Brought it home, unpacked it, won't power up – I live a long way from my nearest store - i bought my oven today, brought it home, unpacked it, plugged it in and it just won't power up. complete non-starter. So now i'll have to turn around and go back to the store - which means waiting till next weekend and making a two hour round trip just to exchange it - will the replacement also not start up when i get it home? So disappointed.  Show details

Sunbeam Pizza Bake and Grill BT5300P – We bought our Sunbeam Pizza Bake and Grill BT5300P five years ago and have been using it EVERY day. The top element finally stopped working yesterday, but such a great run from a product I could not live without, so now to go look for a replacement. Thank you Sunbeam!  Show details ·  1

Top element failure – We have had 2 of these ovens. They are convenient and easy to use, however both have failed after less than 2 years due to the top elements either warping or failing all together. Sunbeam Customer Service ( Clair and George) agreed to replace the one with the warped elements free of charge. With the new oven we are naturally treating it with care… Read more

and we have found that the temperature control can be turned down significantly from the recommended levels and still cook well. We believe that this will extend the life of the top elements. With the temperature set at 180 degrees on grill setting the oven becomes fiercely hot, and 150 degrees is adequate.

I love these little ovens! – I have two of these ovens, one for home and one for my caravan which we have travelled with all over the country. They bake cakes, scones, muffins etc on the road and great roasts particularly as we are only two. My one at home gets great use as well, beats turning on the big oven. I will gladly replace with the same again when either of these two… Read more ·  1

dies. I have had one for about 5yrs and the other about 3yrs, so great life in them. My only complaint is that they are hard to clean and washing as per instructions of warm water and detergent just doesn't do the job.

Good Little Oven – We've had this Sunbeam oven for a few years now, and it was faithful and handy to use. The controls are easy to use and well labeled. There are lights to indicate when it's heating, and a bell dings when the timer finishes. Unfortunately, the background service from Sunbeam let us down. We wanted an extra rack when we bought the oven, and the… Read more

factory outlet doesn't carry them, you have to go to one of their repairers and order one in. Makes a good impression huh. 3 years later, we're still waiting. I called again last week to try and order a rack, and had the same old story again. This poor service from Sunbeam lets the brand down because it's too much running around and in my opinion damages the brand. To that end, we have given the oven to friends and bought a new Breville. A simple phone call to Breville, additional rack order placed and delivered to my door. Take note Sunbeam. Good size, reliable, roomy, features. Only one rack, terrible Sunbeam service, internal walls are not non-stick.

Sunbeam Pizza And Grill Mini Oven – Worked well till top element went only just over one year use. Not worth repairing. Should last longer than this. Disappointed with this product and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. I wouldn't bother to rate this oven at all. Element blew

Buy The Extended Warranty And Get Free Grills For Life. :-) – We are on our 4th grill in about 5 years I believe, maybe 6. Here is the secret: Buy it at GOOD GUYS and always buy the extended warranty. The thing is going to bust. You use it for a year, get it all greasy and dirty and smelly. The warranty expires, you are into your extended warranty, you bring it in and tell them what is wrong. Now, this time… Read more

I did (for the first time) have to get a warranty return autho. code by calling some special number but so what? They were going to give me a $20 brand new oven.

The first 2 times -- maybe 3, I forget -- the timer broke. It would get almost to zero and then decide to go no further, and stuff got burnt. Then this last time, the dang element started drooping. It reminded me of a woman's pelvic floor sagging HA! But, it wasn't so funny when it tripped my house current, threatening a fire.

It's a lovely product for one year. We use it every single day because I cannot be trusted around the kitchen and I need a timer, else we all get cancer from the charcoal food I would otherwise serve. Don't get me wrong, I have burnt plenty in this oven as well :-).

Buy the product, get the extended warranty. Return it when it goes bad in 14 months of continuous use. (Take out the pans, and keep them at home) and tell them Sue Dietrich sent you. :-D :-D It's a lovely product when it works. Remove the built-in break-now date and you have a great product.

