Drove the rest and bought New Rexton – The negatives- No reverse camera, GPS or after market nudge/Bull bar, Space saver spare tyre for 4x4!!! The good- Very comfortable, great fuel economy 35 mpg plus, handles well on the highway, great in the sand and tows well for a 2l diesel. Very easy to DIY service, most parts available on Ebay, I save on labour and use the best oils and… Read more

parts. I took advice from some of the European blogs and dropped the huge central muffler out of the system sounds much better still quiet and you can really feel the difference with performance. (Still not a V8). I got a 5 year extended warranty. Like all vehicles the dealers are the main problem. If you have problems and the dealers will not fix, bag the crap out of them on social media and name names as I have had Holdens, Merc's, Toyota's and it is always the owners fault not the car!!! There are lemons with every brand. I have had all 3 series of Rexton's the best is RX270 XVT SPR which my son has now with lift kit and his huge tyres and goes every where cheaper and more comfortable than the $80k plus cars. Yes I'm a Double Dragon (Ssangyong) fan, 3 Rextons, 1st series Korando, Kyron and Musso. I will be waiting for the next 2018 Rexton with the merc seven speed auto and their 2.2l. Happy motoring.

Great performer and very under rated – I currently have a 2015 Rexton Y285. This is my 3rd Ssangyong. First one was a 2008 Kyron with the 2.7ltr motor and 5 speed auto. Purchased it new and did 90K. Apart from servicing, replacing a set of tyres and a battery, it gave me trouble free motoring. I pull a campervan, and a boat regularly and it was perfect. I was so impressed I bought… Read more

a top of the line Rexton in 2012, again with the 2.7ltr motor. I did $48K trouble free KMs and this time with the more luxurious fit out. In 2016 I traded it on a demonstrator Rexton Y285. I was initially apprehensive about the smaller 2ltr motor. It is not as responsive, particularly when overtaking or on an incline but with adjustments to your driving your quickly get used to it and the impressive fuel economy. The 15K service intervals help with maintenance cost. I have done 40K on this and it is faultless. Could do with some tie down points in the rear compartment. The 5sp transmission is good, but old technology. 6 or 8 sp would be a great improvement. So...as a previous owner of Landcruisers, Patrols, Jeeps and even a Discovery, I have found a brand that suits my needs, is well optioned and is excellent value from money. Ssangyong could do more with sales and marketing. This would improve its 'brand' and as a result improve resale values. The product is equal to and in fact better, in my view, than Kia or Hyundai and they all come out of Korea.

The allmost perfect car. Great buy – This car is built for the off-roaders. That love to get a bit dirty. Got it in 2012. It definetly could be improved. Had it for a year and had done 30000 km and it wouldn't change gear. Had to pull over on the busy road and turn the car off wait a couple of minutes and then restart. Happened for a little and the stopped. Got to the end of last… Read more

year (2016) and couldn't get it out of drive. I thought that would be the end of it, took it to the machanic and hat to get part of the gearbox replaced. Having previously owning a Mercedes I was expecting big things. I didnt quite get it but for the price, didn't really matter. The interior in quite stylish just lacking a bit of colour. Came with a lot of air conditioning. 1 st, 2nd and 3 Rd row seats. Just lacking a bit of tech compared to its rivals ( HoldenCaptiva Ford Teritory TX and TS and the and the Hyundai Santa Fe. Why did we chose the Ssangyong Rsxton. Heard great thing about it. I'm probly being a bit picky. The paint isn't that great either. it scratches very easily and if you are someone like me, and don't like scratches on your car, it's expensive to get fixed. Great job Ssangyong Mercedes motor group., just a lit bit from great for the price. would recomend

I'm so glad SsangYong is back in Australia, they are Great Cars ! – Over the years I have owned quite a few SsangYong Vehicles, including 4 Rexton's, 1 Musso, 2 Kyron's, 1 Korando and even 2 Chairman Limousines. I have always been impressed with the build quality, comfort and reliability of these vehicles. I even enjoy the styling somewhat. Manual 5 speed gearbox and 7 seats. The finish and quality is very nice and performance and economy are great. A lot of people think they are made in China and confuse them with Great Wall's, but these are premium made Korean Vehicles. Shop around for a good mechanic and servicing can be quite cost effective. One guy quoted me $3000 to change the fuel pump when vehicle would occasionally stall after driving for 15 minutes. Turned out to be a Crank Sensor and I replaced it myself in 5 minutes for $60. Another time I was quoted $4500 for a new Turbo, when it was only the DPF needed cleaning. I did it myself for $20. Don't get suckered in to paying huge money for repairs. Common problems on these vehicles are usually Crank Sensors, Cam Sensors etc, which are cheap to replace yourself. They can also get a faulty seal on the fuel cap, which can trigger a Check Engine Light or even Limp Mode. Minor things, that once you know what to look for, cost very little, if anything to fix.

