Used these guys to install a Solar Inventer. An independent electrician check it out and advised it was wired incorrectly. Sunshine Solar refused 100% to accept they made an error and were quite abusive in some of their emails. Hence wouldn't recommend.
Everyone at Sunshine State Solar were excellent, from Kristy, Gina and the team that installed the system. Nothing was too hard for them, would recommend their service to everyone.

The installation team were outstanding — polite, respectful, and clearly proud of their work. The install itself went smoothly, and when there was a minor hiccup on the day, it was resolved quickly and professionally. Everything has been running perfectly since.
I was also really impressed with the quality of the finish, including the safety rails used — a thoughtful touch that looks far better than the yellow bollards solutions you often see elsewhere.
Overall, a great experience and a quality outcome. I’ve already referred Sunshine State Solar to friends and contacts and would happily recommend them to anyone considering solar or battery storage.

Everyone from Soph in the sales team to Joel on the installation team are absolutely brilliant. Gina in scheduling worked her magic and got the booking inline with when someone was home. his sales skills—kind, patient, and always willing to give me a call back, even when I was being the most difficult customer! After multiple rounds of negotiation, we finally landed on the right price and signed the contract.
From there, Gina, the scheduling specialist, took over and ensured the implementation process went off without a hitch. Her communication was seamless, both during installation and in the post-installation phase. On the big day, the team completed the installation of a 13kW system and relocated my ancient meter—all in about half a day! The electrician, Callum, went above and beyond by installing a hot water meter at no additional cost, saving me the $200 others had quoted.
While a few roof tiles broke during the installation (something the team had warned me about beforehand), I had spare tiles handy, so this was quickly resolved.
Now, here’s where their true excellence shone through: The very next day, after a major storm, I discovered a couple of large patches on my ceiling. I emailed Gina early Sunday morning, and despite it being a weekend, she responded immediately. By Monday morning, a team was on-site to replace the missed tiles and ensure everything was secure—just in time before another hailstorm hit that night! Gina even went the extra mile and arranged for a painter to fix the water-stained ceiling caused by the leak (attached image).
Things don’t always go perfectly, as much as we’d like them to, but what truly matters is having a team that’s committed to delivering—even when unexpected challenges arise. Sunshine State Solar proved they’re not just about selling a system; they’re about taking care of their customers, no matter what.

Other company provided this service, I mentioned it to Christian and he promised that pool heater will be removed from roof but not from my property, not a problem . First call we received from installer was about them not removing hot water heater. We also installed Fronius smart meter. Absolutely no instructions were provided or handed to us, just a pamphlet (not on English) which only generates app install page, without any explanation on how to properly fill in all details needed for system to be seen on app. I have spent many hours learning how to do this myself. What use is a smart meter if I can not see its data? overall mixed feelings about Sunshinestate Solar, did not deliver on promise, feels like it was made just to get the sale.

which, when you had a look at the cost breakdown, was just added to the original cost and taken off further down the list. So dodgy. I was also so happy that Sunshine State Solar was a local Gold Coast located company who actually used their own qualified electricians, not like the other companies who use subbies. Was very happy to support local business, and even better that their prices were comparable to all other quotes that I received from the "bigger" companies. I was also so impressed with the communication and workmanship of the team on the day of installation. Jimmy was always in communication with me from the start of the day, letting me know when they expected to be at my house, and constantly updating me on how they were progressing with the install. When the panels and inverter was installed he took the time to set up the app and make sure I understood all of the readings in the app. They also left my house spotless. Couldn't recommend Sunshine State Solar any higher. And just an update, I received my first monthly bill. With the electricity price rises, my monthly bill would definitely have been over $300 without solar, after getting the solar installed, the first monthly bill was $17!

refund, the company's Director or representative became unprofessional and rude. We tried to resolve the situation calmly and fairly but was met with false claims and accusations from the company that we had misled them, intentionally wasted their time, were aware of the state of our roof, and were negligent. They made false accusations and attempted to withhold more money than what was stated in the contract. They also showed a lack of concern for industry regulators such as ASIC, ACCC, and Fair Trade Qld. We would not recommend this company if you wanted support in the event something goes wrong. The salesperson is an asset to any company, but is wasted in this one.

trying to steal electricity. I had contacted my electricity supplier to confirm I was not engaging in theft. The electrician/ installer informed us he could not get the inverter to function and link with the internet, he left without completing the last 2 steps of the installation. Apparently this was the third time in a week this had occurred. On my complaint and refusal to pay until the inverter and system was functioning, the Director informed me in writing to complain to the manufacturer of the system that it was not working. Only after refusing to pay the balance did the Director agree for her electrician to again attend the home to complete the installation . It was after I contacted the technical assistance of the manufacturer was I informed the last 2 steps of the installation was not completed despite the director providing photographs that she said proved the installation was complete. A week later after numerous unprofessional communications from the company was the system fit for purpose by the electrician undertaking the last two steps of the installation including the inverter being tested via the internet was completed, rather than fixing the issue immediately the company preferred to demand payment. In accordance with Qld legislation I paid the account in full once the contract was completed.

damage. But to my surprise, the insurance assessors discovered that some screws had been left in the gutter — the Sunshine State Solar install team had failed to reattach them. This was clearly a result of poor workmanship.
I contacted the company multiple times via email, requesting they reimburse the insurance excess fee, but they refused. I find this absolutely unacceptable.
Installation is only part of the job — providing proper support and taking responsibility for faults is just as important. Their response was unprofessional, and the quality of the installation was poor.
