Sparesbox used to be good. Now everything takes forever to be dispatched. Currently waiting on 5 items I should have ordered elsewhere. No phone number to follow up, and days go by for email responses. Genuinely disappointed with their service.
Extremely disappointing experience. Poor communication, poor service and zero accountability. Order 2628018-SB. I’ve used Sparesbox in the past, primarily through their eBay storefront, without major issues. This time I ordered Manta headers/extractors for a GQ Patrol directly through their online store. What followed was an exceptionally… Read more
frustrating experience.
The order took eight weeks, with repeated follow up from me, before a tracking number was finally provided and the shipment was finally on its way to us.
Then it arrived.
Instead of the GQ Patrol headers we ordered, we received an entire pallet containing a Manta LandCruiser 200 Series 3 into 1 exhaust system with DPF setup. Clearly, something had gone seriously wrong in their fulfilment process.
To be fair, Sparesbox did thank us for being honest and immediately notifying them that we had received the wrong goods. However, what followed was frankly unfathomable.
Rather than taking ownership of their own fulfilment error and urgently arranging for the incorrect pallet to be collected, the process turned into an extended email exchange where we were asked to provide photographs, pallet dimensions, weight and other details.
We are a private customer. We don't have commercial weighing equipment or equipment to accurately measure a large palletised exhaust system. Expecting a customer to provide this information to rectify the company's own shipping error is completely unreasonable.
What's even more difficult to understand is that TNT already has the consignment information, including the pallet's dimensions and weight, as part of the freight booking. Why Sparesbox needed us to obtain and provide information that should already have been available through their own freight arrangements is beyond me.
This is where the lack of urgency really became apparent. Their mistake had left our GQ Patrol sitting idle, yet instead of simply arranging collection and getting the correct order moving, we were left chasing emails and effectively doing the investigative work for them.
There is no phone support, but given the enormity of the error, you'd think they would put a voice to the issue and call you directly. Instead, everything had to go through email, adding further delay to an already unacceptable situation.
To make matters worse, the emails themselves were often riddled with spelling errors, poor punctuation and basic grammatical mistakes. In isolation, nobody expects perfection in an email. But when you're already dealing with a prolonged customer service failure, the poor standard of written communication only adds to the impression that there is very little professionalism or attention to detail behind the process.
Meanwhile, our GQ Patrol has been sitting idle and our build has been delayed for weeks.
It eventually took another week before they organised TNT to collect the incorrect shipment. Throughout all of this, they have continued to hold our approximately $800, despite us being completely upfront from the outset that they had sent the wrong product and being more than willing to have it collected.
The incorrect exhaust is reportedly worth around $1,300, substantially more than what we paid. We could easily have kept it and created an entirely different problem for them. We didn't. We did the right thing, notified them immediately and cooperated fully with the return.
You would therefore expect some urgency and good faith in getting our money released so we could purchase the correct parts elsewhere and get on with our build.
Nope.
Instead, after all of this, Sparesbox decided to offer us a paltry 20% discount on our next order.
That's a rather optimistic offer considering they have given us absolutely no reason to believe there will ever be a next order. It also completely misses the point. We don't need a discount. We need the original problem resolved properly, our money returned and our confidence restored.
The biggest issue here isn't simply that they sent the wrong parts. Mistakes happen. It's the lack of urgency, ownership and practical customer service that followed the mistake that is so disappointing.
After this experience, I have zero confidence in Sparesbox. Their emails may sound reassuring, but the actions haven't matched the words. At this point, it feels less like customer service and more like a process designed to buy time.
My advice is simple: don't make the mistake I made by using Sparesbox. I cannot recommend them in any way based on this experience. When something goes wrong, the way a company handles its mistake says far more about it than the mistake itself. In my experience, Sparesbox has shown a complete lack of accountability, urgency and integrity.
I won't be using them again, and I certainly won't be recommending them to anyone else.
Ive ordered quite a bit of stuff from them before. This 20lt oil penrite came in a box and was leaking. Asked for a refund and they offered me $20. What a joke, for a $220 worth of oil. Guess who has to clean up the mess.