Miss it a lot – In 2012, our family decided to buy a new car that could accommodate all our needs, we needed a large SUV for our growing family. We went out one day to our local car dealers and came across a 2008 SsangYong Rexton RX270xdi Sports. Was something I had never seen before, after taking a decent look at it, we took it for a test drive and fell in love… Read more

with it (thanks to the previous owner who kept the car in pristine shape). This was the base model but still came with quite a few goodies for the price the previous owner had paid (less that RRP) which included a decent sound system, side steps, roof rails, a DVD player for rear seat passengers, rear air vents which went all the way into the third row with their own fan speed controls, brake assist and electric and heated side mirrors.

This car also drove beautifully with not much turbo lag, great ride and handling and decent fuel economy with an average of 9l/100km from its 5cyl 2.7l turbo Diesel engine which made a respectable 121kw and 340nm which was pretty good for a car of this era. The AWD system was excellent and there wasnt much to fault about this car. In the time that we have owned the car, we did around 130,000km since 2012 (total of 190,000km) without it missing a beat. Servicing costs were also pretty low which was surprising as the car was fitted with Mercedes Benz running gear. The car aged incredibly well, all the paint still looked pristine minus a few tiny scratches and the interior held up extremely well. This car had been apart of the family and was truly loved and looked after.

At around 180k km, we started to notice a problem with the AWD system being stuck in the wrong setting, although the setting was manually adjustable, we switched it over but it still wouldnt go into the correct setting. At first we thought it was nothing but then it never went away which was partly our fault for not doing anything about it. $1,600 latter, it was fixed. After this, we had no problems with the vehicle at all but then sadly we had to let it go as it got written off. This was hard as this car had brought so many lasting memories.

If anyone was considering buying a SsangYong, I would highly recommend one.

Over 90 cars, and finally found the best – After 3 &1/2 years of trouble free (65000Klms) of reasonably hard driving, and having owned over 90 cars of varying types and makes, I firmly believe I have found my ideal vehicle. foot caravan and boat with ease, most of the time hardly knowing they're on the back. Fuel consumption is a constant 7.5 L/per/Klm normal/mixed driving, and 9.5 L/p/k when towing.

Performance from the 2.0 Lt motor is nothing short of phenomenal (see note below). It will out accelerate most vehicles from the lights, and powers like a steam train when passing. Handling is very sure footed, unless you have more than 4 people in the car, which makes the back end a little soggy.

The only things I can think of to improve this vehicle is slightly softer suspension for the road, but then more uncomfortable when 4x4ing, and not as good handling, and a 6 or 7 speed auto would be great.

A clunk/take up when changing from reverse to drive, I believe is normal, as I had the same with a 2003 Kia Sorrento and Landrover Discovery 2, never a problem, This I think is built into many 4x4 autos as a safeguard on steep slopes, it instantly changes straight into forward/drive from reverse.

NOTE: I have made only 1 modification to the motor, costing less than $200 which now gives me 165Kw & 502N/M of torque (WOW)

P/S we also own an 2011 Actyon Sports with136000 Klms, (with same modification) and have owned a 2013 Korando Petrol, both fabulous cars.

Just an underdog that is a real gem inside – Hello, I am from Bosnia in Europe and I drive a used 2007 5cyl Diesel XVT automatic AWD with magnificent 187 hp. I bought the car 4 years ago and have done almost 250.000 km in it. The car gave me the trouble of losing the front wheel which is because of poor or lack of a real Ssangyong mechanic here in Bosnia, and so I had to learn the hard way… Read more

that the lower front ball joints had to be replaced every 50.000km or so in order to keep your car on the road. This is a typical "Merc" issue where the ball joints give no sign or sound of fatigue until they pop out. Now I replace them every third service (every 30.000km) just to be safe but since it is a cheap fix it is no problem for my peace of mind. I recommend a transmission fluid and filter change every third service for silky smooth gear change. No mechanical issues so far. Engine is silky rough as I like to describe it. Tons of torque and lots of mileage. Mine does with aggressive driving approx 12 - 14 l/100km. I like the AWD no fuss (no separate drive select on my trim) capabilities and for its construction (separate chassis), very good handling (8 point link in the back) Only flaw I think is the sensitive wheel geometry, so I do a checkup or repair twice a year (every seasonal tyre change) Lots of room for the dog and the kids. Very reliable car and because every car has its downs, I will not mention mine because they are my individual views of what a car should and should not have or do and I will not mention them because there are so few things wrong with this car for the money. Yes its Korean hard plastic interior, but very well equipped and I just have not met his rival for the money. Yes it is a Mercedes in disguise and I love it.

