involving multiple destinations and associated time constraints with other businesses closing hours. On the way I had the dead battery checked with a mechanic in Gloucester with a load testing device who correctly diagnosed that the battery was only able to produce 150 cold cranking amps instead of the 800 it is rated at.

After much stress successfully reorganising our schedule (and other people) we finally arrived at Autobahn Heatherbrae around 4pm to return the battery, thinking it would be a quick process. This turned out not to be the case at all. Luckily I checked on Productreview and found that I was not alone. One particular complaint came from a gentleman with the same store and problem, and the lengths he had to go to simply to exercise his statutory consumer right of exchange of faulty item.

First, I was told that the battery seemed to test faulty, but needed to be taken out the back and put on charge for “awhile”. I advised that the battery had already failed a load test that morning, but this was met with a dismissive shrug. So, during the FIRST 30 minute wait, I showed the Autobahn employee the productreview complaint that was identical to mine. Same battery. Same store. I was advised that Autobahn dont have a load testing device and putting it on charge was the only way they had to test. Its a $200 diagnostic tool. For goodness sake. Inexcusable that a battery retailer cannot accurately diagnose a faulty battery in less than a minute. Thats all it takes!

And so, another 30 minutes pass before I am finally given an exchange battery. They never told me the entire process would take an hour! I advised that I had no faith in Supercharge batteries, and wanted to change brands. I was prepared to pay a premium for this. This request was denied.

If this new battery fails, I will be expecting a full refund.

1. Autobahn simply MUST have a load testing device, if they want to sell batteries.

2. Supercharge batteries have a dreadful failure rate, according to this website.

3. Supercharge does not monitor productreview, which indicates that they have no interest in their customers degree of satisfaction with their products. This in itself is quite telling.

Would I buy another Supercharge battery again? Not a chance.

I bought an MF95D31L battery (850CCA Goldpluss) with 40 months warranty on 26th April 2025 for a diesel Toyota Land Cruiser. back to Autobahn on the 19th May 2026, (13 months old). They charged it for two hours, then immediately tested battery using a hand held electronic battery tester. Even though it only gave 61% of the rated capacity they said it passed. WARRANTY DENIED.

The next day I took it to the Supercharge distributor for the the Hunter Valley. They tested it with a hand held electronic battery tester. Once again I was told the battery was good. Warrant Denied. After 10 minutes of discussion, the manager came over and told the technician to load test it with a professional battery tester. Under actual current draw of half the rated capacity the battery failed. I was given a replacement under warranty. So they eventually honoured the warranty. But it took alot of persistence to get there.

Bought a new supercharge battery, and I payed the price!! Stuck on the side of the road for over an hour waiting for racq, was told it had 150cca for 550cca battery, its was 10 months old an under warranty, managed to get a refund, but stuck in a car for over a hour in 35 degree heat , saving a couple of bucks was not worth it, stay away from super charge batteries

I have a supercharge gold, it was put in in 2022. This thing has survived a dead alternator that nearly took it to dead cell as i had to drive it 10 mins home, its jumped an 04 Rodeo and a 2016 Tiguan, and I just got into my car and found I left the interior light on all night. Battery still had enough voltage to start it and get the alternator going. I'll probably never buy another brand this mf should've died ages ago

Good so far had 3 – Used in boat in pen so have long periods of no use. Manage charging occasionally with 9 stage charger. Got 2.5 years of 3 in the warranty, no issues replacing it. Point being I have had many brands fail at around 2. So having the warranty honoured was great. I recommend them, sorry to see bad reports. Not my experience to date. The store is located in Perth, staff are fine.

Good for the money – Iv'e had a few supercharge batteries, The only one to fail early was a "farm King" 1000amp model purchased from Paramount Browns in Adelaide {$189} which failed after 11 months, They replaced it with another one immediately[I live in the country so difficult to get back there after testing], excellent service. I now have two Fam Kings and a couple of smaller models which are all performing well.

10 months with a deep cycle battery then it failed. Took back to Autobarn and after a week was told my fault as it had lost its water. Was told it was a maintenance free battery. maintenance free. Supercharge as obviously the battery not up to scratch. Seems that yhe customer is never according to both of them.

