Don't bother with brands anymore. They are all made in China, and made to last one year. My iron stop heating suddenly, and was only over year old. Same happened to the previous one. I understand that if they make durable products, might go out of business, but common, one year? Where is the sustainability, when piling the global rubbish with their products? Show details
Worst iron I have ever used – This iron is brand new and I am very disappointed … The indent in the point of the plate grabs corners and wrinkles them. The steam either doesn’t work at all or is very weak and spits… the iron isn’t hot enough.. the plate doesn’t glide smoothly (cleaned it as instructed) I have had great sunbeam iron over the years but I will never buy sunbeam again…. Not a functional design – 1/ The indentation on the base plate at the point drags corner of garment back and creases it 2/ doesn’t get hot enough 3/ temperature dial is difficult to read 4/ water level hard to read. Don’t waste your money – This is the worst iron I have ever owned and I will be returning. The sole plate catches on all fabrics causing wrinkles. The user then has to dampen the fabric to try and get some sort of smooth finish and just press the iron but not move it to avoid catching. It is incredibly frustrating to use. Show details

Do not purchase – Totally useless. Catches on the edge of things and pulls the clothing up so it creases. Does not get hot enough and does not iron well- some times you can not tell you have ironed- just makes the clothing warm. - do not purchase. Show details

until it died back in January 2020.
Disappointed the product didn't even last the two year warranty period? Now I have to deal with going through the process to either have repaired or replaced. Meanwhile I do not have a back up iron.
My back up will NOT be a Sunbeam that's is one thing I know I will never purchase again!

Massive Disappointment - catches on seams and corners – Worst iron I have ever purchased. Paid $100 for it and the plate of the iron catches your clothes and wrinkles them. It doesnt glide it grabs the fabric and creates more creases. Very frustrated.!!! Cannot see the water level properly and Water leaked from the top even with a small amount of water in the iron. Disappointed – As per previous reviewer, other functions work well but the hollow on the sole plate catches on all edges so that I had to use the bottom part of the iron in reverse fashion. Ironing became very frustrating. Made a hasty purchase as it was half price on sale. I would not recommend this iron and unfortunately am going to buy a replacement. Show details

Catches on corners – Ironing functions and steam functions are fine and I like that it turns itself off, but... The hollow on the sole plate for ironing over buttons is terrible. Catches on corners of collars and irons in crumples which are very difficult to iron out again. I wouldn't buy one again. Show details

Superb – Have always used Sunbeam's, made the mistake of a Philips prior to this one but threw it out, this new Sunbeam is superb, light weight, long cord, super smooth and powerful, sits in the cradle very well and has some nifty features, decent value too - never skimp on small appliance quality!