Should mention that I do on average 60 - 70k km a year and my service is every 10k

Every service I replace all the filters including the AC filter along with the air intake filter. I try to use good quality diesel

and I drive it hard (highway) in higher revs ( no higher than 4200rpm ) as much as I can.

repair such as wiring. New glow plug sensor. New fuel water separator. And few others things. Second time code just got cleared and only drove it home less than 7 km next day went to start it same thing engine light back on buy this time I have had it and had sent it back to dealer got refund. While it does look stylish. From the side. 3 row seats very cramped. And a pain to get kids in and out of. Steering is a lot different to Australian cars you'll find a lot of over steer to have to go round a corner. While it is a four wheel drive and went OK on the sand is still very low compared to its rivals being land cruiser or Pajero.

So trying to go up sand dunes didn't have it in it to do it. Instead went around is very good sound system that's jack on the driving comparison. 2 and row seats OK but still very crowded. Remember it's to have a Mercedes engine but in fact it's a blue print of that engine Mercedes didn't actually manufacturer it. Being a European car don't really think it's suited for the Australian client. I was lucky and able to take mine back but if you buy one and don't have that option you will be stuck with endless problems and regret. The key has a battery if it goes flat you can't buy one in Australia. I could not recommend highly enough not to buy one the turbo diesel is what I had and it smelt all the time not much power really I got told prior to buying it. That old be better off with a push bike and in all honestly you would be. Do not buy a SsangYong Rexton 2006 or really any. It's a cheap made car. Made to look good but that's it cheap made and cost a lot to keep fixing.

Not the fastest thing but the end of the day ITS A 4X4

Fuel economy is good avg 8.5L per 100km

Its got all the bells and whistles that you need

Its comfortable on long trips

Every day the Rexton has to drive on 20km of unsealed roads and a creek crossing and 60km of tar for the wife to get to work and has been dealing with it better then expected.

In the process of putting on mods eg lift kit, snorkel, tyres

i knew before i purchased it that is one bad thing about the Rexton (after market parts)

If i was asked if i would recommend a Rexton W the answer YES BLOODY OATH!

Rexton W - Just brilliant – This is my fourth Ssangyong and it is the best by far, I purchased it in June 2014 and it has not had one single even slight issue. ensuring the car is always in the right gear at the right time.

Full chassis, rear drive on road with selectable 4wd that includes low range means that this is a proper old skool four wheel drive suited to towing and offroading. It's ride is very good for this type of vehicle - a massive improvement over the Kyron I traded on it.

I am a big fan of sand driving and all the Ssangyongs I've owned have been fantastic for this - and I keep them stock apart from tyres.

So far I have the only Rexton W in SA, but I certainly hope that more folk click on to the fact these machines are incredible value for money. For they are asking for them with driveaway pricing, it puts the competition to shame really.

All in all, if anyone is looking for an affordable new 4wd that can do all things capably, then look past the 2.0 engine specs on paper and take one for a spin - you'll probably be as pleasantly surprised as I was. In fact a very enthusiastic Kia dealer told me upon viewing the Rexton; 'I really wish we had our badge on this car - I could sell hundreds of them.' And that says it all - look past the Ssangyong name badge and you will find a great car that is being ignored by the market purely because of brand snobbishness.

UPDATE I've had the car for 11 months and traveled a very enjoyable 16,500 km in it now. So far it's been absolutely perfect reliability wise. Service intervals are 5,000 (free) 15,000 and every 15,000 from there on in. The 15,000 service was a very reasonable $350. Fuel economy continues to be pleasing at about 9.1 around town.

