Return policy is a joke – Purchased a cheap angle grinder before Christmas. The guy that sold it to me bent over backwards to help as the one for sale in the online store was cheaper than the ones in the shop. I took it home and screwed it to my rock crusher it made about 3 revolutions and stopped. Turns out it was not enough wattage to do the job. Does that make it used? I don’t know. There are no marks on it anywhere to show signs of use. No damage no scratches no wear and tear. After Christmas I tried to take it back for a refund. The sales man was aggressive with me as soon as I mentioned I wanted to bring it back. I told him my story and he inspected it and dropped it back in the box from about 15 cm high which really made me think be careful at the time. He went to ask his manager and came back and said no they would not take it back. Then he said this has got dust on it I can’t re sell that. Then I said I can wipe the dust off. Then he said, yeah but you didn’t, Did you. Staring me in the eyes as he handed me the box back. I could have cut the air with a knife with how thick the aggression was. I thanked him and said it was worth a try and left. I paid $200 on special so it’s not sent me broke but that box is in my living room annoying me every day. Every time I tell someone the story they get angry and tell me to take it back and argue with them. They all tell me about the Bunnings return policy. Many people in town have a bad story about the attitudes they get from the workers. But admittedly none of them are tradies. I am not happy Jan. and will continue to tell everyone I can about how rude that man was.
