Our renovation started with some design enquiries with a couple of builders for a single storey renovation with a small addition to the living area. Our initial contact with Summit was with their designer Charlie who was very helpful and allowed us to visualise a design both myself and my partner were happy with.

We started the process of looking at getting a second storey extension and we explored Summit as they were original builder of our house back in 2014.

My renovation started in April/May 2022. Throughout the process I have felt at ease with the professionalism shown through the project thus far, from Darren Holt. Darren NEVER fails to answer his phone or call back asap whenever called. That is so important during these projects. Darren will go out of his way to stop at the house to answer questions in person and provide full explanations to all of our questions. Really pleased with Darren and look forward to the next stages towards completion.

From the time renovations started in mid March 2022 to the back of my house and now almost finishing Darren Holt my construction supervisor, has been a great source of knowledge and assistance. All my queries and questions were answered truthfully and professionally. He goes out of his way to assist and allay my concerns and offers solutions. Darren is also hands on when the situation warrants it. I am looking forward to the next stage of the renovations to the front of the house.

From start to finish we had open and honest communications with Summit's group of well qualified staff. Nothing was too difficult and seamless timeframe always communicating if there were any potential obstacles to navigate.

From planning and receiving drawings to work through winter with no roof and through to final completion Summit were great we really had no complaints whatsoever. Adam Hamill was great supervisor. Great outcome for our renovation.

We signed up with Summit Renovations ("Summit") to renovate our house in February 2021. We met with Summit's design consultant, Ashley Tunley, on several occasions. We have all heard about restorations and the unknown outcomes - but the team at Summit, from consultation through to hand over was top rate. During the build the construction manager Adam Hamill was easy to talk to and assisted us along the way and he must be applauded with his can do attitude. His team of contractors also made us comfortable while the build took place around us. One of the best decisions we have made.

For our reno we were looking to increase the bedrooms and living areas in our house, for our growing family. The plan added a bedroom, bathroom and a multi-use area (play/theatre/second siting room) and, in all, we added an extra 59sqm to the internal floor space. We chose Summit over a smaller builder for our renovation because we are busy working parents with a young family who wanted a one stop shop. I spent a long time deciding whether to sell and move, or renovate our 1950s three by one and made the decision to renovate in 2019. I called Summit and spoke with Ash who met with me within a week and then started to draw up some designs. It was easy to meet with Ash, he was available at times before or after my work, and because he lives in the area he understood the council regulations and how to design a livable house within them. The building works were delivered well but the design stage, office communication and the engineering outcomes were appalling. The price jumped 25% at the last minute, after we were committed, but before we signed. We did not get the agreed outcomes and I wrote three detailed letters of complaint on the way through. Got nothing in return so don't bother writing to complain.

We had a second storey put on the house by Summit, it uses their Masterwall system and that is rendered. Just after 5 years I noticed that I can see the polystyrene through the render on north facing window ledges and notified Summit of this defect 10 days past the 5 year mark.
1. Summit have since created their own Dulux Acrashield technical documentation to say that it has Fretted.
2. Admitted that they did not apply the third layer "Acrashield Advance" which is supposed to give extra protection, it was not given as an option or even explain...