People mention that reverse cameras are not standard - this is true, but a bit of online shopping saw me find a camera that fits in the space of one of the numberplate lights (still incorporating the light) and a 'factory' fit Infotainment / Satnav unit that replaced the factory stereo for around $500 AUD. The head unit bolted straight in and came with a wiring loom that just plugs straight in to the original wiring and it even shows the Ssangyong logo when it starts up while retaining full functionality of the steering wheel controls etc. This upgrade overcomes the biggest negative about the Rexton and makes it's specs on par with the best of it's rivals for a fraction of the price.

Update #2 I've had my Rexton well over three years now and have hit 70,000 km in it. The last 12 months have seen us move away from the city into a rural setting where the car gets used on all surfaces from usual bitumen roads, to white metal to sandy tracks and even where there are no roads at all on a weekly basis. On top of this, it now travels 80 plus km daily on the return journey to work. Once again, there is not a single issue to report, my Rex still works perfectly. Everything from the memory on the drivers electric seat adjustment to the battery in the key remote is still operating as good as the day I drove it off the lot. Despite what the naysayers proclaim, these are high quality vehicles and Ssangyong is making leaps and bounds in terms of product maturity and development

Update #3 The Rexton has just celebrated it's 4th birthday and has hit just over 91,000 km. She has had her first reliability hiccup with the power window motor on the driver's door burning out. That was 6 months ago and a new regulator plus motor were required (about $300) A couple of fuses went at the same time, on the power mirrors of all things. All have been replaced and 6 months on, with no further issues. This year also saw the brakes need replacing at the 85,000km mark. Beyond the aforementioned window motor, it is still providing supremely reliable transport. It has towed furniture floats Melbourne to Mt Gambier several times this year plus a mammoth 13 hour day towing a car trailer with a tractor on the back. For anyone reading these reviews and looking at the Rexton as a possible car - mine is the last Rexton to be sold in Oz, the W facelift model with the 2.0 diesel and 5 speed auto. These are 2014 on build and feature completely different engines to the earlier ones that people are reporting issues with. Those are the 2.7 5 cylinder diesel / 6 cylinder petrol models.

Update #4 (Final update) It is with a tinge of regret that this will be my last update on this fantastic car. After 5 years and 115,000 km I have now sold the Rexton. Beyond the window regulator failure, this vehicle gave faultless reliability right up to the moment it left my stewardship. Would I buy another? Absolutely! And for those wondering about the depreciation question - I sold the vehicle based on redbook value. I compared it's value and depreciation to it's competitors and found something interesting. The best car for depreciation is the awful Isuzu MU-X and the worst......... Toyota Prado, then Mitsubishi Challenger. My Ssangyong was somewhere in the middle of the pack in terms of actual $$$ lost on purchase price. Given it's relatively low initial purchase price, this vehicle has absolutely delivered on value for money right throughout my ownership of it.

good. We test drove the main competitors and came to the conclusion that the Rexton performed better in most key performance criteria (for me this was mechanical refinement, ride, handling and standard of finish) and was unbeatable in value for money criterion. I test drove a $70,000 Prado and in my opinion there is little difference in general performance. At sub $40,000 it is an exceptional vehicle and has the balance and poise of of a substantially more expensive vehicle. The only thing holding back sales of this vehicle is poor or non-existent promotion and marketing and unjustified consumer and 'journalistic' prejudice. Do yourself a favour and test drive with an open mind, you may be surprised.

Pretty good car, awful resale – The Rexton is a good touring car, with reasonable handling for a 4WD, although the damping control from the shock absorbers is below standard. The lack of a trip computer on a car costing over $40,000 is unforgivable when they are common on sub-$20,000 cars (it is found on the next model up, the XVT, which is another $8-9,000 more expensive). 7-seater arrangement is terrible, is usable only for small children and takes up valuable luggage space. I have removed mine, which gives an uneven floor with no tie-down points. The interior is wall-to-wall black which is very hot in summer. It's also boring- even the trim is "carbon fibre". There are few places for oddments, and the glovebox and centre console are very small. The "carbon fibre" extends to the steering wheel which is fussy and annoying, as well as sweaty. A plain leather wheel would have been appreciated.

The engine/gearbox combination is superb, but the Tipronic function is available both from the gearshift (which is rather "cheap and nasty") and with steering wheel buttons. I rarely use either.

I live in the outback and see quite a few Rextons towing caravans so they must be good for that. Their tow limit is, however, low for the mass and power of the car. I have the factory towbar and this easily drags on suburban driveways- it would be hopeless offroad with a large effect on departure angle. While my car hasn't spent much time offroad it has done some beach work and was fine- once the tyre pressures were lowered.

