressful experience that the company I gave the money too didn't help at all .Just cowboys
SOLAX IS TRASH ! NOT EVEN WORTH RECYCLING - TOTAL JUNK
I've been in the solar industry for over 14 years as a licensed CEC Electrician and i have never experienced such poor quality product as Solax. In a period of 2 weeks we had over 20 inverters fail out of the box. Solax have stated that it was a bad batch and will replace with newly built models. We installed the new models and they also failed. Solax should not be producing inverters. Appalling customer service matched their appalling quality inverter. There are many other inverter brands that are similar price range or slightly higher : Growatt, Solis, Goodwe. Avoid Solax at all cost, its NOT WORTH THE HEAD ACHE.

Have had the system for 6 years. Spent c$14K incl LG battery . Beware the industry is full of nonsense artists. Ours went broke within days of instal. LG battery recently replaced (fire danger) EPS unit just failed c$800/900. Solax are very hard to deal with. Solar systems seem to be getting better and businesses are more professional but beware ,check around and ask lots of Qs.. . Not sure if the cost vs benefits add up in the long term.10 yr warranty a good option NOW. Would not go down Solax route again ,there are several that are far bette

Great system but they won't fix it
Solax has provided a great system but once a year it has a weird grid fault that we can't remedy. The process for getting fixed is EXTREMELY PAINFUL and takes up to 6 months of back and forth before they send someone to fix it. This means over the years we've lost a lot of solar for no reason. Great system, but they don't fix it when it has errors.

So I'm a Independent Solar Consultant... I've worked along side multiple Solar Companies and helped hundreds of Aussies get Solar and Battery Systems for their homes. In that time I've dealt with Fronius, Sungrow, SMA, Enphase, and SolaX. They are all great Inverters and all have the same warranties. The difference comes down to price. And this is where SolaX wins! All the engineers and solar installers keep telling me that the SolaX and Fronius are 2 best Smart Hybrid-Inverters on the market. Fronius is super expensive with no advantage.
... Read more SolaX is perceived as the newer guy on the block, that the other guys envy. SolaX is winning all the new awards for top inverter and batteries, winning awards in the last few years in Germany and the UK. And now here in Australia they've been here over 10 years and carved out a big chunk of the Inverter Market. SolaX is a better price with the same quality and warranties, so they win.Find out how Solax Power compares to other Solar Retailers

Bad quality won't last more than 3 years
Purchased a solax 5kw inverter with a 5 year warranty. The first solax inverter only lasted 3 years. Solax replaced the faulty unit with a new one. The new solax inverter only lasted 2.5 years. Solax has not honoured the second inverter 5 year warranty. Was told the warranty only applied to the original solax inverter. Solace are a disgrace. Do not buy solax products.

Overall Satisfied after 4 month
Got my house renovated to prevent bill spikes, add on solar on roof and changed new shades. I got Jinko on roof and SolaX inverter 5kW, able to see the flow on app.
Inverter manufacturer provides a 10 year warranty and has a local presence in Australia. This is important should the installer go out of business.
Show detailsHas worked well
We have a 6.5kWh battery SolaX Power Station system with two 3kW solar panel circuits installed in Sept 2018. The system is working well, the cabinet looks good, it’s well designed and very professional (I’m a retired engineer). We are low power users, average 6.5kWh per day with a peak of about 10kWh per day when using the air con.

Do Solax inverters need to be serviced and if so how often-what does a service check for?
Not sure they are seviceable, but make sure dust/moisture free. Vent underneath can block up. The industry is still evolving so dont get too excited imo.
No inverters need to be serviced.
Can someone explain what a "European" string inverter can do that a solaX cannot I'd love to know?
Anyone who's been in the industry long enough understands all inverters approved in Australia made in the last 5 years have the same fail rate.
The rest is in your head and the power of marketing.
The same people who used to laugh at Korean and Chinese cars 10 years ago have their wife driving one now.

My advice to consumers;
It’s not the brand of equipment you have installed that is ever the real problem.
The real problem is who sold it to you and who installed it.
If the equipment is installed properly it will work. If it does not work properly when or after it’s installed, for whatever reason, the installer should be the first point of call to resolve the issue.
If the installer or sales company attempt to shed responsibility for a non functioning system onto the equipment manufacturer , you chose the wrong business to purchase it off.
Consumers need to recognise that the work of solar generator design and installation is trade work. To be eligible for accreditation, that is to be qualified and deemed competent to design and install a solar generator , the practitioner must first be a qualified electrician, the business must hold a contractors licence and the person designing and installing the system must be accredited with the federal over-site body (Clean Energy Council / office of renewable energy regulator).
A salesman or woman cannot competently quote you for a solar generator if they are not accredited to design it.
They cannot be accredited to do this if they are not first an electrician.
It’s simple really, do not purchase a rooftop solar generator from an unlicensed, unqualified, non accredited sales person.
Purchase from a trusted local electrical trades business. Ensure that they support their local customer base with honest sales and workmanship warranty.
It should not be the customers responsibility to chase the manufacturer, nor even the distributor for warranty issues, it should be first and foremost the responsibility of the people you purchased it from.
If the people you purchased the system from are not the people who are going to install it; BEWARE!