0rdered a towbar, but only 1 box of 2 dispatched. Only email communication available, and takes days for response. In all it took 8 weeks to get the goods. The interaction and communication was terrible. Never again.
- +2
Batteries arrived packaged so poorly they were extremely damaged in transit. Items returned on RMA to sparesbox, then weeks of zero response to emails asking for a replacement. Out of pocket almost $1400 and it’s been 6 weeks. i don’t recommend sparesbox - next time i’ll use super cheap
Easy to navigate and use website. They had the products i wanted in stock, and at the best prices by a long shot. Delivery price was cheap, and delivery time was OK....around 2 weeks, but they stated that it would be, so no surprises. I will use again if their prices are the best.

Received only 1/3 of my order on 18 May (Order #2589496-SB). The remaining 2/3 has not been dispatched and I have received zero response to 3 emails over 10 days, despite the website promising 1-2 business day response times. No tracking, no… Read more

Follow-up · Although after posting this review they reached out and resolved the problem, I am leaving it up as it is factual and it shouldn’t have taken me doing this for them to do so.
Forget this company. Never sent my order despite charging. Kept going back & forth with Ebony in their office. She kept asking for more information as though i was asking a hard question. In the end, i screenshot the credit card debit they took and… Read more
emailed it in.. it was $150.31. Once the proof arrived & Ebony's defence failed, she stopped communicating. No doubt their plan was to keep the money anyway judging by others reviews. This company are cons stay away!!
Follow-up · Never offered a refund and instead continued the runaround. Long delays (a few days) between emails.. and that’s off they reply at all. No other way of contacting them. Do not buy from this company unless you like being burnt.
Do not purchase from this company, They are quick to take your money but there warranty process is not existent. They get you to send parts back and then you are expected to wait 3-6 weeks plus while they send parts back to the manufacturer.
Follow-up · They take your money and do not process warranty claims in a timely manner. They take days to answer emails and of course they have no contact phone number to speak to a human. Steer clear of this company at all costs. Terrible purchase and after sales experience.
Positive reviews
I will admit, after reading some reviews I was skeptical about buying from Sparesbox, but the price for the springs that I wanted was significantly cheaper than everywhere else. So I took the chance and purchased from Sparesbox. I wasn’t in a rush for the springs so I anticipated a long wait time for delivery. The springs arrived a week later.… Read more
After installing the front I realised when I got to the back that I had ordered the wrong springs. I notified Sparesbox not expecting them to do anything, but they responded and offered a full refund, I just had to pack them up and they would arrange pick up. I did receive a full refund. I agree with some reviews that it can take a couple days for them to respond to emails, but they clearly state that it can take up to two days to respond. I am very happy with Sparesbox and will continue to do business with them.
Ordered the part properly allocated for my vehicle it was a swift delivery well packaged but didnt fit the vehicle ... they refunded the amount including my original postage and because it was a smaill item <$50 they told me not to bother with return. Bike parts Order Cancelled Without Clear Reason – Poor Experience I placed an order with Sparesbox and it was cancelled without any clear explanation. pricing errors, that should be communicated clearly and immediately — not handled by simply cancelling the order.
The lack of transparency and communication makes it hard to trust ordering through them again.
Would not recommend based on this experience.
Sparesbox warehouse workers are nice hard working people. However their website is designed purposefully misleading, showing product range incompatible with your vehicle. part was found, but not available for 6 months, I was told. If you’re into wasting time and money, then this company is for you.

