Purchased a set of Dewalt 4 pack clamps, the shelf price displayed was 49.90, barcode on shelf pricing and product matched, went to checkout and was charged 56.90, when I pointed this out to the team member he stated that the prices are live and constantly change, they can go up, down and sideways in an instant and they have 54000 products so… Read more
can’t make sure the pricing is accurate all the time, I did bring him the pricing barcode from the shelf and said that by law the advertised pricing must be honoured, he stated that Sydney tools does not have to honour pricing as their pricing is live so the correct pricing is only know once the product is scanned at the checkout, I will report this to the ACCC as I have checked and all advertised pricing must be honoured and Sydney Tools is not exempt from this, I am guessing that I will receive the same copy and paste response that almost all reviews on this page receive
I was asked to purchase cleaning equipment for my employer, a school bus operator, for our depot in Nuriootpa. Having selected the high pressure water hose and gun, I asked the salesperson Tyler for fittings suitable to connect into the depot's high pressure water supply system at two points. The kit supplied had four plug in fittings supposedly… Read more
to suit the supplied hose fitting which is 3/8. One pair has a matching plug in fitting for the hose end and a female metric thread on the other for which I was, after several days of searching, unable to find any conversion to bsp thread - so useless to us. The other pair has a male bsp thread but the plug in end is oversize and doesn't suit the supplied hose. I have complained to the store that their recommended kit costing $49 has no use to us but they will not give a refund without the goods being in the supplied cardboard box. I trusted them to know what they were doing and so threw the box in the bin at the depot which, when I realised the parts were of no use, the box had gone from the bin. My contention is that, since this item was recommended by them as the best for the job which as it turns out was misrepresentation, they should accept the components back with a full refund. I have since purchased the correct items from another store which cost $20 so one has to wonder why I was encouraged to spend another $29 unnecessarily.
Eventually the store did accept the goods being returned and refunded the money paid for the goods.
Go to bunnings – DO NOT BUY FROM SYDNEY TOOLS!!!!! I had a faulty item and asked for a refund. Everything was approved but 4 weeks later I'm still waiting for the refund. They have item and haven't given my money back. I've had to contact ACCC to help sort this out because Sydney tools aren't doing anything about it. Show details

Terrible customer service at all levels – Bought 3800 dollars worth of toolbox, no genuine customer service. Contacted Sydney tools head office and were left unimpressed after they didn't even bother contacting me back. Regret not going through total tools because they were happy to look after me, however I needed the toolbox and they didn't have it in stock. I should have checked the… Read more
previous reviews before I committed as my purchase would have never been from Sydney Tools. All future tool upgrades will be total tools, I'll NEVER but from Sydney tools ever again!
