I have been putting Solugel on daily on a leg ulcer and when I change the dressing (daily) in smells terrible but the smell disappears minutes after. Should I change the dressing more frequently?

Hello, Can solugel be applied on warts wounds?? I had a minor pair of warts which turned into a nasty wound and skin irritation after the treatment. Can it be helpful to soak up the wound and soften the skin back to normal?? If anyone is from medical background or similar experience please help me out. Thanks in Advance.

Yes as I am having this now. I have been told to shower and dry each day then reapply the solugel plus a dressing. Mine is an open wound post surgery and stitches but has been opening up five weeks post surgery.

I have had a wound on my lower leg for over 2 months had 5 dr appt n 2 emergency visits they all kept giving me very strong antibiotics which seemed to work a bit the first 2 times, after that they did nothing. I have a thick scab but very dark red ring around it so very infected underneath, occasionally small deep holes appear, was told to use Bettadine but it made it worse, then told to try Manuka Honey, it irritated n stung so much, now im on massive vitc treatment n started using solugel today....fingers x it works cause im at my wits end n pain is out of control

Good evening. I am 28 years old and I currently have chicken pox (I never caught them as a child) for the first time! I have a few on my face which is worrying me because I really don’t want to get scarring. I refuse to scratch them although there actually not itchy. But tonight I accidentally kind of pick a small scab above my lip and I can tell it’s not ready to come off because it hurt when I did it. The other scabs I have not picked but I am still worrying about scarring regardless because of my age and a few of them are quite big! I just read that solugel works fantastically on chickenpox and when used on the scabs, it keeps the area Moist and when they eventually fall off, there is no scarring! I saw the post on a website called mumsnet and two mums that discovered solugel and used it during their chickenpox cycle both said there was no scarring. And what if a scab actually came completely off before it was fully healed, can you still use solugel and will there still be scarring? And last question: is it normal for my chicken pox to be filled with white pus (if it is actually pus) or does this mean they are infected? Please please respond as I am very worried and I really just want to heal with no scarring. Thank you for your patience and reading my message.

P.s. I live in the UK, London. Do I need to order the solugel off the main site or from eBay or another site perhaps? Thank you.

From Monique.

My elderly mother has a cancer on her nose however she keeps picking the scab off

She has dementia so there is no way of stopping her

Would this be ok to be put on when she picks the scab

It nearly covers her nose and is quite aweful

Hi Robyn Thank you for your question. First up, I’m sorry to hear about your mum’s condition, I lost my mum to cancer a couple of years ago. We actually used this as recommended by doctors on her open wounds. We find that it helps healing process of open wounds. But open Cancer wounds are one of those wounds that often struggles to heal, especially i think in older people. This would could be one of those things that is slow to heal partly because of the nature of it, and partly because she picks at it. It probably bugs the heck out of her so it’s natural that she automatically touches it all the time..perhaps without even the dementia having it’s impact on her mind state as well. It’s a sensitive situation so I should also say I’m not the right person to say whether it’s the best thing for your mum, Please check with her doctor, he may well suggest trying this, or may suggest something else. I wish you and your mum all the best. Take care and be strong.

Kindest regards

LadeeMuck