Repeatedly advertised items as “in stock” but shipped late or not at all. Multiple orders delayed — one took over 6 weeks and only moved after I repeatedly contacted customer service, who gave vague apologies and no reliable solution. Poor inventory management and communication; I don’t recommend this store.
ZERO STARS don’t be in a hurry or expect delivery, they have ZERO STOCKS, ZERO CARE/SERVICE. They do advertise the lowest price but if they cannot make a profit at that price they will hold YOUR MONEY and eventually refund. DISGUSTING BUSINESS MODEL. AVOID AVOID AVOID
Do NOT buy anything from sparesbox.com.au I ordered and paid for brake pads,, then got nothing for 2 weeks, before they sent an email saying they cannot supply the product. You'd think they should have known this 1 to 2 days after getting my money and order. Never again.
Ordered parts to service my 4WD (Oils, filter kit etc), wrong parts sent, refunds offered and refused because the parts were bought while on sale. show or get a refund. This is my first and last transaction with Sparesbox. Not worth the agony, even if it saves you a few bucks.
Don't have stock, take your money and then don't send anything. I ordered rotors and pads last year. They advised the rotors were on back order and would be 4 weeks. I waited the 4 weeks then contacted them again, they said they still didn't have an ETA I waited another week and then cancelled the order. What a waste of time
If you buy multiple items they won't ship them all, then claim they have when you complain, and it takes them 48hrs to respond to a email, phone number disconnected, and 1 month later having to claim for a partial refund through PayPal and still have to get parts.

First time purchaser, located two sensors on their website which were stated as "in stock". Purchased items on 7 December 2025 and checkout advised goods are received within 5 business days. To date I have only received an order confirmation, nothing to do with shipping or dispatch. I wouldn't purchase from here again, much rather pay a few dollars more and purchase from Repco or Supercheap. Posting this for other consumers awareness.
Bought a clutch kit, didn’t come the alignment tool, takes them 2-3 days to answer my emails, and now it’s friday, so i’m gonna have to wait until probably wednesday until we actually get somewhere. packaging was questionable aswell. clearly, and i get a reply with “Yes, it will fit your car ☺️”
only good thing was it delivered within a couple of days, but i’d rather get the whole kit within a couple of weeks other then waiting for one singular part holding up the entire process of getting my car back up and driving.
Totally Useless and it seems dishonest. I placed an order for a bottle of two stroke oil on 30/10/2025, the item was marked as shipped the next day 31/10/2025. The tracking number listed on the sale shows Pending to this day. I contacted Sparesbox a… Read more
few times asking why my order was not shipped, firstly they told me they would get back to me but never did so i raised my questions to a complaint. I was then told that I was not an experienced online shopper and that my order was delivered and left in a safe place on the 24/10/2025 days before I even ordered it. Clearly Magic disappearing OIL. I asked why they lied and failed to deliver my order and got a big sob story of nonsense. ONLY TODAY I RECEIVED A REFUND. No explanation or apology for all my wasted TIME. My concern now is what are they doing still advertising and showing up in all my searches when clearly they can't be trusted to sell a single bottle of two stroke oil.
Follow-up · I was told the item was posted with Australia Post and should have arrived by the 07/11/2025 at the latest if it was shipped when they originally stated. I notified instead of waiting and waiting and waiting and only got to know this fact when I contacted them? It should be the other way around?
They didn't bother answering.
So 2 stars because they gave me a fast refund but I'll just avoid this place in future as they are unreliable and just couldn't care less.
Now I had to find them elsewhere and all the other parts are now here (pads, lines etc) and I have to wait even longer and missed sales due to these....... cannot think of a nice word to say.
Everywhere you look online for Sparesbox it's spend $99 for free shipping in metro Sydney. Did that by including some extra crp I didn't really need to reach the $99, and then no free shipping, had to pay $10. Very misleading advertising all over the web by Sparesbox and others
Follow-up · Sparesbox came to the party and fixed the free shipping issue, cudos to those guys
Ordered an exhaust system. My mate ordered the same system after I did. I was told it's not in stock and couldn't recieve it. My mate however got his. Unprofessional through out the whole time when I asked as to how this could happen. Never using them again.
