When problems happens they vanish

We have a system installed last November. The WiFi dongle was hacked as anyone can enter the sytem.
There is no protection as it should be.
I did ask many times if there was a solution and never got answers.
Then I discovered that the dongle has a LAN port (RJ45 connector) and via Sungrow official PDF from USA I got some info.
How come they do not know their own product or they shield with subcontracted "help desks" that know nothing ?
Couldn't they escalate, are there any chain of efficiencies in getting info back to a customer who has put money and bought their product but they have PDF with the official company logo with the answers but they do not know they exist ?
What kind of joke is this ? Show details

Uninterrupted power in a blackout!

I purchased two Sungrow solar batteries in 2021 and since that time they have not missed a beat. I know this as I can track my solar usage and see how much (or how little) of the grid I use and how much credit I am accumulating sending excess electricity to the grid. There have been two local blackouts in that time and on both occasions I have not experienced any disruptions to my power, unlike my neighbours whose Telsa solar batteries are reliant on being connected to the grid and therefore do not work in blackouts. I definitely recommend Sungrow. Show details

Absolute piece of crap this sungrow inverters, i am a solar retailer and lately we have almost 30% sungrow inverters has nothing but issues, support from sungrow gets 0/10 as no one will answer your phone, We have tried reaching out wholesaler but could not get much help either. Sungrow will encourage you to open a chat and wait their forever and answer you get is we will look into it shortly.

Worst Product ever Manufactured

We had a 10.5kw system installed with 2 Sungrow inverters, of which one is a hybrid for charging the battery. We've had the system just over 2 years now and are on the 3rd set of dongles now. They failed again for the 3rd time 3 months ago and a warranty claim was submitted. 3 Months and still no answer. Without those dongles we can't Monitor the system or view any faults. We were quoted $600 to replace the 2 dongles and hardware the system after the last fail, so forget about a warranty as they now expect us to pay for something that should be covered under warranty. Very poor form from Sungrow and would not recommend. Show details

Let down by clueless support personnel

It took six months, three inverters and two batteries before finally a Sungrow technician was able to identify some issues with the configuration of the inverter. The system would go into standby mode for hours with no faults indicated. The system would also remain in standby mode for hours even after a fault had cleared. Once we found a technician who actually knew what they were doing the system seems to be working fine but totally dissatisfied with the six months of unnecessary heartache. Show details

Hybrid Inverter - off and on frequently

Arise Solar is the company to install a 13.16 KW Solar System. SunGrow is the supplier for a 10KW Hybrid inverter and a 19.2KW Battery. Without explanations we often have had blackouts. We tried not to use our clothes dryer, air fryer, electric kettle, dishwashing machine and microwave oven on the same time. But even using one of this it’s sometime gave us Blackouts. I have written to SunGrow and Arise Solar sometimes ago, but nothing has been done by them. It’s very annoying that we have unexplained blackouts after installing and paying over $22K for a solar system. So be aware of SunGrow hybrid inverter.

A good inverter let down by poor after sales service

We bought a 10kw inverter based on a positive recommendation by our installer and what appeared to be good reviews at that time. The inverter seems to be working ok, but we keep getting the same fault report. According to the installer they are having problems upgrading their firmware but it's been going on for weeks. As the reviews here show - there is zero after sales service. Maybe they can't keep up with demand or they can't be bothered. Either way, we would've bought a different inverter if we'd known fixing faults would be this difficult. Show details

Avoid! - Absolutely no customer service

- At the time of writing, their Google review is somehow 4.6 stars with 2,500 reviews.
- No one answers their 1800 number... Calls go straight to voicemail.
- Voicemail tells to leave a message... When I tried to, it said "message bank is full".

I am now talking to Origin energy to rectify this. Show details

Very difficult to connect and poor support

Bought the eShow Wi-Fi product, has very poor directions to install or troubleshoot.
Contacted support & got silly unhelpful response, with primary questions not answered!
This Wi-Fi model seems to lose Wi-Fi connection easily.

wish it actually worked

The sungrow inverter and battery system just doesnt consistently respond to its programming I dont know if this is a conflict with using the amber app. but neither of the applications will actually function to control the battery and this is on going for more than 3 months. If I had my time again I would not waste 20k on a sungrow battery and inverter system. I also wouldnt use arkana energy. Show details

Absolutely no aftermarket service

We have had solar installed for a while now - definitely under one year ago. Hubby has made several phone calls to get the sales consultant to come to our house as we need a few things sorted out. We are given a day and he fails to show up. This is very frustrating and not good at all. The sales consultant is quick to come and sell you their product but fails to help once they have got your money. Show details

this is a let down for a sungrow 5 klw inverter and no service by sungrow

i have a 2 year old sungrow inverter that was faulty sungrow was forced to provid another one to replace it i had to get solar service guys to remove the old one and put the new one in i had to pay 300,00 to get it fitted sungrow said i would get it back by the 20th december now they say january 2023 i am out of pocket $300.00 plus $400, feed in to grid they dont care there staff are rude they said they would get in touch with me but did not i would say dont buy sungrow Show details

all i seek is the $300.00 back in 2022 not 2023 and compo for lost feed in taff they keep moving the gold posts they have had my money tied up since the 9/12/2022 there agent is a pretsal rude and dose not care about hard ship
