What a rip off merchant – Requested change of jockey wheel and a light bulb change. They tried to add on a service and brake check but I kept saying that I didn’t want that. Pulled my camper trailer around with his forklift whilst leaving the handbrake on could have damaged the braking system. Stole my galvanised U bolts from the jockey wheel that I brought in and told… Read more

me they couldn’t find them. And then had the audacity to charge me galvanised U bolts on my invoice but fobbed me off with zinc alume ones!! The ladies in the office thought this was funny to rip off their customers and making a mockery of them. She even put the phone down on me when I was explaining that I didn’t want zinc alume ones because she said she was busy!! Requested galvanised U bolts to be replaced as stated on the invoice and they all told me they don’t have any! But completely lied as they had packets of the same size as the zinc alume ones on the shelf! The guy threw me a packet of oversized galvanised U bolts and told me to keep that as a souvenir as he wanted to get home! What an attitude and disgusting service!! They didn’t replace my jockey wheel with the correct U bolts and could have cut the longer U bolts to fit the jockey wheel. Charged me 1.5 hours work to fit a jockey wheel for no more than a 30 minute job. Terrible cut out of the plate, jagged and sharp poorly cut yet they wouldn’t cut the U bolts because they said it would be sharp metal lol. What an absolute joke of a place! Terrible service!! They rip people off and use very young kids to do their slave work for them. Will never go back there again! And never recommend them!

Thanks SWIFTCO – After a lot of research to a number of trailer companies in and around Brisbane to make a few modifications to my existing boat trailer, I had chosen SWIFTCO to make the transition from a single axel to a tandem, I was very impressed with Marcus and his team and dedication to make the trailer the way I needed. with a fine comb.) I’m Pulling a near ton of CAT on a now a SWIFTCO Modified Trailer, My trailer tows mush better after a adjustment with the axels was done, And Now trailer holds the road very well, Before I left the Work shop on the GOLD COAST Marcus gave me a full account of what was done and said to me, Any problems bring the trailer back and we will tweak it as needed, (as mentioned it needed to be tweaked. axels moved back and drawbar weight recalibrated from (low kg) to the much needed and recommended 100kg. It seems to be of All good Quality parts and the work done, Time will tell, Happy with the THEN result.

Good value, quality and practical 6m tandem boat trailer – Fantastic. Firstly, Marcus and the team met the strict, tight promised delivery date I requested, even though they lost 4 of their floor team to Covid the week before I was due to pick the trailer up. Thank you Swiftco team, I am grateful. Secondly, I can only speak for the 6m tandem boat trailer, but if you look at Swiftco’s trailer specs for… Read more ·  1

this model and what you get it for money, Australian made, customer service and the quality etc you can’t go past this trailer company. I am a very happy, hard to please, fully paying customer. I went on a fortnights fishing holiday the day after getting the trailer and towed my fibreglass boat just under 2000kms including 200kms on slippery, muddy and corrugated dirt road. Whilst towing on this trip I barely felt that there was a boat and trailer of a shade under 2t behind me. When we got to the ramp, we had 10 launches and 10 retrieves over the days with no issues so this was an accelerated tough test and I am very happy with trailer setup. Picture of the boat and trailer is after this trip and I am still trying to get the mud of the fresh gal.

Marcus gave some handy tips on how to fit boat to trailer. My brother and I fitted boat and trailer up in the morning and headed off on our big trip the same afternoon. My boat fits snuggly to trailer and is set up so boat just drives on and off trailer at ramp. We even had a huge dangerous swell surge at the boat ramp whilst loading the boat one evening. I timed the surge and the boat just landed snug in trailer just like that, whilst mate quickly hooked boat up and brother pulled me and boat out with Pajero before the next huge surge. Skill, fluke or trailer…who knows? I know there are some slight tweaks required to finish trailer set up but will do this now we are home after a great fishing trip. Cheers Scott

