Agreed to a solar plan installation October 2025 and it is May 2026 and they have dodged calls and emails about following through with the service. They do not respond to any emails and when calling them they do not answer the phone. Trying to get a deposit refund and they are uncontactable since deposit was made. I would not recommend this business and feels very much like a scam, I'm located in Brisbane.

Was again promised it would be completed by xmas and here i am today mid Feb with no solar system and a company that is impossible to contact. They have now ghosted me annd dont answer their phones and wont reply to any emails sent and several email addresses are postmaster undeliverable. Oliver the Salesman was good but the after months of getting large power bills, even though we have a battery, SOLAX the inverter people diagnosed that it wasn't wired up correctly. From SolaX... On a SolaX Power system, this is almost always one of two things:

1️⃣ CT clamp installed backwards 2️⃣ Meter configuration incorrect (polarity / topology setting)

The CT clamp is what tells the inverter: “The house is using 2kW right now.” If that signal is reversed, the inverter thinks: Right now it’s doing this:

☀ Solar → Battery ☀ Solar → Grid House → Grid

Instead of the correct order:

☀ Solar → House first Excess → Battery Excess → Grid

Bunch of theifs. Promise the world and deliver NOTHING. Hasseled with a barage of phone calls to place deposit and sign contract. reduction on January 1st of $350. I'm sorry but thats not my issue - thats your issue. Called them no less than 50 times over the past 5 months and each time took 5-10 calls before i could speak to anyone as they ghosted my number. Everytime i spoke to someone i was asked for 4 more days to organise my install and promised a call with instal date details and nothing. Ghosted again. Repeat again. 5-10 calls before i get through to someone, asked for 4 more days and promised a call back and nothing. Dont waste your time with this company. Find a reputable company. These guys are shonks.

We contacted Sun Solar Energy in September 2025 and paid a deposit after being told installation would occur within 6 weeks. installation would happen in November, then December, then “before Christmas.” One week before Christmas they cancelled, saying they could not install the agreed package and would refund our deposit. Four weeks later, we still had not received the deposit refund.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company.

Today I rang SunSolar in regards to update the firmware. Hence, Kelvin did apply the update accordingly and professionally. I am extremely satisfied and pleased with his performance and excellent customer service. He is a very high skill and dedicated person.

story why it’s not working. Each and every person I speak with is an Oliver, a Jerry, a Finn, an Edward… and the list goes on, although they have very heavy Indian accents, which at times I cannot even understand. Once I asked “Oliver” how come that all their names are sort of “different “. I was careful being politically correct. The guy laughed and told me, quote “ we use pseudonyms as it’s easier for the Australians”. If this is ethically correct in conducting business, is another story. I’m still waiting for my savings from the sun, although the sun is shining.

Expensive quote so I didn't go ahead, now they decide to spam me every now and then despite my protest for the spam emails to stop. Would not recommend, plenty other affordable options with better service. Show details

I recently installed a solar system through SunSolar team. The team, particularly Brendon and Calvin, is great to work with, they provided all information clearly and in detail. They also helped in submitting application to receive state rebate for Solar installation. Thank you also to Jerry, for following up on the installation processes.
