How do you get the internet connection to work for apps? netflix works but all other apps it says there is no ethernet connected. But it is. I have turned off tv and back on.
Is the wifi on or not? You may have to switch it off and on from the powerpoint instead of the remote.
I rang Sony. The time was not correct so we had to switch to 'update time form Network' (under settings/time Date) and it worked. All apps are working again. There was no issue with our WIFI.
How do I connect a blue tooth headphone to this model?
Hey everyone, how do I get rid of all the extra tv channels that this unit has? For example, I already have favourites menus set up with just hd variants of channels that have both and no duplicates, but if we just use the channel up and down button it scrolls through channels we have no chance of ever receiving (eg. Channel 9 Gippsland etc). Basically I want them gone from the root menu of channels.

hello, i bought this model here in china because i live now in china, the problem is dont have Google playstore. so i need to install manually but i cant download the exact version of Google play service and the google playstore. please can you tell me which version is fit. the version of my tv is 6.0.1. thanks!
Hello, I no longer have this TV. I returned it for an LG. But the TV should have the Android system built in , yes? I am not sure which version you have, check the info or about settings to find the software version.
I would choose the latest version of any service anyway, it's usually the most secure and up to date. So grab those and see if they install.
The TV I had already had playstore installed.
Was yours bought 2nd hand? You could try to restore it to factory if it has been used, but if new I don't know why it's missing. :)
how much is it to buy remote rmf-tx200a for voice search?

Why should you have to buy a extra remote why not contact Fair Trading this is false advertizing
can or how to turn off the dong dong noise when changing channels etc ?
I haven't tried to do that. We've had a go and this seems to have worked. Press Home on the remote. Then scroll to the bottom of that to Settings. Press OK. Scroll across to Sound. Scroll down to System Sounds. Choose Off.
Then press TV to go back to where you started. That seems to have worked for us.
Select HOME button on remote. Scroll down to SETTINGS.Sroll right to SOUND. Scroll down to SYSTEM SOUNDS and select off ! Finished.nSelect Tv on the remote. Have good one.
great it work , thanks...
Hi just mute!! cheers, Graham
Did any of you came across the part that it is not actually HDR? We have to wait till firmware update which is according to Sony not out yet and jbhifi has it on the site that it is hdr
Hi. No knew nothing about it! !!!
I went on the sony product support and it confirmed the need for a firmware update and called the support number twice and gave me the same answer that it will will support hdr when the firmware update is released
Hey just wondering if they have HDR yet, I'm picking mine up on Monday and I was a bit upset when I read this
Hi, Instructions-> external link 'If the TV is not connected to the Internet' a.49" TV-> external link b.55" TV-> external link I accessed Sony site on 25-ar-17. Good luck.
Hi abc the update you have a link to is since nov 2016 and according to them it does not have an HDR update, the funny thing is that i called them and i said when netflex is saying that this is an HDR content and i play it and i press on picture info the tv had HDR on the menu, they said yes it is just recognizing it HDR but it is not really playing HDR and the pS4 says my tv is HDR capable but the people in sony insists that it is not HDR until one of them actually says it is HDR but not HDR streaming from the net and i was like but netflex,,,,and it keeps going on and on and i am not getting a straight answer and i sent them an email they never answered i will call them again to check but last time they said that they are still waiting for the HDR firmware update
Literally just bought this model and plugged it in to find no Hdr compatibility and then found this thread, Not happy at all with Jbhi-fi and sony as this was a specified requirement for ps4 pro etc... will be complaining first thing in the morning to Jb for advertising as a full hdr ready tv, contemplating swapping if they will to the samsung for the same price with Hdr!
The funny thing with all of that, when i plugged my ps4 pro it said ur tv is hdr capable do you want to adjust the resolution or something like that so at this point i am still puzzled but what i know is my next tv purchase probably wont be sony again a
I just went to Sony "online chat" as I was looking at buying one of these. At first he insisted that it was HDR and when I quoted from here, he went away to ask someone and came back with this: I have consulted one of our Senior Technicians and was corrected. It appears that this TV is HDR-ready, but not yet capable. My previous colleagues were correct when they said it needs a firmware update to enable HDR capability.
He also said that there is some firmware coming next month, but there is nothing to indicate that the firmware for this TV will be among them.
Looks like I'll be looking at another brand
All the docs say there is a voice search button (49'" Bravia X7000), but there is no such button!!
Can someone verify if it should have this feature?
It shows the Voice icon on the TV screen, but the REMOTE odes not have the voice button/light, as far as I can see.
Any insight?
Hi. Yeah I had same situation. From what I can gather you need a special remote that is suppose to be available but I can't find anywhere if that applies to Australia. I was disappointed too after researching all the stuff on the TV beforehand. I guess you should contact the store or call Sony direct. But I bet if it is available, it won't be cheap!!!
Good luck.
Same here. bought at JB HI FI, no search button on remote.
Same here . When you go into say YouTube or Netflix or any search and you use the remote you have too press to the right to go past the voice seach to manually type . It's weird because when you stop on the voice search it makes a sound and the icon moves like it's listening .... I gather it doesn't have a microphone ? I've never looked into it though . Might be worth giving the Sony customer service number a call .
Hey guys - spoke to Sony. The remote is 'optional' as per As per checking via link external link page 17 - an optional remote is needed to access Voice search. RMF-TX200A Ah, the small small print!!!!! They advise: Kindly contact Speedy Spares to check with them the availability of the accessory at (03) 9376 1333 (Victoria) or dial toll free number 1300 137669, select option 1 and option 5 to speak with one of Sony representatives.
I feel kind of cheated that they tout this as a feature, then bury it as an 'optional extra' and you have to source and buy an extra remote...
Very very poor...in fact, not quite honest.
If you plug in a reasonably sensitive USB microphone you can use voice even from your chair. Quite amazed when I tried this.