I've heard of issues with the Torque-on-Demand from a noise and reliability viewpoint but have had no issues with that on my car which has done 33,000km. There are some annoying issues with the TOD though- the car can only be towed with four wheels off the road, and all four tyres have to be replaced if sizes are to be altered from standard. As mentioned earlier the spare wheel is a pathetic "limited use" job yet all review I read prior to purchase clearly stated "full-sized spare". Full size it is- useful when crossing the Nullabor, NOT! Ssangyong ask nearly $1000 for an 18" alloy wheel like the rest, plus tyre cost!

Frankly, while I like the car for many reasons, it wasn't and would not still be my first choice in its class. That honour would go to the Kia Sorento, which is both cheaper and better equipped. The diesel model was not available when I wanted to start my new lease.

Finally, while other Ssangyong models are winning plaudits for well-equipped and keenly priced cars (the new Sport ute being an example) almost all Ssangyongs are bagged for awful styling and this brings Ssangyongs in general down, both in public perception and in resale values. good styling, high-tech, economical and powerful engine, good automatic gearbox comfortable seats dreary, dark interior with storage lacking, poor 7-seater setup, advertised "full-sized" spare is actually a steel wheel with speed limited tyre, poor shock absorbers

Bought a new one – Have had my 2005 Rexton Ltd about 6 weeks, resale value obviously not real good as I paid $32700 with 25000 kms and bought from a dealer. Good for the 2nd buyer. We are really pleased with the vehicle, gives excellent fuel consumption 9.5 - 10 Litres/100Km and seems to be well finished and performs well both on and off road and also looks good.… Read more

Vehicle needs more promotion because most comments are " Who makes Rexton" or similar.

Would recommend anyone looking for a good quality 4X4 at an affordable price to take one for a test drive, dont be put off by the fact it is Korean.

In January 2011 traded the Rex in on a new Rexton 2 Drive a way $35990.Has performed without fault to date. Still think they are one of the most underrated vehicles on the market. The car now has 34000 km so will keep it a few more years. When I traded the old Rexton, got $17000 as a trade in so it cost me $15700 for 5 years

brilliant/reliable tow car – we bought a 2006 rexton brand new and it has served us well for a family 7 seater and the car has towed 2.5 tons for many trips interstate and locally .Its now just ticked over 100.000kms and still strong ,still towing long distance .it is nearly due for a new clutch as expected working hard most of its life. reliable ,efficient some sensor trouble on glow plugs and parts sourcing Show details

Love our Rexton – Owned our 2009 Rexton for 18 mths now and just love it. Perfect size for all our applications with excellent use of interior space. Quality interior, great seats and appointments. Engine is a dream; smooth, powerful and efficient - great towing vehicle. Very competent at high speed and overtaking. Such a smooth and quiet car and surpasses… Read more

all the Hilux, Prado, Patrol, Landcruiser, Rodeo, Triton, Navara vehicles that I have either used extensively for work or leisure.

The only downside has been the lack of overall travel and total load bearing in the suspension. Changing it out for Dobinson springs which really make a difference. Same advice for Actyon and Kyron which are great cars too which family and friends drive.

Excellent handling and maneuverability along with a lack of rattles and solid off-raod performance.

Just hoping Ssangyong decide to market the new model in Australia. Quality, driving performance and pleasure. Relatively low purchase cost compared to other comparable 4WD cars Limited off-road and heavy load suspension but easy to correct.

will buy another – Had our 2006 Y200II for 15 years, bought second hand. Put nearly 600,000 kms on it, has really worked hard and rarely missed a beat. Kids have tried to trash it, been on 1000km drives with it, packed the dogs in it, load for the tip etc and it's retiring slowly as a farm-basher. Can't seem to find a way to kill it! Then bought manual 2011 Y200II,… Read more ·  1

had it for 10 years, put nearly 400,000kms on it, still going strong with no real issues. Now bought the current model (2022), it's got 100,000kms on it, just as happy. Wish the reversing camera was brighter, if that's the only issue then we don't have one.

