This machine is garbage. My milk frother has to be held in physically to use it, that’s when milk even wants to come out. The power button broke and I also had to physically hold that in. Now it’s completely fallen out, so I can’t use it at all anymore. It lasted 4 months. Don’t buy.

Ok Espresso, terrible cold milk/froth – Espresso shot is reasonable for a double walled filter, but watery compared to the EM5300. Even on the lowest froth setting it produced way too much froth (approx 50% of the cup) and required to be microwaved for at least 20 seconds to get to a reasonable temperature. Milk only no coffee – Coffee machine was given as a Mother’s Day gift 2021. Up until a month ago it worked fine (all cleaning done as said by the manual) now only the cappuccino button flashes between the two sizes and continually try’s frothing milk even after the chamber is empty. Planned obsolescence? – 13 months of trouble-free use and suddenly stopped working. Very little milk making it up the tube and coffee comes out simultaneously. It was a good little machine and made a reasonable cup of coffee. Mostly just used once a day to make 2 cups of coffee. Had no response from Sunbeam after making this complaint privately. Worked well just didn't last long – I wish I had found these reviews before buying this machine. It worked well for 8 months giving me a great cup of coffee every morning. Unfortunately it seems that this machine is not made to last as I'm now having the same problem as everyone else. The machine just won't produce much froth, just leaks water from the filter head and I end up with watery coffee. Show details
Not impressed yet – Purchased a few days ago and noticed there doesn't appear to be any holes in the little 1 and 2 cup coffee filters. Did all the right things and tried it anyway but very little coffee comes out of the porta-filter. Removed the porta-filter and noticed the filters are full of water. Show details

Now, I will say I am not a fancy coffee person, I'm happy to drink instant maccona coffee so I can't really tell you or compare it to a stupidly priced cup of coffee. What I can say is that it exceeded my expectations. I find that there is more than enough froth come out and it actually makes a pretty good cup of coffee! I use it on late as I like creamy coffee and it never fails for me. I do miss being able to make large cups of coffee however I just have instant coffee after my 2-morning coffees using this machine.
Downsides? Well, I kinda wish it has a 24-month warranty as there is a little bit of flimsiness from the milk container and this worries me a little bit. Also, it takes a while to get its self ready to froth milk. Show this stop you from buying one? Absolutely not! it's a $200 machine that makes a cup of coffee for you! I actually wish I bought one earlier! I will end up buying a few when they decide to come out with a newer model so I don't have to get used to another machine cause for me this machine is absolutely fantastic!

So if your making a coffee , best to just go manual and do the 3 second thing with the selector buttons. The auto milk frother has a tendancy to overfill a cup... and this is where the ambiguity kicks in. How big a cup do I need? Is this a time off/on thing or does this machine dose accurately?
The manual option is best... just do it yourself... You will not be dissapointed
As for the rest... well its much the same as all the others and a typical result for a crema. At least its button press.
Not too impressed with the group handle its a bit thin , would like it more stronger / denser. Im sure it will outlast the machine, Its just my thoughts here.
Looks nice though.... If we are talking vogue looks, this unit holds its own and brought the price down for some of the features if compared to others from more expensive brands. The spacial geometry of this unit makes it look rather stylish over just some square appliance sitting on your kitchen bench.
