Sunmate Solar

I applied for solar with Sunmate at the end of december, now three months later, after chasing them a lot they tell me they can't give me solar. Now I am chasing my deposit back. aaaahhhhhhhh, I rang up so many times, so very unhelpful.

I had a great experience with Sunmate! The process was incredibly fast, and I got a great deal. Justin sarah did an excellent job explaining everything clearly. Installation was completed within two days, and I’m very happy with the service Sunmate providedsunmate

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – Do not trust this company. Accounts Manager is terrible. We organised to have our existing solar removed and upgrade to a larger system. He assured us the there were a team local to our area quoted us $200 to remove. But instead he sends outside contractors then expects us to pay the $300 cash on the day and then emails and says we need to pay… Read more

additional $200 via direct deposit to the contractor and have it removed from final invoice. Then on install day another lot of outside contractors turn up removed my inverter, put new one on, then magically within hours tell me they need a qualified roofer to do the job and they would be back. Only to find they had taken new inverter back off, taken my working inverter and left me with a mess. Accounts Manager then cancels our contract the next day! When we made a formal complaint with proof of over 90 emails between ourselves and Accounts Manager, he replies with nothing but lies. The company will not investigate him and will not escalate our complaint. We are now off to QBCC and the police to lodge complaints and report a stolen solar system. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

SunMate 2.0 :Totally Recommended – I've had my SunMate 2.0 Solar Diverter Installed now for over 3 years. HWS is using only the thermostatic, though both HWS units are "cranked up" to 60Deg C to optimise my energy storage. This is not an issue for "scalding" as both tanks are fitted with tempering valves. On a cloud free day, both HWS units are fully heated by midday through the summer months and by about 1:30pm through the winter, and in that time I've never had to use a boost function, - never having run out of hot water, and I've not paid a cent to my energy retailer for hot water in that time. My Sunmate 2.0 has paid for itself several times over already. The installation was very straight forward, as (fortunately) I had the "space" in my Consumer Mains board, and I had my SunMate configured to just the "basics", - leaving the scheduled boost and Legionella "turbo boost" functions off to see how it would perform on "Solar Harvest Only". It has been absolutely brilliant, and I've not needed to change any of the settings. I've never had any issue at all. It was easy to configure, and easy to analyse the built in LCD screen details. I love the fact that it tells me how much power I'm "diverting", and how much I'm "exporting".

Good service – I started the process through Nick and he was very accomodating with locking in the price with rebates and allowing me to save money over a couple of months before installation. scammers, stay away – Scammers, they take deposit amount and after months of follow won't return the money, very pushy sales person and shady business.. stay away

Avoid at all costs. Sunmate solar cant be trusted! – Ordered a system with very specific requirements. Paid a deposit, Sunmate then told me they could not provide the equipment I signed for in the contract. The contract states a refund will be issued in such event (Clause 4.1(d)), so I went to another provider and told Sunmate not to proceed and issue a refund. the equipment I originally signed for and refuse to hand back the deposit, this only occurred when I told them I would not like to proceed. Additionally the company claimed to have an office in my city. Turns out the office is virtual, there is no office for support in Adelaide.
