Took longer than they estimated to complete job. one window covering wasn’t ready so they didn’t bring it (disappointing, & why wasn’t installation delayed until all items were ready?)!, & then they discovered several measuring errors, so they said several window coverings had to be re-made! Again took longer than estimated, including me having to chase people in the company by phone to find out what was happening. Each Stanbond person sounds trustworthy & reassuring but none delivered anything they said they would in the whole process. Mistakes at every point after initial measure & quote. (I took dated notes of every phone call & conversation for my own records.) Before re-made window coverings were installed I phoned to check my order (colour, which windows, how many items in total), & asked them to give me their word that all the window coverings would be brought to my home. They agreed. However, after one installer arrived he said one window covering is still at the factory (Salisbury) & he’ll have to drive back to get it! (Probably losing about 1 hr travel time while I waited.) But he phoned the factory & someone from there brought THREE window coverings for him to choose from, for an exact fit. After installer completed my job & left, I noticed one window covering in particular was a slightly different shade from the others on that window. . . I sent photos of the mis-matched colours to the sales/measuring person, & am still waiting for them to come to my home to look at the wrong colour & rectify the problem. The total bill was several thousands of dollars more than expected.

Very disorganised company, needing to improve: measuring accuracy of windows; system of organising orders & storing them professionally (they lose things!); standard of excellence (they aren’t bothered at all when customers have to wait weeks & weeks longer than estimated, or when products have to be re-made); communication with customer; & the unrealistic (overly positive) time estimates they give.

I think the budget brand Spotlight would’ve done an equal job for much less than half of what Stanbond charged.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STANBOND BLINDS.

Inferior products and inferior service. Chased them for months to fix the installed product that has not operated correctly at the outset (still doesn’t) Their “customer service manager” Daniel didn’t respond until we made a complaint with Consumer and Business services. Great service,products and workmanship – I contacted Stand bond to do a security screen front door and windows . Service was great right from first contact quote to instillation. So easy so I decided to also have them install window and sliding door tinted films. Once again great service and communication workmanship was excellent as well as very courteous. I highly recommend them.

Unhappy customers – So disappointed at all the stuff ups encountered just trying to buy some roller blinds with a simple pelmet each. short so remade yet again! Pelmets remade in correct style but still needed modifying. Full price charged despite months of hassle, inconvenience and stuff ups. Just need to fill up all the screw holes left now from wrong fittings because of all the errors mentioned. No problems with the actual fitters (5 different ones in total) and they bore the brunt of the errors.

Appalling Customer Service – Tried to buy a Crimsafe product. But Stan Bond staff are rude and have attitude issues, they refuse to provide information! Dissatisfied and disappointed – Had a sliding security door installed. Sales person needed to come twice to do measure and quote - first time "just to have a look" and second time to measure (and he turned up without tape measure). Avoid at all costs – I do not recommend this company at all. We ordered plantation shutters in Nov 2020 and were given an ETA of 12 weeks, but the shutters weren’t fully installed until Sep 2021, some 10 months later. separate occasions I took the day off work to be home for the installation and no one even came. On the times they did bother to show up, prior measurements were wrong or parts badly damaged so couldn’t be installed. Months of waiting inbetween, every single time.

When I let them know how dissatisfied I was with their service, they promised to refund 10% of the cost as compensation (I was told this was their standard offering so it obviously happens frequently), yet here I am 6 months later and they are ignoring my calls and emails.

Avoid at all costs. When they get your money their service turns to crap.

Update on Amateurish Review below – Stan Bond returned to complete the three blinds today, March10th.. Thats eight days earlier than they originally advised me that they had booked an second install date for. Ths installers knew what they were doing this time. The issue with the one blind that they first installed was mostly rectified after some discussion. The three installed blinds look neat and tidy and work well. NOT SO GOOD – Requested a quote for 3 x outdoor blinds, Rep was good on site and informative, however the office help was very poor, when followed up with questions, passed back too the rep whom was on leave. says something about attention to detail and customer care. harassed by pesky follow-up calls. The turn around time was quick and it all ran like clockwork. The installation day came and they arrived on time! Installed them in a very professional manner going over and above my expectations to make sure I was happy & they even cleaned up afterwards. I now have shutters that gives me peace of mind as security is greatly increased and they look amazing. I can sleep at night in peace and quiet in complete darkness and I know that come summer I will be raving about how much cooler it is inside too. of blinds and powered shutters built by them with just a couple of adjustments on warranty our faith in their judgement was what ticked the last box so to speak.

With the installation there was no drama we booked and arranged a time to call. Arrived early blinds now fitted and cleaned up and hey presto. It’s done.

What we have found is that additional to our double glazed windows in summer the heat gain has reduced even more in the toilet and bathroom where the blinds are.

Great value and service – We had 3 large internal blinds installed. The largest was almost 4m wide and drop so was pushing the limits for this design. It needed so alteration which stanbond arranged quickly and efficiently. Great value and service. We would definitely recommend Show details

Good and bad – We have had a automatic fold out awning installed. Overall the customer experience was very poor with the salesman - Jan, offhand and unpleasant to deal with. very exposed position and the day being particularly wild and wet. No complaints from Rob whatsoever about working in the rain and he still managed to do a perfect job of the installation! at the appointed time, I got the quote and called to discuss, then had to chase to get an updated one. It was the cheapest quote, but I was then told I had to pay 50% deposit, the blinds would take 4 weeks and no one could tell me when the final measure could be done - they wouldn't start production until then. Very disappointing, I didn't go through with the work, if they are happy to take my money in advance without providing basic customer service, then I have no faith in their ability to delivery a quality product.

Highly Recommend – From my first call to installation i could not fault the professionalism and friendly service I received. I was so impressed with how I was treated that I had already decided if they quoted up to $100 more expensive than a competitor I would still go with SB blinds based on that alone. Left ordering too late but Stan Bond could get them installed – I had Christmas at my place and needed something for our outdoor area. I left it too late and a number of companies couldn't do it in time. The guy from Stan Bond was good and not pushy and their prices were about the same as others but they could get it done in time. All the product seems good, the Crimsafe doors are strong and Zipscreen blinds stop the heat better than I expected.

Outweight all other quotes and a quality blind provider – It's has taken me 7 yrs to finally get proper blinds for east / west facing windows. Bunnings blinds now formally retired. Did not want shutters - these new mesh blinds block out 95% of heat and uv etc while allowing you to see out but others cannot see in. You pay good money and you expect the job to be finished off properly – If you pay good money you don't expect to have to finish the job off properly yourself. Is is that hard to spend an extra 15 seconds on fitting the ring pulls properly. If you pay $2.5k for a new blind, you don't expect to marks and scratches over the powder coated aluminium extrusion. The end result is that we have a valance covering the offending board & screws and I'm now a happy customer. Prompt attention by owner of business
