Stihl RE163 Plus Questions & Answers
VerifiedDoes the RE163 Plus have a rotating surface cleaner attachment?
Anyone own this? Stihl states operating bar at 120, the european version is 150bar.
Can anyone verify operating pressure for the Australian version?
Operating pressure of the Australian RE 163 Plus is 120bar, maximum operating pressure is 160bar.
In other words, the unit normally operates at 120bar, and the pressure of 160bar must not be exceeded.
Thankyou. It's also something i've become aware of researching this. Strange decision by Stigl to have their top of the line pressure washer in the Aussie market have less psi output then both models beneath it, Re129 and Re119.
At 135 bar and 125bar.
Every brand has their most expensive washer as the most powerful.
It’s not strange at all pressure peels paint volume of water is what does the work 1500 to 2000 PSI is plenty for all applications. when you buy models that are tweaked up they tend to blow up quicker because of the pressure on everything..
Hi mate I’ve been researching washers for months now and majority of reviews base it on cleaning pavers/drive ways. Your the 1st person I e seen that’s addressed what my concern is (to wash my cars without stripping paint or damaging any trim or parts) I started looking at the karcher k4 as it had an adjustable pressure dial, this then led to AVA but although excellent warranty etc can’t adjust water pressure only by changing lance which then led me to stihl they have adjust water pressure plus soap draw which I like the idea of. Please any help or suggestions would be greatly greatly appreciated
Kezza you won't strip the paint or damage the trim, I've jused the Re129 Stihl 135bar and Michelin Rb160 130bar for 5 years now and it has been fine with the car, just don't use the turbo/rotary nozzle, use the fan jet at its widest angle and keep your distance from the car like 60+ centimeters.
