“close” and about 40 minutes away. I wouldn’t want to know what “running late” looks like if 40 minutes is considered close, especially for inner-city Brisbane. He gave me an arrival time of 11:20am.
Because we were just sitting there waiting, my father-in-law and I started moving everything out to the driveway to speed things up and avoid going over the 2-hour minimum, which then jumps to $70 per 30 minutes. By the time they arrived at 11:16am, we had already moved basically everything ourselves, including the fridge. All they had left to grab from the unit was the washing machine and a chest of drawers.
Even then, they still took frustratingly longer than they should have. At one point one of them was on a phone call while we’re being charged by the hour, and it got to the point where it was so painful to watch, my father-in-law (63 by the way), started helping load the truck just to keep things moving.
The unload at the new place was just as painful. One of the two guys was far too small to be handling some of the items and the manual handling technique was so questionable, it even made my back sore just watching it.
We were lucky to finish under the 2 hours, but that's only because we had family helping on both ends and we only moved 5 minutes down the road. Otherwise this definitely drags out all day and costs a lot more. In hindsight it makes sense why they were late, they were probably going just as slow at the job before us.
Care for items wasn’t careless, but also not at the level you would expect from a professional/paid removalist service.
Wouldn’t recommend Team Removals in Brisbane unless you enjoy a frustrating and painful moving experience where you end up doing half the job yourself while still paying full price.
Very very disappointed , small move, 7 items, 1/3 of a 3 bedroom house. It was impossible to communicate with 2 guys they did not understand what we were saying, they damaged our house moving items out, very rough and damaged the furniture, they packed items securely in the truck but that was the only positive. our lounge suite through the doorway they totally ignored our requests and forced the item damaging it. They damaged our new house moving the items roughly into spaces. One guy was on his phone 95% of the time. The move was only 5 kl, they started on time but took an extra hour as their approach to moving the furniture through doorways etc was not logical. Our leather lounge suite was dragged along concert path and literally bashed through the doorway , it did not fit because of the angle and way they were pushing it through the space. It was damaged and badly scratched. The extra hour taken was due to their negligence, inexperience, lack of communication and constant use of mobile phone. We will never recommend this company and will hesitate in informing others of the nightmare this move created.

furniture dismantling service, afternoon removal, overnight storage and next day (afternoon) drop off for a 2x2 apt. We had the charges explained to us and everything seemed to be going well. However, then things quickly started going wrong. The booking was confirmed around 3 weeks before our move (arranged for 09th Dec), however we were having multiple emails about simple queries and questions, often answered by multiple people ([Name Removed], [Name Removed], [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] were some of the names of people we dealt with) and so we were having the same coversations over and over again. Late on the 03rd Dec, we completed an items list where were asked to choose from a list of preselected items and specify quantities. The next day we received a call from dispatch to confirm our booking. Then 4 days later on the Sunday, 08th December, we were called again by dispatch to confirm our booking and were asked the same questions multiple times despite having it all confirmed on multiple emails and having received a booking confirmation. The dispatch agent ([Name Removed]) was adamant that we had not completed an item list, but then managed to find it. We were then told we had too much stuff for a 4.5 tonne truck (as originally organised), despite them being given the list late on the 03rd. They then said they would try and get a bigger truck, but we would now need to find and pay for a new storage facility and find someone ourselves. All we received was a "sorry for the inconvenience" despite explaning it was way too late to try and organise else and that we were moving home and had a deadline to handover keys on the 10th. [Name Removed] was rude, uncooperative, didn't seem to do much and couldn't give us a time frame on when things would be sorted. We had to have multiple calls and conversations over the afternoon, and at one point we were asked if "we had called the right company" (despite their number being on our emails) and saying they couldn't find our booking reference. They only found it once I forwarded our email confirmations back to them. We were also told by [Name Removed] that we hadn't paid a deposit, despite having the evidence to prove that we had. Eventually they advised that they had secured a truck and could now honor the original booking (overnight storage etc), but we had to pay extra per hour for the new truck. The next day we had a call from the manager who wasn't helpful in the slighest (named either Harry or Peter). They couldn't tell us where our stuff would be stored overnight, but eventually said Maddington. We were also told that they had to tried emailing us on the 04th advising we needed a bigger truck, but when we asked for evidence of this supposed email, they said they would send it (they never did.) They were due to arrive between 1pm and 3pm on the 09th. We admittedly made a change as we received the keys to our new place earlier than expected, but they agreed to dropping our items off directly to the new property, but we still had to pay the overnight storage fee as they had "already paid the storage facility." Then we were told early afternoon the previous booking was overruning and the 10 tonne truck was no longer available and we now had to use the 4.5 tonne truck and complete the move in multiple trips. They arrived at 4:20pm and we had to do a trip from our home to the new property, back to our home and then back again. Despite agreeing for a packing service, we had to pack ourselves the night before and morning of the move because we didn't trust they would do it. When they did arrive, they turned up at the wrong address first of all (luckily not far from where we are). When the truck was loaded with the first load, we were then harassed multiple times by manager for payment and to show proof of it (even the removalists kept asking us) and we were now being charged for a 6 hour service, plus overnight storage.
We had to also show proof to the removalists because they were being harassed by the same manger to confirm we had paid (they even took a screenshot of my phone to show payment). We were doing alot of the move ourselves (in conjuction with the removalists) just to help speed things up, which defeats the whole purpose of paying for removalists. At one point the removalists asked if we could get dinner for them. Whilst the removalists themselves aren't at fault, and only got given the job at 3:45 due to the truck change, the company is an absolute farce and scam. Again, I would absolutely not recommend you use this company, it cause far too much stress and makes the process of moving house (which is already hard enough) so much worse. It was a shame we had to end our last day in our home with such a horrific experience.
They are a total sham, and you are better to do it yourself, or spending time finding a much better removalist company.

that the driver must have certain documentation to have the item released to them). The item was eventually delivered at about 2pm. They were already chasing the balance of the payment next morning at 10am, first by text and later by phone (incidentally the payment had been made). Would not recommend.
Follow-up · I resolved the paperwork issue by calling my customs broker who spoke to the depot. No compensation was offered.

This was one of the worst moving experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were completely unprofessional and caused unnecessary delays. That is absolutely unacceptable.
Secondly, they failed to return my wall-mounted TV bracket. I called the staff repeatedly right after the move, but they ignored all my calls. I then contacted the company directly, and they still denied having it. This level of irresponsibility and dishonesty is shocking.

even gave the removalists small tip. As a decent human, I told removalist not to worry about the change. I felt bad for them because they are two young lads with small body frames so my husband and I helped them and we told them to keep the change and buy drinks. 5.
