was entirely my fault, not setting it up right, I found it to be excellent and did everything I wanted from a GPS unit. The after sales service from Solid GPS and the team is excellent also. I have travelled extensively the past 4 years, SA, NSW, VIC, Qld, NT and the tracker has operated flawlessly, tracking my every movement. Another feature I like, is it also records my speed which my be useful at times. Recently I purchased a new tracker which has new features and as always, it operates flawlessly. The are basically a set and forget unit and as I said, they not only offer security but peace of mind. If by chance my vehicle was stolen, I am confident of locating it.

straightforward. It really is a "set and forget" type of device. While we are reasonably tech-savvy, we found the interface and the app very easy to navigate. The physical installation was a breeze too—no complicated wiring or professional help needed.

Battery Life We opted for the medium-sized tracker, which is rated to last 6 months on a single charge. So far, the battery performance has been outstanding. It’s a huge relief not having to worry about constant recharging or hardwiring it into the house batteries.

Customer Support We did have a small hiccup during the initial activation process, but the after-sales support was fantastic. They responded very quickly and had the issue sorted out in no time. It’s always reassuring to know there are real people behind the product who actually help when you need them.

Value & Connectivity The ongoing subscription costs are very reasonable, especially when you consider the technology involved. One of the best features is that the tracker can connect to multiple mobile carriers at once. Living in New Zealand and travelling in an RV, you know that signal can be hit-and-miss. Having the tracker automatically switch to whichever carrier has the best signal in the area gives us much more confidence that we can always track our vehicle.

Overall, if you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use GPS tracker for your caravan or motorhome, I can’t recommend SolidGPS enough. It’s well worth the investment for the peace of mind!

placed where they ‘can see the sky’

Examples of good working locations:

In 1 car I have placed the unit under the rear seat headrest. You can’t see it and with the headrest slid down on top of the unit it is held securely. This works in 1 of our cars but not in the second (4WD) which has a different headrest design.

The other car is a 4WD and I have placed the unit in a cup holder in the rear compartment.

In the caravan I placed it in a window behind the blind.

All in all an excellent product. Keep up the good work

As far as improvements I do find they work best with a view of the sky. When I place in the glovebox or similar it doesn’t work. Equally when the car is in an underground car park it doesn’t work (These 2 comments surprise me actually because in both examples my phone still works. I would have thought your tracker would be the same considering it has a Sim). Maybe an aerial redesign in your unit would be an improvement.

The Solid GPS tracker came highly recommended and I found: - it's easy to activate - it provides accurate readings on location - it has good battery life What I find most attractive is the Watchdog mode, which is sort of a perimeter warning and alerts the owner if the vehicle is moved from it's stationary position. Pro's: 1. the portable rechargeable units are very small and easily hidden. No wiring required. 2. SolidGPS have great little window stickers telling thieves, "Find another vehicle" 3. It's borderline ok. Having used this in earthmoving equipment other a few years it's not the greatest tracker. Using other trackers for similar price puts it to shame. Only good thing is it's Aussie made. Shop around.

The Solid GPS unit works extremely well. Excellent signal to 4G/5G when on the move The newer models of the trackers seem far more sensitive than the earlier models. recharge needed depending upon what size internal battery you get. This means it's easy to hide the tracker anywhere. Cost is pretty fair and well worth the money. Recently, I had an issue with my old tracker (it was about 5-6 years old). The team at Solid were very helpful in resolving the issue and responded to emails very promptly. Highly recommended.

Had my solid gps unit for several years now and had no problems until I noticed the back cover had came off from a slighlty expanded battery. I contacted solid gps and without question they sent me a new battery in the mail within days. Great to deal with and great product.. Show reply

The tracker is not the flashiest one available or the most precise ( showing blow by blow travel routes down to the last meter) , I had a small problem initially getting it up and running but it was eventually sorted. The ordering process was easy and trait forward. Parcel turned up in a timely manner. Charged gps and went through prosses to start tracking, unit would not start tracking so i contacted Solidgps they responded to my problem very quickly and it was sorted and works great. peace-of-mind. Also, I received an email from solidgps a few days ago asking if I was happy with the unit and sought my input into ways it could be made even better. I responded on Sunday stating I'd like to be able to change the colour (from yellow to purple) on the tracking map so that the car stood out even further. Within a few hours I received a response (yes, on a Sunday) saying that option was available in "settings" and that they'd done it for me. If That's the sort of timely response I get from just a simple enquiry, I'm more than confident that they'd be readily available if I really needed them.

I purchased the largest unit because of battery life and it's hasn't moved from 100% in a month. This device performs as advertised with easy setup. I'm happy with my purchase and with the mobile app. Customer service is attentive and responds back in a timely manner. I would recommend to others for a simple tracking solution. Show reply