It's done it again – You guessed it, the clutch is broken again. 4 clutches in 27 months and only 24000klms. What is wrong with this car. I guess it is time to let it go and purchase an ozzie car. It looks good - a lovely car but nothing but problems with the clutch. Goods looks No warranty service - just a useless piece of paper Show details

Good – My 09 Rexton is a lovely car to drive but the quality of material lets it down. I had a flat wheel on a holiday trip and had to fit the spare. The next town was about 150km away, which meant I had to do 80km/hr with the tracksion control going crazy due to the spare being a tiny bit smaller (rolling radius)than the standard 255/75/16 alloy… Read more ·  2

wheels.-Not pleasant at all as the esp tried to put brake pressure on the wheel with the spare on. Fuel consumption is very good 8.5-9.0 lt/100kmNice comfortable drive. Stupid sparewheel and 7-seat arrangement.Stitching on passenger seat coming undone.Cheap feeling plastic's.Why put the jack under the seat??

Selected Review Rexton Y200 II / Y285 II RX270 Automatic

Love the car. Excellent all rounder – Love our Rexton and had both series I and II. Preivously drove a Merc ML320 and the Rexton is very similar (the parts are a lot cheaper despite similar technology!) Current Rexton is a 2007 Rexton II RX270 Manual with 60,000kms. Excellent fuel economy (9L / 100kms) No issues to date but I agree that a coil spring and shocker upgrage is a must… Read more ·  4

for Aust conditions. Doesn't matter what brand you buy just spend the $1000 odd dollars to get new gas shocks and stiffer coils.

Most of the issues that people experience are due to the Dealer network not the vehicle. Most Dealers struggle to see enough vehicles to accurately diognose faults and SsangYong Aust provides limited support. Even SsangYong dealers don't want to give a decent trade in price despite selling the car later at a huge profit. They have a huge margin on the new cars so they expect a large margin on used.

Common issues are wheel alignment (no-one has accurate specs not even the alignment specialists or SsangYong themselves), Delphi injectors can sometimes give trouble (Aust Dealer's charge $1700 odd each vs $400-500 if you buy genuine Delphi units tfrom Korea), spare keys and consumables are rediculously expensive from the dealers..... buy on-line from OS, much cheaper and still genuine parts!

Overall, If you're prepared to do your own parts buying and try a few dealers to find the best, you should have a long and positive relationship with your SsangYong. Efficient, Beautifully Styled, Excellent Tow Vehicle, Excellent Diesel Engine Expensive parts (from Aust Dealers only) Lack of info from SsangYong Aust.

OK – Overall this a a good car for the price, however the back pocket on the front steats has ripped off easily. Getting spar parts has been a problem for some reason the dealer always needs to order parts to get minor things fixed whether its regarding the engine or interior. The biggest dissapointment is the resale value, this car has one of the… Read more

hightest depreciation rates ever experienced. I would not buy a Rexton or SsangYong again. Mercedes diesel engine and geabox, Nice Style, Solid build, Smooth and quiet ride, Lots and lots of features and functions throughout. OK REXTON – Not that long after i purchased the car new in 2006 the check engine light would come on every now and again and the car would go into limp mode. It took 3 years to fix it twice to Perth and to Sydney and still was not fixed. They did everything they could but nothing worked , a mechanic came over from Sydney and it was a loose connection under… Read more

the battery, but they had changed everything on the car you could think of. I don't use the car much as i have a work ute and have only done 30000k in 6 years .Services are over the top on price last one was around the $400 mark. The car has had the accelerator cable replace 2-3 times under warranty as it looses power sometimes and still dose it from time to time. Apart from that it has been ok and i have not had any problems up to now ,it drives ok and is smooth and quiet . It's re-sale is very bad i payed 42k for it and would be lucky to get 18k for it now. The towing capacity is not good at 2270kg i would have thought it could do more than that as i have now got a 24ft caravan and hope it can tow it. The after sales service from the dealer was not very good and we had a lot of arguments at the start ,maybe should have got something else.Unlike others mine has a normal mag wheel and tyre for a spare , that's 1 bonus. Drives well ,good on fuel enough power for me Worth nothing to trade, towing capacity ,service charges , spare parts& after sales service

Excellent – You get a lot of car and features for very good value. I have researched the specs on other cars but you need to pay $55K plus to get what is on the Rexton. I am changing the spare wheel for a 2nd hand proper rim for $110+tyre. My last car was a Territory but it wasnt AWD, had less safey features and the fuel bill was frightening. a powerful and reliable diesel engine (Ex Mercedes Benz) that hasn't changed much and is used in most Ssangyong cars - stick to something that is good. My limited contact with the dealer and the new Australian agents (Sime Derby) has been fantastic. Happy driving! Fuel economy, power, features, 7 seats, nice car to drive. Temporary spare wheel