Great except they break so easily! NOT TRUSTWORTHY, you will have to replace after regular use – My experience is the same as most - benchtop grill toaster ovens including this one do a great job.....BUT, expect to have to replace your oven when top element burns out after a couple of years. This would probably last longer if you only used it as a 'backup' the grill/pizza toaster is so useful we used it every weekend which was obviously… Read more

just too much! Why are products made to last just longer than their warranty time frames!!!! And, I expect any appliance to endure a small family only using this at the weekend.

We have also bought a microwave/convection which does many of the same functions. But, it does not come near matching the pizza bake and grill for open tasted sarnies.

Bottom line - NOT TRUSTWORTHY, you will have to replace after regular use.

Hope this helps.

broken glass door – This is my fourth Sunbeam, Pizza bake & grill. The previous three gave great service but after a few years of service the elements failed. The last element kept tripping the RCD. The fourth oven the glass door shattered while preheating the oven. It is only 6 weeks old and had very little use.

Trustworthy and so handy! – I have had this oven for many years now, and it only just became non-functional, through no fault of its own. We had to leave it outside on our apartment balcony, and it was there for more than a year, with no problems and it still worked fine (all that protected it was a large plastic bag, and the breaking of the plastic bag coincided with the… Read more

breaking of the oven).

It has been great to use, and I can't think of any negatives. It's quite small, so it fits nicely in small areas. I also own one of those round convection ovens, and it trumps it, because the round oven can't fit certain items such as a square cake tin, plus it can't grill. Inexpensive, reliable

A great oven both for pizza's , grilling and roasting – We inherited from my elderly sister who purchased it in 2009. It has worked without any problems. Our only concern, on receiving from my sister, is it needed a good clean, both internally and externally which was not very successful. For two people it is excellent. Saves firing up a full size oven. We use it regurlarly and would highly recommend it. Ease of use. A bit dificult to keep clean

Great oven but doesn't last – This is a great oven. Easy to use and perfect for cooking for just me and my husband. I loved using it every day virtually, baking, roasting but mainly grilling. Bad news - I have had 2 of these and both blew an element at 15 months. I am now looking for an alternative brand. Quick and easy but versatile. Easy to clean Gone to the tip!! Both blew elements at 15 months

Good while it lasts – Great oven while it lasts. I've had mine for just over 2 years then dead. Seems as though one of the elements has blown so oven becomes landfill, not worth repairing. I do expect product of this nature to last more than a couple of years. I will get another oven but it won't be a sunbeam. Cooks well and convenient Throw away device, doesn't last the distance

They just don't last! – We've now had three of these in the space of 5 years. They cook well enough - very well in fact, which is why we use ours daily rather than the main oven. The problem is with the top heating elements. We mostly grill in ours, so high temperatures, with the meat/fish up close to the top elements. These elements have no protection against the… Read more

splash of oils, meat juices etc. After about a year the elements warp, then die. That's it! Oven's kaput! We're getting sick of forking out just over $100 for a new oven every 18 months or so, and as expected, the warranty is only 12 months

Sunbeam Pizza Bake & Grill – I've had this unit for six months. It is used for cooking and reheating small meals instead of using the large oven, which saves power. I use it almost every day and haven't had any problems with it so far. To have a more accurate temperature reading, I bought a small oven thermometer which I place inside the oven when cooking. I only wish it had… Read more

Fantastic! – Had it for years and use it almost every day. Couldn't live without it! Can cook/grill/toast/bake little things.... or a roast... or a big casserole... or a small tray of baking...or a cake.... Never use the full sized stove any more. Why waste power when this little beauty does the job. Efficient, versatile, convenient. Real power saver Absolutely no cons at all.

Excellent – I good unit - decent size and has great functionality. Good enough to make scones or cook the chips for dinner!! Great for cooking the chicken nuggets and chips for the kids dinner. Hard working little unit!! Good size, being able to cook/heat a 30cm pizza is great! Very efficient Nothing really ther than like all these ovens its looking about bit old after being used almost everyday for the last couple of years!!

Excellent – Brilliant little oven and we would definitely buy another if it died. Have used it daily for over a year. Cook roasts, chops, sausages, casseroles, scones, apple crumble, pizzas, pies, chips, fish and even cakes. Hint: best to heat the oven first when cooking scones/cakes and similar so you don't burn the top/bottom but that only takes a… Read more

couple of minutes. Love the timer. Holds a Corningware square roaster & once the bake is done just put it on the stove top for the gravy. Fantastic - everything about it is good. Had a different small oven which died so found this one. Much bigger inside but not much bigger on outside. Takes a whole pizza and I love the pizza tray with holes - no more soggy pizza bases. Hard to change the shelf height - doesn't slide easily but not a big issue. Just use a bit of muscle.