I have tried multiple Supercharge Gladiator and Goldplus batteries in multiple vehicles. I thought paying the extra money would get me a better product but none of them have lasted longer than 18 months. My auto parts dealer makes it near on impossible to claim a new telling me I can't claim without original receipt or that the battery is fine (even when it fails to hold charge). Don't waste your money on these like I have.

smell and I went to my local AutoOne store to test the battery. They insisted the battery was fine and blamed the alternator instead. However, the very next day, my car wouldn’t start at all.

Believing their assessment, I assumed it was an electrical issue and called RAC for roadside assistance. The RAC technician quickly identified the real issue — the battery had failed. They replaced it on the spot, and the car has worked perfectly since. Furthermore, the RAC technician advised that the alternator voltage readings that AutoOne had noted has being abnormal were perfectly normal.

To make matters worse, I was later contacted by a SuperCharge representative who, after boasting about the quality of SuperCharge batteries, and going on and on about the high competency of AutoOne staff, said AutoOne would reach out to offer a free replacement battery. That never happened. No follow-up, no compensation — nothing.

Overall, this was a frustrating experience with both the product and customer service. I cannot recommend SuperCharge batteries or AutoOne based on this encounter. Very poor reliability and support.

I purchased a 650 CCA battery & found it doesn't have the balls to crank over a 351 cleveland, so i then returned it & was given a bigger 850 CCA & still have the same problem..they are an absolute rubbish battery..

tested said battery is bad and need replacing. I said it is still under warranty but I did not have the purchased receipt with me and they wanted me to come with receipt. The very next day I went to the shop and presented my receipt. Now the story got changed-"Low voltage means nothing and battery may still be good-We need your battery for two days to charge and retest".I told them that I can not drop off my battery as I can not use my car without a battery. Their response was like "not our problem". I went to SCA and they tested the battery , and said battery maybe bad but better to charge 24 hrs and retest-SCA offered me to charge FOC and give me the result next day. I told them I would bring the battery next week. SCA recharge and retest and told me battery is bad and need replacing. I went again (3rd time to Autobarn, told them the story. They still did not want to offer replacement happily. But after about 30mins of talking they finally offered me a replacement battery. My point is even tough they offer 40/50 months warranty, their intention is not to honor that warranty. I spent 3 or 4 days back and forth trips to AB to get my warranty. They do not like offer loan battery and not very happy to honor the warranty. To be honest I spent more monetary time than the battery value to get my warranty. Not really happy experience.

We have had two Supercharge Batteries in our three Commodores, and they were all rubbish. The one that is currently in our VX Commodore is a couple years old, it barely starts the car, and now the indicator is beginning to show red. Even after the car has been driven, the battery is not holding a good charge. Will be using ACDelco batteries from now on. Typical Philippines rubbish!

Battery less than 12 months old. Returned to autopro where it was purchased. New owners saying need to wait for rep to test . Took elsewhere def issues. Guy at store not interested. Won't be wasting my money on another supercharge battery or returning to the store for other purchases. They are happy to take your money but not interested when something goes wrong. What's one supposed to do while waiting for a rep to turn up to test it.......

Called back a week later, guy from autobarn supposedly sent old matey from supercharge a text to get back to me. Never got back to me.

Left it another week cause you know it's stupid doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Had forgotten about it by week 4 and decided to give autobarn a call back today. "oh did someone not leave you a message on your answering machine" checked after the call nothing there. "The rep from supercharge left it here charged up and its discharged itself" "it's not being warrantied because its discharged".

I say to the guy from autobarn verbatim: "So you're telling me it's not getting warrantied because it's not working" "wow I'm never buying that brand again". All he could say is "yes".

Anyway I'm lucky because I had a spare battery in the house I've mcguyvered to work with my larger terminal clamps which is doing the trick now. But imagine If i was one of your younger relatives or a family member that was struggling to get by, and I couldn't afford to be off the road for a month with [Content Removed] time wasting from autobarn and repco, what if i was a single mum and instead of buying my kids food I had to buy a new battery because my supercharge one wont hold charge under warranty and that is supposedly non warrantyable and they held it for a month to tell me that.

