I have the above Sunbeam Cafe series LC8900 food processor . The it comes on straight away plug in and soon as I click mount the bowl, Both Pause and Power light are ON , motor starts spinning , is this to do with PCB ? where Can i get anew PCB ?please help JG

Hi,
We have a Sunbeam LC8900 which has stopped working. There is no damage to either the bottom of the bowl where it connects into the body and there is no the lid. Is the engine or the switch? We have had it since new (don’t know how many years).

on the bottom of the bowl a piece of plastic broke off right where the bottom of the handle hooks into the bowl. My processor will not start, is this the reason?
Hi Lala, Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. You are correct . If the bowl is not secured in completely by all the plastic pieces being in tact, the unit will not function. This is a safety feature. Thanks for your reply. I got a new bowl from a local seller of small appliances and parts . It works!!!!!
Does the 1400w cafe series processor use a capacitor ?. She was using it and worked fine, put another batch in and nothing. It's about 8 years old never missed a beat, no bearing noise it just wont work. Locks are engaging !

Hi there, can anyone tell me if this sunbeam lc8900 have a fuse that can blow? I was using it and turned off and then went to pulse and there appeared to be some spark activity inside the switch and then nothing

Tonight I went to use my cafe series 8900 food processor, but it just would not start. It was working last time I used it. Why would this happen?

Please ensure you have the safety lock mechnisiam, connected right as this will refrain the motor from starting.
If you a certain you have the bowl and lid locked in right, please give us a call on 1300 881 861.
