and what the diary was. We knew what trades to expect on site and if any delays why this happened. Our build took 8 months from slab to handover.

The project continues – Finally got a slab down. I thought maybe things would get better however bricks turn up, but then no more deliveries due to rain flooding the access. Turns out drainage we paid Summit for was not connected by Summit. Now the ground is too wet for them to finish the drainage. So more delays and a new slab with piles of bricks decorating it. Summit have been Great in everyway – Dean supervisor has been informative, pleasant and helpful in all aspects of our currently being built granny flat everything is going along very professionally. Floreat Granny Flat – Extremely happy with the eventual design and customisation of the new granny flat. Drew Murray's experience helped us get what we needed and the building design compliments the 1935 existing home. decided to choose Summit based on the end-to-end service they promoted. At no point during the design and build process did we regret that decision.

During the design development process we had a number of variations, additions and deletions from the standard. This also included changing our mind on design issues on several occasions! At every point during the design stage (either in the finalisation of the plans or the choosing of the final products) we were treated professionally and benefited from the input from Summit’s staff. I would particularly commend Drew Murray who engaged with my family to ensure we achieved the best outcome and he treated the project as though it was his own granny flat. We benefitted greatly from Drew’s professional experience on many other projects.

Drew set a high benchmark of professionalism and this was equalled by Matt Castafaro, our Site Supervisor and also Danica Watts our Client Administrator. When you undertake a project like this there are lots of questions and issues that require an answer or quick resolution. Matt was always available to respond to our questions and queries and the scheduling of all the trades was seamless. If an issue arose Matt and Danica were always proactive in advising us.

The delivery of our granny flat on time and on budget AND at the quality we wanted is a credit to Summit. In summary, we have been extremely happy with the level of service we received from Summit Homes and would have no hesitation in recommending their services to others (as we have done).

treated with the upmost respect when we have visited the build to see the progress. I wanted to make a special mention about Nathan who has been our site supervisor throughout the build. He was very knowledgeable and planned the progress with precision, one trade after another. Whenever we asked what trade/work was happening next he had the information at his finger tips and that is exactly what happened. He is a genuine gentleman who had time for my aging parents questions, and answered and returned calls when promised. My husband and I have experience of building two houses in Australia (not by Summit) and Nathan is certainly a high quality supervisor. The relationship with the supervisor can either make or break any future referrals, we will be singing your praises and would not hesitate to refer to friends who are interested in building a granny flat. Granny Flat for my Mother In law – Recently had a Granny Flat built by Summit. Really happy with the finish and quality of work. Built on time and any small problems or delays during the build, our Site Supervisor was quick to get onto to get things back on track. Pre-start was a breeze with our Contract Administrator coming up with some really good ideas to make more efficient use of our limited space.
