I have a brand new Sunbeam milk frother (purchased an hour ago) I used oatmilk (which I always drink). It is not frothing at all. I have used this before at a friends (with soy) and it was perfect. Help!

I purchased the EM0180 about 2 months ago and it has never frothed my drinks... Is this a fault??? I'm using the foam function and have the foam disc thing attached

Hi Jan Have you tried the "fonzie" a gentle tap ;)... I'd take it back and exchange it, it will still be under warranty.

My EM0180 is about 3 months old, has worked perfectly until this morning, now the mix (centre) light flashes at each attempt to heat and froth milk and nothing happens. Any thoughts as to what the problem is?

Our Sunbeam frother is 2 years old and has just started to stop frothing milk. We just get bubbles. We have right spinner in but its like the machine is not running as fast as it was. Any suggestions? (This is our second machine)

My Sunbeam frother is leaking out of the spinner base. It doesn't work nearly as well as it used to although I've only just worked out why it was always so brown on the base no matter how much I keep cleaning it...burnt milk everytime!!! Can I get it fixed??

LMR

I can see a few people have had the leaking milk issue through the bottom rivet coming lose, I've now got burned milk on the hot plate and a luke warm coffee! Unfortunately I'm no longer in the warranty period but definitely haven't had it for that long, is anyone from Sunbeam able to assist? Thanks

I've had by Cafe Creamy for about 10 months and it's been excellent, but just recently doesn't seem to be heating the milk up as much as it used to. Has anyone else had this issue/know what it could be?

Our EM0180 is about 18 months old, it is always kept clean and has worked well until recently were it no longer rotates, but I have noticed that the base gets really hot! Does the magnet frother loose its magnetism so it stops rotating? Or is there something else that stops it from working? Regards David

David E.
David E.

I've got the same problem. Magnetism seems fine and if I jiggle the jug around it generally kicks in. That said, the milk doesn't froth nearly as well as it did before. My suspicion is the motor is probably shot. I've sprayed WD-40 on the pressure switches in the base but it makes no difference. I'm going to buy another as I've got three years of solid usage out of this one and I'll keep the jug and the spinners as spares. In the interim I'm using a wooden skewer as a tool of last resort to get the spinner moving.

Can't figure out how to remove the "foam" attachment to put in the "mix" attachment

I use soy milk for my coffee but each time I use this frother it makes far too much foam. It also seems the more milk i use the more foam and less milk i have for pouring. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Jan
Jan

Yes Allen, we had the same issue - it doesn't froth the milk but foams it & unfortunately we purchased a different machine. A shame really as the Sunbeam was "almost perfect"

We have this milk frother, has been great but all of a sudden stopped working. Have checked all the contacts and cleaned them, lights go on for one second then cuts out. Any tips on how to get this going again?

My Sunbeam frothier jug is leaking out the bottom where it spins. I see this is happening for someone else. I got it as a gift for Christmas 2020. Can I get this fixed. Very upset as it has been useful although I don’t use it a lot.

Hi. I love my milk frothier but for no reason apparent to me the electrical shave stopped working. No power is going through and lights not lit up. Any ideas?

Hi Angela, Have you tried using another power point? & & if this is working try the other disc & let me know if this works for you. Thanks

Angela Vaughan

I’ve tried a few different power points. It’s electrical because before there was a problem there was a light under the buttons when the machine was switched on

My jug leaks milk out of the bottom where the spinner part sits. It is still working but it is causing stains on the base and when I take the jug off the base after it has frothed it leaks in the saucer. Can this be fixed?

Please reply here as I don’t know where to find your message

Sunbeam

Hi Jennifer, If you check your emails you should be able to reply that way. The information I require from you is personal details which I don't want to share on an open forum page so unfortunately I cannot put those up here. If you machine is only 9months old it is still in warranty so you can take it back to where you purchased it from with your proof of purchase & they will be able to asssit you or you can reply me in a private message. Thanks

My Sunbeam EM0180 received as a gift Xmas 2020 has worked perfectly until 2 days ago, (30/06/21) when it now struggles to heat the milk? Everything is per norma, clean, good contact between jug and unit receptacle, only 80-100 ml of cold fresh cow's milk, frother disc spinning smoothly etc. It was taking just over 3 mins to heat and now is taking 7 - 8 mins? Any ideas?

Sunbeam
Sunbeam   DM

Hi RobD, Firstly can I get you to check the following: 1- Ensure the HOT Mix or HOT Foam button has been pressed. 2- Check the base of the milk jug is clean and without any surface damages before each use. 3- Automatic temperature control allows milk to heat to its ideal temperature for texturing milk, around 64°C with a few degrees leeway before milk burns (subject to the milk temperature before starting, volume and ambient temperature). Other than ensuring optimal milk preparation, it also allows you to enjoy your drink right away. And let me know if any of these solve your issue. Thanks

RobD
RobD

Hello, thank you for the advice. I did both items 1 & 2, I also checked the receptacle. I did find what appears to be a single very small metallic grit which I removed and since then all OK so am assuming it affected the jug/receptacle heating surface??

Again, thanks for your advice.

Rob
