Had solar installed in 2022. Had specified I wanted battery ready inverter. Was assured by rep not problem we will install battary ready system. In 2025 was looking for qouts for battery. Also contacted these guys. No response to emails tried calling and nothing. Basically do a deal and vanish. Thanks yo CHATGP found out my growat is not suitable. Make sence why they won't reply and ignore
Had solar & battery installed two years ago. Battery stopped working a week ago & can’t get in touch with them. No customer support. Phone number is disconnected and no email support or even messenger on Facebook. Crickets…….Not happy!
Don’t use this company. We installed and it keeps going offline and not working without telling us so god knows how long it hasn’t been working. Calling website numbers and all disconnected. Looks like they’re Chinese money making scammers. Avoid avoid avoid

but after speaking to Martin one of the consultants our mind was put at ease. Martin explained various options to explore from the most cost effective to the more expensive options explaining the advantages & disadvantages of each option. He was also able to answer any queries we had. In the end we ended up upgrading our 5kw system to a 10.5kw system as this was the most cost effective & future proofed our needs. Martin kept us informed throughout the process. From signing the contract it only took less than 2 months to get the system installed. The installers were very professional and friendly, and did the installation in half a day. They also took the time to show how the system works via an App. The app was very impressive as I could see the performance of the system on a daily basis. I recently got my first bill from AGL and was happy to see $205 credit for the quarter. Thank you to Martin & the team from Sync Energy for helping us.

Solar installation - SYNC ENERGY – From start to go Sync Energy were a pleasure to deal with, Martin made the process easy to understand explaining everything we needed to know. The installers arrived on time and on the day promised, installation was completed within a few hours, and the entire area was left clean and tidy. They also explained the system to us.
Solar panels on my first home – Very fast installation process, and I thought it would take a whole day. I've never used this company before, however my dad was the one mainly dealing with the company, and he said they were a great help.

gone to a different company to order my 20kw system. Wish I had used another company from the beginning. So stressful if you have an issue and they are gone.
Follow-up · I had panels and inverter replaced by another company when I had battery’s installed. I wanted to have everything by the one company that will not disappear like Sync did. Sync have been around for years. But they disappear and come back to make money. Then I contactable again. That’s their history. Sync also damaged my roof and denied it was them.

The Sync Energy "$0 Bill Virtual Power System", coupled with its 10 year contract, is an amazing value proposition for anyone who understands Return On Investment (ROI) concepts. The 4 year ROI of our $26k investment their consultant forecast is spot on, now validated after we received the letter from our grid energy provider (currently Alinta) at start of July 2023 informing us of increases to NSW power prices. We were expecting 24% which was touted by the press leading up to the price hike event, but ours turned out to be an average 36% increase across all off-peak rates!
So what this means from a financial perspective, is after our $26k investment will be paid off after 4 years, our power for the 6 years thereafter is FREE! And, a large area of our north facing roof is now shielded from the hot summer sun by the 16 fabulous PV panels, so am sure our home will be a lot cooler throughout summer & require much less use of the a/c system. Yes, very happy!

researched photos of my roof in wintertime. These showed shadows from trees across the road that fell across sections of the proposed solar panels which would have restricted performance. I had the proof in my own hands summer was OK but winter was restricted. We agreed to shift a section of the panels to the western roof which now gives me good performance in the afternoon. The bulk of the panels face north which gives excellent morning performance as well as better overall performance. I rang him repeatedly with questions which he always answered quickly and efficiently, he always got back to me was patient and polite. The installation team was on time and efficient and worked like beavers and had the job finished by late afternoon. I didn't think they would finish in a day but Mark and his offsider didn't stop and got the job done, they also left the area clean. I am now waiting for the supply authorities to supply and fit the new solar meters. I am very happy with Sync Energy and have found them hard to beat in price, quality of equipment and level of engineering advice. I am an electrician myself and am a hard marker but I can recommend this company.

