They are not to be trusted for warranty work.I have gone elsewhere to fix the solar panel issue. I have purchased elsewhere now and upgraded with extra panels and a 48kw battery. You are the most dishonest Solar company I have dealt with. And Happy I paid 10k this time to a company who deserves it.

dropped dead. Now it was me asking for updates on a regular basis but only to receive generic replies. Than his supervisor finally got back to me saying that they need to find an installer. When asking why they took us on Bord if they cant deliver the service did not result in a satisfactory answer. So in December I was all of the sudden advised that either I get my deposit back or wait until January and than we will be treated with priority. Well it is almost mid January. My phone calls dont get answered. I have sent two emails. One to [Name Removed] and one to his supervisor [Name Removed]. NO reply. This is unacceptable and to whinge to the customer that they have to many orders is not the way to go. If you cant provide than dont take on more customers

In the end, I had to engage another solar company to fix my warranty issue. Also ended up purchasing a 10k battery and extra solar system through other company

paid final amount of invoice. They didn’t take the old panels which is still in my front yard for couple of weeks, I contacted them again but no answer at all after final payment. If you are not satisfied, DO NOT make payment early for them. Very disappointed as others.

expecting a smooth installation based on the reviews on this page.
I was given the time frame of 8.00am - 9.00 am as arrival time. No one came and after a phone call around 9.00am sub-contractor came at 9.50am and his crew came close to 11.30am. So installation started after 11.30am only. Solar installation completed around late afternoon/evening and electrician had to come next day morning to complete the electrical connection and meter box works. My expectation was that solar installation will be completed by 2.00-2.30pm on the given date. But I had to reschedule my work day due to delayed start of works.
Further, upon inspection of the meter box, subcontractor told me that I need to install a main switch and overload protector at meter box which will cost me extra $ 175.00, otherwise Energex will not connect the solar system. Sunmax told me that I have to pay it in full but after few phone calls, I agreed to pay $75.00 as I had enough and wanted to proceed with installation.
Also subcontractor identified that one of the cables between mater box and distribution box was not to the standard and about 10m of wire need to be replaced with 2c x 10mm2 wire. It was quoted as $ 350.00. I agreed to pay for it as it was discovered after opening the back of meter box and can not be seen from photos. However, I end up paying $ 400.00 for it as installer could not complete it and had to come on next day. At the end I paid $475.00 to sub contractor in addition to solar system price.
Regarding the solar system, installation was completed and now I have system working without any issue. Had a trouble with wifi connection configured but after few attempts, got it done.
Excellent value for money! – I saw and replied on a Facebook add. I had to email them a second time but once communication started it was relatively easy and straightforward. installer could only fit 16 instead of 18 panels as promised and quoted, 2; the team did not come out to confirm the work to be done and warn me of the first issue. In view of this my potential power generation has dropped over 15% meaning a power build up of 25-30kw per day as apprised to 35-40kw like my old system in Melbourne.
In general I can however emphasise their pricing was amazing, installation quality was excellent (compliments to the young man) and their communication was very good! they will install next week. Due to wet weather conditions installation couldn't be completed on the initial day and had to reschedule. The installers cracked a few roof tiles but the installer told me where to source the tiles from and when they came to install the following week they replaced all the cracked tiles for me and asked me to inspect them before they wrap up the site. I am very happy with the completed installation, they cleaned up the site and took all rubbish with them. The installer has done a very neat job and connected everything to the main switch and paid nothing for the meter upgrade as it was all connected just a simple meter replacement to a smart meter. After the installation was completed Peter from operations contacted asking to clear the remainder of the invoice and all paperwork including CES, warranties were emailed to me within 3 business days. Overall good experience, they respond to every queries even if it is not responded right away, very competitive in pricing though, product quality and workmanship are pretty much same across the industry. Highly recommended.

Dodgy poor customer service – Unprofessional. Was told 5kw system was the maximum I could install with was actually 10. Promised 1-3 weeks try 10-12 weeks with no communication from them. From unprofessional sales people and support to sub contracted installers. Your better buying elsewhere.
Unprofessional or No After Sales support – Got the solar system installed in Oct 21, raised 3 issues related to installation and they are still not fixed after 5 months. Every time you raise them they say that their installers are busy and will schedule a date soon. They claim to own the installers but in-fact they are just consultants, referring job to different installation companies.… Read more
Think before you choose them as there is no after sales for such a expensive and long term system - you need aftersales support. Sales guy is very nice but over committees in terms of after sales.

Benny made the deal. I got the installation within three weeks. The installer team was professional and efficient. They came at 8:30am and finished the job by 2:30pm. Installer Nguyen even helped me with putting up a small canopy to cover the inverter and batteries with a nominal fee. I am satisfied with their customer service and would recommend them to others.
Amazing – After discussing with amazing Aaron and compared with other providers, i found that Sun Max Solar has a very competitive price as well as a much better customer service (i have dealt with other providers that installed at my place 10 years ago). Got the best price and great after sales support – Putting review after around 8 months of installation. Excellent after sales service as emailed them with the picture and explained the problem.
