Beware of warranty limitations – I have now owned three Swifts - 2015, 2019 and 2022 models. Basically, we have teen-agers and have bought and then 'sold' them to the girls as safe-ish first cars. However, the most recent purchase (2022) has had significant issues with the paint job. We still have the 2019 car (2015 was written off in a hailstorm) and this car is in great nick.… Read more
Within a few months of purchase the 2022 car had SIGNIFICANT damage to the paintwork on the bonnet and front side panels. This is way beyond what you would expect for a lightly driven, new car. The dealer's response? Disinterest and 'not covered by warranty'. I'm flabbergasted! I find the Swift great to drive, but this is so disappointing, as the paint job is crucial to the car's longevity. Long and short of it is we will get bonnet resprayed and ceramic coating applied before selling car to daughter #2, but for daughter 3 and for future cars we will not consider Suzuki's or affiliated brands. Disappointing.
New swift had major oil leaks at only 2300 kms! – At only “2300kms” our Suzuki Swift Navi Plus had an engine sump oil leak (very surprised to find oil all over the garage floor) Took it in to the Suzuki service centre and told not to drive it. As soon as it could be booked in it was taken to the Suzuki service centre to fix the engine sump oil leak, I was told while they were fixing that problem… Read more
they found another one. A seperate oil leak was found coming from the timing cover. The car ending up staying even longer to be fixed, almost 4 weeks without a car in total from not being able to drive it to getting it repaired. Very disappointing that a car with only 2300 kms on it has these major issues, it makes me wish we didn’t purchase this vehicle as I feel I don’t know what is going to go wrong with it next! I thought that by purchasing a brand new vehicle we would of had a reliable car we could depend on, it has been the very opposite. Disappointing that Nundah Suzuki where it was purchased from, didn’t want to talk to me about the lemon car they sold me!
Underpowered rental car – Rented this car out at Apex car rentals Cairns and look if its the last car on the lot well so be it. I rather a bigger car for the Suzuki Swift felt underpowered esp going along the Bruce highway and Captain Cook Highway i had my foot down on the Accelerator and we weren't going anywhere 66kw is not really going to cut it but once the car is on… Read more
the highway theres cruise hold and a speed limiting function . I took it up the range towards Kuranda and i had to change gears to L the was two people in the car there is also a S mode on the gear shifter Sports mode perhaps? The CVT transmission of 0 gears yeah its up to the buyer the S mode It made going up the mountain easier i guess. Going down the Range its very nimble but hey what car isnt nimble going down a steep range the Swift it hugged the corners. Petrol wise it goes well economically but i question the computer fuel monitor i had to fill $2 worth of petrol because that bar wasnt showing full for the rental car company returns procedure. Technology wise it had Google Auto and Apple carplay function that was finicky and its operation was connected to the drive shifter, i had more trouble then ever trying to work both Android and Apple to the car unlike other cars radio systems this system refuse to accept connections until the drive shifter was shifted from one to a other i forget how it works, but the touch screen and sound and fm radio was ok basic sound, the Rear parking camera from the bumper was another feature . Anyway the inside of the car was ok a little small basic everything no auto head lights that annoyed me at night, front seat driver support basic for a entry model. Some cup holders, the car remote key for a 2019 car looked 2000 ish. The boot area can fit one large luggage bag and one cabin sized bag both bags must be on their sides, rear seats space well more for the kids. Finally parking the little thing was simple with the rear camera be aware any raised parking areas for this underpowered car in reverse parking mode theres just not enough 66kw you be struggling. My honest opinion this car the Swift looks like any other compact car if the badge wasn't there it could have any brand placed on the car the looks were pretty generic.
Almost brilliant – I love the handling and fuel economy of this car (light weight helping both of those factors). It has lots of great options and is very smooth at any speed, relaxing to drive etc. The only thing that lets it down is the cheap interior build quality - edges are sharp, surfaces hard but worst of all there are squeaks and vibrations from the dash and… Read more
door trim which is a real shame. If they had added just a small bit to weight of the vehicle and made the interior more solid and better fitting it would have rivalled a lot of small European cars.
Exceptional – Bought new in January 2020 fuel efficient excellent performance from.a tiny 1.2 liter dual jet engine. Highly recommended car for a small price of $18990 drive away. Only problem.the boot is a little too small Show details
Perfect small car – I use my swift for grocery shopping, dropping and pick up kids. Short commutes. Very handy and powerful car. Good room inside. Very good door design. Mileage is excellent. Its a all rounder. Show details
Amazing Little Car – This is my second Suzuki Swift and it is amazing. I never have any issues with it, fuel saver and it may look small but I can fit so much in this car! I bought it new so I have 5 years capped servicing and the Suzuki dealership I deal with it amazing, helpful and timely. If you want a cheap, affordable and reliable car, this is it! Show details
Swift, light, safe and fuel efficient – This car has alot of character being very light on its feet to drive and only around 900kgs. You can appreciate the economy and zippy nature with such a light car compared to other small and mid size cars. The real world economy is 5.9-6.1 litres per 100kms. Added to the attraction is all the safety features, adaptive cruise control is good for… Read more
school zones. If you like technology then apple car play is all you need too. Lastly I think this car looks very funky and cool, not a box or normal hatch shape. I preferred the CVT because it is smooth. So far extremely satisfied. Definitely not a boring car.
A cute one – Bought suzuki Swift GL Navigator recently. Went with this car after comparing pros and cons of similar size cars. We bought this car as an addition to our SUV, for mostly local trip when going alone. We now like swift more than SUV that we may go for next vacation in Swift. It is really smooth, great engine, lot of inbuilt features, sat… Read more

Nifty little car for the city – Gotten a Swift earlier in June this year after narrowing it down to a few choices. Like the car for its fuel consumption and good handling on the road. It won't win one any race however it is more than competent for city-style driving. Interior wise it looks pretty modern with a touch screen, however I was a bit disappointed there weren't… Read more
switches for folding in of the side windows. Having said that I am happy with my purchase generally speaking, even convinced a friend to purchase a swift too later this month.
Love my Swift – The Swift is a compact car to park and navigate, yet fits loads inside so is great for my needs. It is fuel efficient and comfortable to drive. My previous car was also a Swift, and I only wanted to look at Swifts to replace it. Love the new shape and the deep metallic colour. Show details
Great little car – This is my 5th Suzuki Swift! I've been sold since the 1992 model. They've all been great reliable cars. The 2018 model is lacking a little bit of grunt after being downgraded from a 1.4L to a 1.2L, but it's still a great small car. Only complaint I have is that only the top model (they now have 4 in the range, plus the sports) comes with a… Read more
temperature gauge. We got the second model up, and it has cruise control, reverse parking cameras... but I can't tell what the outside temp is, which is quite frankly weird. Considering how cheap they are to include in manufacturing, I'm honestly surprised you didn't include it. Also, the interface for your carplay needs some love. Way too basic.
