Incompetence – (Reposted from google for inclusion). From first contact on 08/09/21 Stratco Doveton has been nothing but incompetent. Dreadful customer service. worth of product. Expecting installation of blinds prior to Christmas. From initially not submitting the paperwork for the installer to measure up, through receiving a phone call on 3/12/21 to inform me they actually don't make the blinds I want (and paid 50% deposit for), I foolishly requested they continue with the custom screens.

On 03/02/22 I attended Stratco Doveton and picked up screens only to get them home and find they didn't use the installers measurements, they used my width and a guestimate on the height. 08/02/22 contacted Stratco to have them remade and these picked up. They requested I measure the areas for the screens. Informed him the installer still had the measurements as I had spoken with him and to get them from him.

On 08/03/22 rang customer service to ascertain firstly if an order had been placed and if so when it would be delivered. No order found. The customer service person looked at the file then told me he didn't want to get involved. Understandably considering the mess they have made. Nick was supposed to call me on 08/03/22 with an update but didn't. I can only imagine that nothing has been done.

I have now purchased and had installed 5 blinds that could have been supplied and installed by Stratco had I been given the correct information on 03/11/21.

UPDATE. 10/03/22. Waited in for phone call. No call received. Attended Stratco Doveton and spoke to Nick. No order placed for replacement screens so I've been waiting a month for nothing. Refund received.

Subsequently received a call from the Stratco retail manager on 10/03/22 who offered to resubmit order. Offer rejected.

alternative options, leaving me feeling frustrated and disrespected as a customer. As a solution, I would have appreciated if they offered me alternative color options or a similar-sized shed. However, they only gave me the option to wait six weeks or cancel my order.

Since I wrote my feedback, I got a call from them and they sent returned item from other customer to me. There were 4 bad dents on the corner of 4 sheets in the same spot which might happens in transit. My firewood were already delivered to me and starts to get wet by rain. No time for me to contact them and claim it. Totally wasted my money and time with Stratco. Highly not recommend this brand for your sheds.

Account department hopeless – After Shaun, the store manager did an excellent job in looking after us however, the accounts department screwed up, the mistake was my fault were I accidently overpaid, put $5,000 on the wrong card. our accounts, Ok I thought, they should be able to do it the next day, NO, it will take 2 weeks. No explanation as to why from accounts, I found this out after waiting for 3 days after the request was given to the accounts department. Again, excellent service from the salespeople but I would hate to have any sort of monetary dispute if it takes two weeks to process a credit card credit.

I have now purchased and had installed 5 blinds (that could have been supplied and installed by Stratco had I been given the correct information on 03/11/21).

I have suggested that Stratco Doveton could be better utilised as a dispatch depot for the collection of product by installers and consumers, as the times I have attended, the premises has been empty apart from staff. The staff I have dealt with definitely need retraining or closer supervision.

make contact, discussed late supply with manager ( Shaun ? ), he expresses surprise that, he knows nothing of the issues and suggests, product maybe available week beginning 6 the Feb, 2022.

I pickup and load, product is okay however, no plastic plugs (4 * 40 mm) in square sections of gate, I supply ex Bunnings.

Conclusions; This tradesman had been told, don't deal with Stratco, will I ever learn to listen to my building mates and to think, I've only been in the building industry for 50 years !!

Stratco need to learn, even if the message to a customer is bad news, they still need to communicate, NOT stick their heads in the sand and hope no one sees them !!

excellent - nice touches such as wing nuts, corner protectors and powder coat finish. This is my second purchase of the same product. They have not rusted and faded the way my initial beds have, purchased from a discount retailer. Onsite parking is great as it's so close to the store.

erect it. Got a call the day before to inform me that the delivery day had to be changed due to a driver being ill. I said I’ve arranged for erecting the carport the next day and I’ll have to cancel everything which upset me so I said to cancel the order. I was then told they can put it on another truck and it can be delivered. I asked for rough delivery time and told I’d have to call after 9am on delivery day. I went to the shops early as I was told to call after 9 as I didn’t think It would be delivered before that but 8am I get a call the truck is at my house so had to rush home . After the driver left I discovered 3 pieces of the carport were missing. I called stratco and was told they’d look into it and call me back but 3 hours went by with no call and I needed these pieces that day as I had taken time off work and it was getting erected the next day so I called again. Was told they can’t find the parts and would call back in 10 mins , no call back after an hour so I called again. This time after being told they’d look into it again and try give me a call before close of business I told them I need the parts before close of business . Was told the parts would be delivered the next day which I had no choice but to except, hopeful they would arrive In time for the blokes I had arranged for erection. Get a call half hour later saying the parts can’t be delivered till the Friday. Extremely angry I called the installer crew to cancel and was lucky they could come Saturday morning. I arrange for more time off work as my house has locked gates and I have to be be home to except delivery. Friday comes , mid afternoon no delivery so I call AGAIN. Bloke on the phone knows nothing about the situation and said he’ll call back. I explained to him the amount of times I’ve been told I’d get a call back and got no call , he said he’ll definitely call back , guess what , no call back . I call back In a rage as I had the installers coming in the morning. Told them they can come and pick there carport up I’m over it . I am then told they would try to get a courier to deliver the pieces on Saturday morning. The pieces finally arrive around 10 Saturday morning. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, absolutely disgraceful.

and aid that the problems could be fixed, but the crank angle post which was manufactured not square, he has no idea how to fix that So after a phone call to him yesterday and him not returning my call, so my husband called his mobile this morning and asked him if he could return his call, it’s 10pm, I don’t think he’s going to call tonight I rand his mobile at 5.30 and left a message for him to ring me tomorrow as I’ve had enough This is an $11.500 build, I feel thru should compensate us financially and then go, so we don’t have to deal with them again That way we can pay someone who knows what they are doing and will actually communicate with us to come fix it Debbie Phillips

False promises – Went to Stratco Dandenong just after lockdown ended in to organise patio blinds. Obtained quote and was advised blinds would be installed prior to Christmas. Payment was required in full prior to a site visit to measure up. Once again we were assured blinds would be fitted before Christmas and we paid $6200. Approx 10 days later on site… Read more

installers came to measure and advised blinds would be installed before Christmas. Later that day received a phone call from Stratco Dandenong advising blinds would not be ready until late January. Next day rang Customer Service requesting full refund and was then advised that blinds would be prioritised and definitely be installed before Christmas. 2 weeks later I called Stratco and was advised blinds will not be available before Christmas but sometime late January to mid February. I have since cancelled the order and received refund.

I am disappointed that Stratco asked for the money in full (other companies ask for a deposit and remainder paid after installation) and that they continually promised a delivery date that they now say was never achievable.

No response to quote request – Submitted a quote request at Doveton store 28/3/19 and received confirmation email that day. This was followed by sms advising request had been forwarded to a company that would contact within 24 hours. No contact was received after 5 days I rang to follow up! I was advised they would look into it! Then no response. I rang again some days later… Read more

QUESTION If it takes four weeks to not get a quote, how long does it take to get a job completed?

I’m not waiting to find out! I won’t waste any more time with STRATCO.
