Poor customer service, don't waste your time and hard earned – Placed click and collect online order 16/12/22. Received email confirmation and invoice. shipping the order as their supplier need a minimum order value before they can despatch free of charge. The first I had heard of having to pay for shipping for an instore pickup. Was offered three options: wait for ST to have an order large enough to activate free shipping (with no idea as to when if ever this will happen, pay for shipping, get a refund. Asked them to pay the freight for the lack of customer service, wouldn't accept this,so opted to cancel the order and requested refund onto my CC, to be told that they are not sure if a refund can be made back to the CC I paid on,
Do not buy tools here – Bought a large Sidchrome shifter for work from the Rutherford store, the spring loader adjuster wheel fell out within a week, took it back and was sent away for warranty, 6+ months later and 6 calls average 1 a month and still no results constantly given the run around, promises to call me back asap, oh we’ve got to talk to accounts but we’ll… Read more

Anyone except Sydney Tools this fathers day – The inability to return a brand new, unopened product after a couple of weeks, is a policy that benefits the company, not the customer. My recommendation is clear, do not risk spending your money at Sydney Tools. They are profit focused, not customer focused, and they're not smart enough to make the connection, in my opinion.
Go elsewhere for your father's day gifts and you'll be glad you avoided Sydney tools.
Rutherford Worst store ever – I bought makita rebar cutters , had them for 6weeks the cutters failed and chipped upon inspection both cutting blades were different sizes and are supposed to be the same size , Sydney tools comment to me was sorry not under warranty this was after 7-8 weeks of them having them to find the problem , never once did they call me lazy bunch of fat #£>€s Show details

Absolutely Disgusted – Purchased a Gensafe Silent Diesel 8KVA Generator from Sydney Tools Rutherford back in February 2018. It was sent away in October for 7 weeks with no electrical output. It had 116 hours on the unit (ours had 86), and the wheels were buckled (my unit didn't have wheels on it - was sitting on a pallet with it's original box to protect it). I stated to the store manager this was not my unit and I cannot take it. Their response was for me to take the damaged unit and they will order parts to replace casing etc. How long was this going to take for the parts to arrive, and who was going to fit them? At the end of day they have lost my unit and we are now $1800 out of pocket and nothing to show for it.
Head office will not allow refunds or replacements due to major damage, even though it states on their Terms and Conditions. We have now spoken to the Dept Fair Trading and Sydney Tools and now have to go to Tribunal to get this matter resolved. I just want my original unit, repaired and working properly.
I highly recommend NOT to purchase anything from Sydney Tools due to the disgusting experience that we have had. We are building a house, and need to buy ALOT more tools and equipment, they have totally lost my business.
