Taubmans for the win in the Tropics – Easy to apply, great coverage, excellent value. Very happy with DIY result of semi gloss in white 'cotton ball' and feature walls in 'Hoya' for new (old) home that had three different wall surface textures. Bessa block, plaster board & rendered. Went on well using 12mm foam roller on all surfaces + brush for cutting in. 2 coats over pre-painted… Read more ·  1

and cleaned walls. Painted during summer in FNQ with a/c and fans on, no issue with dry time. Taubmans is Great. Do Not try to use Dulux wash and wear in the tropics - in my experience it is rubbish! dries too fast gives terrible gritty finish, waste of time and money. (used it on unit)

Water based semi gloss is just that water, shocking – Have been using the Taubmans Professional range for the first time. Have found the Undercoat, Ceiling Paint and Interior Broadwall excellent. However, the semi Gloss water based is shocking. We undercoated the area and applied the semi gloss and it was not till the fourth coat that it gave complete coverage. It is definitely water based. No semi… Read more

gloss should take FOUR coats. I would use the other paints but never again the semi gloss a waste of time and money.

Not sure why other people are having problems - this is a solid paint – Two coats by roller was sufficient to completely hide the previous pink colour. I used it untinted, and it's certainly white. It's not streaky or watery. It's thick normal paint. The attached photo shows two coats, dry, of the untinted paint. The walls and ceiling were pink previously. No comment on longevity. Edit: 2 years on and the… Read more ·  1

paint is still perfect in a bathroom which gets humid frequently (obviously). Easy to clean off watermarks/bugs etc with a wet cloth.

attracts mildew – Painted in November and was covered in mildew during wet weather in January, even under cover from the rain.Would not recommend this paint for tropical areas. The base had two coats of undercoat and two coats of Endure finish. Show details

drip drip drip – Taubmans Endure is watery, drippy and needed two to three coats, Taubmans easy coat is much better does not drip all over the F#%%$#@ place and covers with only one coat, plus is 10-20 dollars cheaper. The salesman at Bunnings in Cairns saw me coming hook, line and sinker, said something about a molecular nano technology. bottom line buy the most expensive, apply thin watery coverage, = more coats = more dollars, ya ok I get it now.  Show details

Great paint – Used the Taubmans Endure and was really happy with the results. Nice even texture on drying, no paint spatter when using. It has been very easy paint to work with and I have had no problems. Our rooms so far look amazing. The only downside was the darker colour we used in our bedroom was unavailable (they could not mix it) in the Endure so for that room we went to the next level Taubmans (blue and white tin) which was equally as good.  Show details

Really thick with great coverage and hiding power – Used the semi gloss exterior to paint a treated pine retaining wall, very viscous consistency makes it a bit more difficult to apply, but no drips or runs and the coverage on a rough surface is great - 2 coats looks really even and professional. Six months on and no sign of wear at all.  Show details

A great paint to use – I have used taubmams endrance on my latest project and I find this paint has got great pigmentation and is a very easy paint to use where I find with other paints the pigmentation is not a good coverage rate and you have to put more coats on? Where as this endurance is a force to reckon with and very easy to use.  Show details

very disappointing – I've always found Taubmans paints excellent until I used Endure semi-gloss for our bathroom and had the same experience as other reviewers: it is severely lacking in pigment. I did 3 coats on the window frame and it still looks streaky and washy. It's a bit better on the walls & ceiling where I used a roller but still not up to scratch. I don't… Read more

think more coats will make any difference either. They definitely need to improve this line or drop it entirely.

Never again, never – Just finish painting one of my office wall with semi gloss "white" endure total protection paint. My dam wall is smoke yellow not white as the other walls. This is rubbish has nothing to do with white. And it takes 3 liter to cover one dam wall. Never again Taubman in my house. Wasted my money and time. Arrrr

2 thumbs down – Using the interior one for trimwork. Skins too quickly, so you drag the paint off if you need to go back and correct. You basically have a 2 minute work time with this paint. Also noticed when I remove masking tape that the the bond is so strong across the masking tape/trim edge, that it pulls patches off the trimwork as well. Going to bin this… Read more

lot and try another brand. Whatever the bond technology is they're using does not suit trimwork or where ever you need to mask... Applies easily Skins too quickly, bond is too strong over masked areas that it pulls paint off trim when removing masking tape...

Endure is terrible – Worst paint I've ever used. Gluggy, doesn't spread, no shine in gloss finish. Where do you stop. How about before you get to your windows. Ever one refuses to harden properly. We're now 3 months after painting and it is only starting to harden now. Back to dulux we've gone. Suggest you stay away.
