Very Unhappy – This is the WORST iron I have ever owned. My 16yo, who rarely irons, even proclaimed "this iron doesn't work"! Does 'auto off' mean it beeps every second for 4,5,6 hours until you get home and turn it off? Not once has it turned itself off. Never forgotten, only deliberately left on to see how long the 'auto off' function took to work, which was… Read more

NEVER. Probably explains why the 'auto off' badging on the handle rubbed off on my thumb in under half an hour of use. It came off like pen ink would. For about 2 weeks I have persistently tried to get a decent result out of this iron. I am absolutely unable to iron anything. The steam is non existant on any setting or temperature. The only time it 'steams' like it is gasping for air, is when you stand it upright to reheat. This iron is being returned. Maybe it is a faulty product but I won't be buying it again all the same.

What a difference – Thanks Sunbeam. We were very unhappy with the Sunbeam Alpha SR 6350 but Sunbeam took it back for a full refund and we bought the Verve Platinum instead which irons brilliantly and is so much easier to use. Show details ·  1

Sunbeam Iron – For the price we paid. It’s really good iron to have. Does the job like it’s expected to. Very easy and quick to heat up and easy to navigate through tight screens. Show details ·  1

Easy to Use – This is a good reliable iron. Nothing is particularly outstanding, but it does the job well. Pros: - Good control of temperature - I haven't scorched anything with it (yet) - Large water reservoir - Easy to clean - Strong shot of steam - Long power cord Cons: - The writing on the dial is way too small - The dial controlling the steam is not as intuitive as some other irons Show details ·  1

Brilliant iron – I purchased this to replace another Sunbeam Verve I had for 13 years. I tried a Tefal in between and returned it because they try to automate it too much. I iron my work gear every day and I cannot fault this product. Pros: - Super long cord that allows freedom when ironing (much longer than competitor brands) - Fast to heat and great steam -… Read more ·  1

good control over the steam when ironing - Simplistically gets wrinkles out quick without the need to spray water - does its job well - Has controls for no steam, low/med/high outputs - Good heat control - Feels good over clothes Auto turn off

Cons - RRP is high ($139) but I got it on sale at Myer for $69

Definitely recommend Sunbeam products over others. They are good old rock and provide a superior product in my view. Im really surprised by all of the low reviews here... I usually align with other reviewers but on this one I am giving 5 stars and two thumbs up.

Disappointed – Bought this iron to replace my old trusty Sunbeam. Almost from first day leaked and splashed water from the poorly designed water cap. Iron was returned several months after purchase and replaced with same model. Started out OK but now new one sprinkles water everwhere and now the auto steam doesn't work making business shirts look less than business. Won't go back for a 3rd bite. Show details

Faster ironing – This is an effective iron. It is faster then other irons I’ve had, even on over dry clothes. The iron holds a lot of water for steam ironing, but uses the steam really quickly so I find it needs regular refilling. You can adjust the temperature and the steam levels.  Show details ·  1

One Hot Iron – I’ve had this babe for over nine months and she has been amazing. The way she glides over you and makes you feel great is second to none. So if you have an Iron fetish, Verve 65 is your girl, I'm very happy with it's a great iron for the price. Has all the usual features - temp setting, steam and spray, but also has the beeping sound to tell you it's going to turn itself off soon!  Show details ·  1

Great steam, irons cotton business shirts really well – Fast heat up, great steam generation, removed all wrinkles with ease on cotton business shirts. Really a pleasure to use. I just returned a Braun iron TexStyle 7 because it shot steam out the front and burnt me and didn't iron properly. I have had several sunbeams which have been great. I only had to replace my last sunbeam because I dropped it.  Show details

Trips The Safety Switch – Thought it was just me. It's not an old iron. Trips the switch so often I have to buy a new iron. I love this iron - it works but I can't buy another one. I've bought more than one but they don't last. The tripping starts after the warranty runs out.