It's been poor performance by both autobarn (don't even stock high end speakers, what's the shop good for?) and supercharge (ramcar usa brand trash). Just another kingcrome [Content Removed] bodgy seller trying to pretend they're an Australian favourite while [Content Removed] us over with warranty dodging.

Inferior battery and terrible customer service – I have had numerous failures of Supercharge batteries. All failed in under 2 years and warranty always denied. Numerous times I was left stranded. Numerous companies have stopped selling these inferior batteries. DO NOT BUY.

car for a long trip in 2 days so I'm ignoring the 40 month warranty and dumping the battery & warranty . Replacement will be an RACV battery- the previous Statesman battery was from the RACV and it lasted over 7 years.

you have multiple cars or live and work next door to them , you need to buy another battery to claim the warranty and work at the same time.. I would have think in the 21 st century they can test the battery on the spot. Basically the warranty is useless.

Used to be great battery not anymore – Found out Pre 2017 these batteries were not made in Thailand/china. Bit of a screw around and supercharge rep agreed it was screwed so got new one. This one lasted 8 months ....got that swapped out Aswell after they wanted to charge it etc and said nup it's stuffed.

Then it lasted 4 months so gave up got a century and haven't had any issues since.

I haven't heard anything good about these batteries lately. I know a guy who owns a battery place and he used to be a seller for them but will not touch these anymore.

Total piece of rubbish – bought 5/23 a supercharge 810cca, 36 mth warranty, within 4 month it dropped a cell and red indicator showing, my smart charger goes when hooked up into fault mode so this battery is stuffed. test, refuse to honour the warranty or take it to their test centre, put the so-called charged good battery in car at their place and didn't even turn over, still not admitting that battery is faulty, I end with with a almost 4 mth old battery, wasted $255 Warranty is not worth the paper it's written on, super charge company is lower then low, just a bunch of ignorant money hungry thief's, crooks. Rubbish battery – Purchased a Super Charge battery Din 66 $239 40 month wsrranty. Wouldnt hold charge in 1st week. Told discharge light was faulty, hence green never showed.. Went flat regularly then totally failed Evem cheap batteried last for years DO NOT BUY THIS RUBBISH BATTERY.

Complete rubbish and dishonorable company – This company never honors warranties, the 40 month warranty period is a sales gimmick only, the gold plus battery is the most appalling piece of rubbish I ever had the misfortune of owning. talk to a Supercharge Rep but they knew what he would tell me. I was told that this battery would need to be kept on a trickle charger to stop it going flat. I then emailed Supercharge to find out if this was in fact correct as it would have a bearing as to whether I bought another Supercharge battery next time. I got a response within a few hours asking me where I used the battery and I have never gotten a response even after 2 more attempts to contact them.

Doing my homework to buy ! say they are great but they must remove some as it says like 20 reviews but only can see 10 .. just spent couple of hours working out which ones I will go and see tomorrow at Autobarn clayton but with reviews on here I will be staying clear of them.. obviously they used to be ok but looks like company has died and do not honour their warranties .. would rather pay extra 40 or 50 and buy one from Bunnings atleast they will honour warranty I'm 99% sure of .. Nothing wrong with my alternator. My multimeter read 14.3V on the Repco/Centruy batteries terminals. Whilst my car was running.

SUPERCHARGE used to be good. Not anymore. Such A Dismal Dismal car battery

From now on. I will be buying the better quality car batteries, that are sent to the folks of the UNITED STATES.

DO NOT BUY IT WILL FAIL AND WARRANTY NOT WORTH THE PAPER ITS PRINTED ON – Spent 500 dollars on my supercharge stop start battery 14months ago it came with a 3 year warranty. Its now failed the guys who fitted it are 100 kms away and for me to claim on the warranty I have to take it back to them then they have to send it back to supercharge for testing if it fails testing they will give me a new battery. This warranty is not worth the paper it is written on DONT BUY ONE OF THESE BATTERIES A ABSOLUTE SHAM OF A COMPANY.
