Half star would be to nice – Enquired about a new kitchen, received a rough quote and told to use unley store. Quote came through more than $2500 more than the original. Also $1100 delivery where the heck are you going for $1100?
Poor quality – Would never use Stegbar again. $9,200 job. Major faults, took 3 months to resolve. Stegbar rep was dismissive of any complaint. "Stegbar do not compromise". answer; so I got in the car and drove there. Once it was clear I was there to query a problem the reaction changed and it defaulted to warranty I.e you’re out of warranty so the cost to send someone out is $160+ plus any parts and labour after that. The doors in question were installed 4yrs ago! I questioned the warranty to discover glass is covered for only 7yrs while “small parts” are covered for a measly 3yrs. Speaks volumes about quality right there...
Stegbar was 70% installed in our house when we moved in late 2021, we did the last 30% in 2022 (without questioning/researching), had we had this experience beforehand we would absolutely have gone with UPVC from another company.
The advice to us is try fixing it yourself or pay the call out.
Ps. Stegbar windows/doors are heavy, hot to touch in summer and really cold in winter. We have 1 leaking picture window (in heavy rain) and seals curling, twisting, and coming loose in others. Fly screens are jerky with screws coming loose. That’s our Stegbar experience.
The customer service is, as others have described, “appalling” given the cost but the warranty should serve as a warning to others.
It’s clear we’re on our own here.

three weeks after I had paid - despite being assured by Velux that the spares were in stock and ready to ship. Poor or non-existent communications and a belief that it is reasonable for customers to wait three weeks for shipment of spares means that I shall never deal with Stegbar again.
Mark A went above and beyond – I recently got a replacement sliding patio door handle and managed to damage it when installing it myself. order and it seemed that only 1 door was noted. Sent x2 requests to include the other door. Received the amended order and signed assuming the amendment was made. Delivery occurred with only 1 stacker door 3 weeks from occupation of renovation.
3. Sent section detail of Alumiere product. Sales person claimed it wasn't a Stegbar product. She had no experience with installation details.
Recommendation - Use Rylock in SA or another company with experienced, responsible and ethical sales people.

to avoid further waste of time we erected two new builds without Stegbar products. Now on another project we sought a quote for one of their premier doors, provided all the detail but the quote promised for later the same day has never been provided. If you are considering Stegbar in South Australia, moving interstate may be a reasonable alternative.

Stay away! – Had very bad experience installing wardrobes in Adelaide. Quality of doors are OK, but shelves have scratches. Installer was terrible. Installer installed shelves on different level, damaged existing walls (new house), tried to "fix" issues using gap filler etc. Installer coordinator sent the same installer to fix issues after our complaints.… Read more

Finally another installer fixed major issues. Had whole story for about month.
Paid 100% before installation (my mistake). Asked for any compensation from StegBar (could not use robes for the month) - answer was no.
So, if you don't want to buy headache for your own money, stay away from StegBar wardrobe department! Don't know about others (like windows etc.), but wardrobes was terrible...

Shocking and almost criminal service – Stegbar were contracted to supply and install our mirrors and shower screens. On installation they noted the power point cut outs were completely wrong and wanted our electrician to move the power points. I advised that I will forward the cheque once I have inspected the works after I finish work. Not good enough for them, they removed a shower screen door and took it with them for non-payment. I was advised by many not to use them - I now see why. My error for no listening.