Trailer arrived damaged – Ordered a trailer and paid $500 for them to freight it to me with the transport company they use, was told it would have insurance with freight. The freight driver arrived on a Saturday with no notice, left the trailer at his mates property 20km north of my town and told me I had to get it. What I didn't know he had used a excavator with slings… Read more

to remove the trailer. When doing this he left the trailer sides on and they all got bent. The trailer also arrived unregistered (I was told it was taken care off) and the wrong plug was put on (different to what I specified). The driver took photos of the damaged sides and said it would be taken care of. Well it wasn't. I rang Swiftco and was basically told by the owner to get stuffed when I said it was there fault because they were the ones who organized the freight. They took zero responsibility and told me to contact the freight company myself. When I contacted the freight company they told me I should talk to Swiftco. This went round and round a bit until the freight company finally accepted some responsibility. I tried to get new sides but Swifco said they no longer sell those sides so I would have to get the original ones repaired. They wanted me to get some quotes as I did and estimated the repair cost to be $600 for the four sides. This they didn't believe and wanted me to give them the sides so they could take them to Brisbane to repair them themselves. I declined thinking if I gave them the sides I may never see them again and decided I would be happy if they would just refund me the $500 freight charge and I would fix them myself. I never got any response and the freight company has since gone broke. Swiftco never took any responsibility and left me to clean up their mistake. Every time I look at the trailer I have to stop myself from getting mad. Customer service was appalling and will never buy from them again.

Second hand powerboat to new trailer – Swiftco was fabulous. Marcus and his team including Mark and JD and the ladies in the office were brilliant. Helped me match my new boat to a brand new custom trailer. Perfect boat set up to trailer. I'm totally confident I can tow my 2200kg boat and trailer up and down the coast to explore different rivers and water areas. Deemaxx braking system is excellent. Fantastic service combined with excellent prices – After being quoted exorbitant third-party prices in a rural area I investigated online and found Swiftco trailers. Extremely fast shipping and exceptional customer service! These people are experts in their field and everything fitted perfectly, If you live in a rural area don't pay ridiculous third-party prices, deal direct as it is considerably cheaper. Thanks for such an easy sale! Show details ·  1

and only 2 short trips with the trailer bearing is still getting very hot .Turns out self greasing axel won’t accept grease ,oh I forgot to mention that one week after collection all 4 of the brand new tyres went flat only to be told by the owner ( do you have neighbour’s that don’t like you ) but confirmed by Goodyear that all 4 valve stems were leaking .The Jockey wheel was dodgy and wouldn’t uncouple from my car ( apparently bent) this was replaced as good will however owner changed his mind when we asked to see the bent jockey wheel .Also coupling still not sitting right on the car despite the owner saying it’s fine .Somehow also the light on the side wasn’t working working it apparently had a cracked circuit board which we somehow broke ( please read through other reviews on this page and you will find the same issues over and over again with poor excuses from the owner .On top of this the office lady(Sam) was extremely polite until you have a problem with the quality of some of the components they use on their trailers and then she turns into the rudest office lady ever , oh did I mention the rude office lady is the co owner . If you buy one of these trailer don’t expect any after service and trust me you will need some .No matter what your claim is it will be your fault and he will talk over you the whole time you try and explain anything .

Negative experience – Purchased single axle trailer last year. One bearing heated up from new. Paid for boat fit - did not work, hull guides were not centred, I had to change, plastic on skids was at wrong angle to hull and had clearly been exposed to UV, I had to change, vertical posts on skids were not at 90 degrees to trailer I had to re-drill holes and adjust. Poor quality control. Show details

Had to find somewhere to store the boat securely as Swiftco would not assist with getting the trailer down the Gold Coast Highway from Brisbane due to my concern of a major failure. Yes, ok replaced under warranty, but then started to ear bash me about the brake supplier being the problem. I bought a trailer from Swiftco, not a brake manufacture. And when I asked about the Anco brake unit they installed, the response was yeah we don't know too much about them. Asked about maintenance on the brake callipers. Told to use a lanox product and tow it each week around the block. WTH. After confirming that all was.checked and fixed, 3 months later and about 150km on the clock, the bearings have failed, grease everywhere, grinding sound from wheels. Made contact and told to bring it down. Tried to explain the dangers of 3 tonnes on a highway with bearing issues, they don't really care. Then after asking for a copy of their warranty terms and conditions, a female staff started yelling at me, telling me she had to drive her rang rover to Brisbane for repairs, phone call terminated...what customer wouldn't. I have to pay for a tow truck to bring it to the Gold Coast. After sales.sevice is disgusting. Seem to want to shift the blame rather than work to a solution. Agree with other comments on this site. Yep, some good trailers but when the problem arises, they point the finger. And it appears from the companies responses on this pages, they like to get offended at customers who have had a bad experience. Looks like I will just pay to get a local to fix it. Leason learnt next time I need a trailer.Look out for me at the ramp, i am making and sticker to show my disgust atthe trailer quality. Will be more than happy to discuss my concerns about the company at the ramp.