Excellent – I LOVE my Sunbeam Pizza bake & grill oven, I use it almost every day, and quite often instead of my big oven. I have a crawling baby, and I am always worried she will get to our proper oven and touch it, so I use this, as it sits up high on the kitchen bench out of her reach. I use this to cook pretty much everything, and I am not the best cook,… Read more

but my biscuits and scones always turn out perfectly using this oven, but never in my 'proper' oven. Not sure why that is? It also comes with a recipe book, which I use all the time, and the pizza dough recipe is perfect. Worth spending the little bit more than for a standard toastie oven, this is brilliant. Can cook anything in it, not just pizzas, like a normal oven! Not too expensive. Comes with a pizza tray and a baking tray.

Good – Good little unit for the price. Definitely worth the money, I tossed my toaster and just use this now as it's just as quick. Heats up quickly. Light in weight. Cheap. Comes with pizza pan. Fairly spacious without taking up bench space. Cheaply made, so quality of rack and components are pretty average. No light inside. Timer could be longer than 1 hour for long roasting periods.

OK – Compact, fantastic to use and light weight. Major fault once elements go unit is useless. They can't be replaced. So wrong !!!! My elderly parents purchased this product. welded in. Can't be replaced. Therefore unit can't be repaired and a new unit has to be bought. Pensioners can't afford this. Definately a throw away society. Angry customer.

Great little oven – I bought this oven a few months ago when our proper oven died as an interim measure before we installed a new kitchen. It only cost about $99 and it has been a great little oven for the money. I use it daily to feed a family of 5 and have cooked roasts, lasagne, pizzas, scones etc. Well priced, reliable, does a good job for baking and grilling.… Read more

This would be ideal for a single person but has also been great for our family. Only trouble I have had is cooking home made lasagne - hard to get a tray narrow enough to fit. It does fit suprmarket lasagne, though.

Almost perfect! – I had this little oven for about 4 years and use it everyday....fantastic value...cooks very well ...no different to big wall ovens...but more economical to run....and i can sit on top of bench without bending over like a slave...which I adore...and light enough so i can put away when not in use. 2 things they can improve are...should come with… Read more

Not good as a portable oven...dont bother taking it if you are travelling or camping/caravaning – I purchased this oven 18 months ago to take in our caravan when we travelled last year. Half way around Oz, it started to play up and the top element stayed on burning all of the food on top. Very disappointed with this oven. It used to make a nice pizza/cake/scones but doesn't work properly anymore. Was fine when it worked. Burnt all of the food because the top element would not go off.

Very Handy Quick to use – Very good for small quantities for two people. Handy to use in caravan. Wonderful for roast home or van, not to heavy to transport. Very easy to clean just a quick wipe. Can easily be stored in cupboard between uses. Grandchildren love to heat muffins or pizzer after school no need to have large oven going. engy efficient Worry about bracking door hing that has no support.

Can't live without it – My old Pizza Bake and Grill lasted for 3 years, I was using it just about every day, but then the top elements went. Excellent – I absolutely adore my little oven! It's fantastic to be able to bake muffins or a cake on a hot day and not to worry about heating up the whole kitchen, fries and chips come out super crispy and delicious, more than they ever have in the big oven, it's small so it's easy to clean. tray that came with the oven and prefer instead to use some of my own. The day this oven dies, I'll be heading in to replace it immediately with the same one. Heats up quickly.

Gets nice and hot, creating crispy chips/hash browns, roast veggies etc.

Has a timer so if you forget something is in the oven temporarily it will switch off so it doesn't burn.

Doesn't heat up the entire kitchen. None really other than it does take up bench space.

It only has one shelf, so you can only bake one small tray of muffins or cookies at a time.

Excellent – Wanted one of these for a while and was lucky enough to win one in a raffle at my local club.can't complain at that. The kids can use this with no dramas and makes great grilled cheese and tomato toasts. Good little oven. Saves using the main oven for smaller things.