SALESPERSON WAS NICE AND GENUINE Dear future Sync customers. Here is my review for you to help make educated and knowledge based decisions on whom you make your solar purchase from. From the start the Sales person was more than helpful, not your usual pushy constant text and calls types of Solar salesperson, but genuinely helpful and no beating around the bush.
GOOGLE REVIEWS LOOKED GREAT - FOCUSED ON CUSTOMER SERVICE Now I saw some reviews and customer service is where all the positives really helped me make a decision to go with Sync, as the real works when you come to face problems and you need help, from the operations team, and customer service technicians alike.
LET DOWN BY OPERATIONS/SCHEDULING Well, so far the operations team has really let down the buying experience i have had, i thought i'd outline an issue i had, as not once did someone come to my home and actually think about my job from an install point of view, and the crap rolled down hill from their.
THE FACTS My facts below, and carefully check the last sentence. I wont be paying for something that wasnt required. 1. Quoted job with an install date of end of January or 1st week of February 2. Contract issued for the amount already paid in full January 5th ($5789).
CONTRACT DIDNT MATCH CONVERSATION WITH SALESPERSON 3. The Contract was missing the "as discussed verbally" over the phone details of the roof pitch, i had also sent through building approved plans showing roof pitch. 4. I sent a text to Salesperson as this information was missed from that conversation and email and missed in the contract. 5. Contract re-issued with correct information including the roof pitch. 6. Deposit Paid January 10th
BOOKING DATE WAS NOT HONOURED 7. Awaiting booking which i was told verbally again would happen in the time frame of first week in February I followed up 7th February asking details of booking 8. Finally got a booking 22nd February after i did the following up as the booking team was not reaching out to me. Told me I'm getting a specialist team for hard roof pitches or 2 stories.
INSTALLERS ARRIVED ONLY TO SAY THEY COULDNT DO THE JOB 9. Contractors Turned up 22rd of February and then left the site, saying roof pitch was too steep (note, quoted for this work, was told about pitch) 10. February 23rd Received random text and phone call from SYNC (OFFSHORE ACCOUNTS PERSON) just to say they've canceled the contract, i texted Salesperson who said hell look into it dont worry. 11. I again reach out Feb 28th to ask what's going on
2 MONTHS AFTER PAYING THE DEPOSIT AND WAITING FOR SOLAR THEY TELL ME THEY CANT DO THE JOB 12. March 3rd received email saying "to hard" to do the job, and that SYNC roof installers are not prepared to do the job. I Called to discuss why they didnt just use the 2nd Story at that time as although we preferred to use the rear single story the front was offered as an option, though not our preferred. 13. Salesperson stated in response, he hadnt realised the front 2nd story (as the rear is single story) was only 20 degrees. 14. I resent the plan highlighting the front pitch being 20Degrees so it wasnt missed on this occasion, same plan as previously sent just with a highlighter over the text showing roof pitch. March 4th im told, SYNC can do the job but i need to pay for Boom hire ($600) as its the only way to get panels onto the roof. 15. To which i said sure, please proceed. Thinking excellent ill get installers back asap and so be it if they cant get panels onto the 2nd Story, i understand ill have to wear a cost. 16. March 11th Get a call for booking Install for March 21st. 17. I emailed so say this would be an additional cost to me of at least $600 in extra power and sent SYNC my power bill which went as expected from 1100 per previous period (height of summer) to $1800 as we now had all our new home products installed and running (which we knew would jack our costs up, the whole reason for Solar). 18. I called to discuss the fact re-install date was not until 21st March and that does this seem fair that id be paying for the lift as my original install date should have been February 4th, i now almost 2 months later have an install date, to which Salesperson said SYNC should be able to wear that cost due to the terrible operations, Scheduling, cancellations, delays. 19. Next thing im being invoiced for those costs, and chased down by daily phone call for the additional $600 for the "required" Boom Lift. I paid my account in full (minus the $600 which i will not pay) and here is the reason why additional to the above.
INSTALL 24. Installers come on the 21st of March. They dont use the boom lift to lift panels onto the roof because "They dont fit into the boom lift", still they manage to lift them up the side of the house (direct from the installers mouth and confirmed as my neighbour approached me that night as they had accessed via his house without permission which was on his cameras)
RECOMMENDATION Do i recommend SYNC in short, NO based on the fact it was the customer service that was supposed to set them apart, the response within 24 hours, didnt happen.
The Price is right, the products are the same as everyone else on the market,who are competing at this level , yet i was paying for customer service and operational excellence,
THEY HAVE FAILED SO FAR IN THE EXACT AREA THEY CLAIM TO EXCEL IN. Pay the extra money, go with the companies who have their own installers, and come to your house to check the details in full, do not use SYNC.

Support has dropped off completely. Phone number is disconnected, emails are not replied to so there for the zero cost model is broken. If you send you bill in you receive no response any more. If someone know who or how to contact them please advise.
Absolute disgrace, system installed wrong, no follow up. Stay away from these people... still trying to sort it out... looks as though I will need to pull it out completely and re do it.
Still waiting on a reply – I have been trying to contact your office for over 2 weeks by email and phone. I have had no reply. We have an Inverter issue and Growatt have told me I need to contact the retailer(Sync Energy) My system is only 3 yrs old. We want our solar working again!
Terrible Support and Lack of Accountability – I’ve had an awful experience with this company. Terrible – Had installed the gold 10 plus. Zero bill for 10 years. Which cost $25000. The consultant said if we get a bill forward to Sync Energy and they will pay for it. consultant he came over looked at my bill and said it was under allocated usage. He also advised me thar he stopped selling their product. Very hard to contact. I would not recommend anyone to have this system at all. Waste of money. Now with fair trade.

initially answered my calls, I have not received any follow-up or support for the past seven days. My attempts to get in touch have been unproductive, leaving me frustrated and concerned about the lack of response.
The product itself seemed promising, but this experience has been deeply disappointing. The safety risk and inadequate customer support are concerning, especially given the warranty. I hope the company addresses this issue promptly and improves their customer service.
I would advise potential buyers to thoroughly research and ensure reliable customer .
Not easy dealing with repairs under warranty – Have error code thrown up on my inverter system, called them and they have acknowledged it’s under warranty as it an issue in there install job. Since then have barely heard anything regarding them fixing, have also been dodging my calls.

We haven’t had it long but so far it is looking great – The young man, Annakin, who sold us on the unit was really knowledgeable and explained everything so that we could understand. He was more than helpful in many ways. The installation was no problem and they did it in a day and took photos for us plus we got an app on our phone that shows us what power is being produced and where it’s going. If this keeps being this good we will definitely get the battery and join the Sync family.
Mostly good once we overcame some initial issues – The system is great, monitoring good however there were some installation challenges at the beginning. Initial plan for battery and inverter location had to be changed at time of install which caused some delay. where Sync do not yet have a suppliers licence so I have to maintain my contract with current supplier and be reimbursed each month.
None of these things are massive issues, just not as smooth as it could be. I’m sure sync will improve as they get feedback and tidy up the experience.
So far so good – I’ve had my solar installed for 3 weeks now and so far been very happy. Jonathan has been a pleasure to work with , explained everything clearly and followed up with any questions I had. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and Sync for your future solar needs
No Follow-up to Service and Warranty Issue for over 4 Months – Despite acknowledging and fault with the solar system and repeated promises to send a technician, we are now 4 months later without resolution. Very poor service and client experience.