Awesome trailer and fantastic after sales service – Bought a trailer from Swiftco around 8 years ago to replace a “name” brand trailer that had literally disintegrated with rust. It was ready to pick 3 days after I ordered it. They offered to set it up to suit my boat for a very reasonable fee and explained how to best wash the trailer to avoid any potential rust issues - they have a setup that… Read more ·  1

allows for flushing fresh water through the box frame which prevents any salt water rusting the trailer from the inside which seems to be the most common cause of failure in boat trailers.

It tows magnificently and after 8 years has no sign of any rust on the frame whatsoever so the galvanizing is obviously of the highest quality.

Driving the boat on is very easy, the set up of the trailer seems to counteract any skipper errors !

I recently had a problem where a bracket holding one on the rear wobble roller sets broke which was probably my fault as I didn’t have the trailer far enough into the water and they replaced the bracket for free even though it was well out of warranty - noting that the price for that part was ridiculously cheap even if I had had to pay for it.

The purchase price of this trailer was around 1/3 of the “name” brands, but the materials used are the same specs - unlike some of the other cheap trailers out there which are made from imported components bolted together here.

I could not be happier with the product or the service offered by this local company

Poor service , average quality, – I have purchased 2 trailers from this company. Trailer 1 - I asked for a dual axel boat trailer for my 17ft boat and the director at the shop argued with me trying to tell me I don’t need a dual axle one I only need single axle. I have them the specific boat type and model And he told me he had done heaps of those. Whatever, so i get my new… Read more

trailer and fit the boat on it and it’s terrible, axel couldn’t be moved back anymore as they had adjusted it all the way , in doing this they cut off the tie down points. It was all wrong ,I couldn’t travel over 60km hour without almost fishtailing out of control. I took it back after all the messing around and they upgraded it to the dual axel as I originally told them. They then fitted the boat and it was all wrong too , rollers were adjusted incorrectly and not even, I paid for them to adjust it and fit it and they couldn’t get that right. I get it , that’s just one guys incompetence in this case. Anyway I fixed it and the trailer was actually not bad and towed excellent. I was looking over it and realised they had put the wrong vin plate on it also , didn’t even match the rego papers, they sent someone out and grinded it off and put the new one on. Lot of messing around but I don’t usually complain , not the best service or outcome but hey I give them the benefit of the doubt.

Trailer 2 - I purchase a box trailer dual axel gal with cage and all the fruit. Cost over 5k Used it 6 times since I bought it last year. The tail light is broken already so I called up and they said email us, I asked them if they could just get someone to come out as I’m 20 min away and fix it as it’s under warranty and I’m pressed for time but they said no , so I said we can you just send me a light and I’ll fix it myself, that’s a no again. So I emailed and they said bring it in please let us know so we can confirm. I emailed them back and no reply. So I waited a bit and emailed them again , yep you guessed it , no response , the trailer is almost out of warranty so are they stuffing me around untill it’s out ? Communication wasn’t an issue when they needed my money but now it seems to be. In addition to that the galvanise is bubbling on the cage and the welds are horrific and rusting, I can’t even weld but I could do better than this mess. I find them quite rude to deal with and I won’t be buying from here again.

Trailer quality overall across the 2 trailers 6/10 Service 9/10 when taking your money And 4/10 when dealing with problems.

All I ask for is that you respond so we can fix the issues. My time is money and I’m willing to sacrifice that but swiftco isn’t.
