Tetra Snuggle Bed

Perfect for our needs – I've used snuggle beds for all three of my children who are now 5yrs, 3yrs & 7mths. I put our snuggle bed on a coffee table in our bedroom, with the last two I popped a sheepskin underneath. From their first sleep till their last at around 5-6mths old they slept in the snuggle bed with no problems. All my babies were large babies but I managed… Read more
to squeeze them in the snuggle bed until they were 6mths, my babies weren't trying to roll around in bed, so I found it safe. I found it great when they were unsettled to be able to sit with them (on the coffee table or floor) and even lye with them if I had to. It was also good for my bad back to use the table to sit on & help me up when lifting my baby up & down. I've taken it travelling, it's a bit bulky but easy to chuck in the car and set up absolutely anywhere, bed, couch, table. With the last baby, I folded & tucked a wrap as a protector, should there be a leakage, as it's not the easiest thing to wash & dry. I managed to get secondhand covers that were homemade for a cheaper option for cover replacements.
I loved it as it was perfect for me and my babies and situation, but each to their own.
Loved this product – I used one of these beds for my son. We didn't have space for a cot and bassinet so this was a great option to give him the secure safe space. It was also great when going out could just grab this and put onto a friends bed. It was like he was in his own bed. It was also a good size so he lasted in it longer than a bassinet. Natural, organic, easy to air and freshen up in sunshine.
A better option to the snuggle bed – I looked at the snuggle bed as an option for co-sleeping but it was too heavy and wondered what it would be like when it was wet from washing. It isn't really easy for travelling as it is to large. A better option I found was My Little Bed a co-sleeping bed but it can be used to go straight into a cot when the baby is new or very easy to take to my mother's when visiting. Musch more convenient than the snuggle bed and half the price.

Excellent – Fantastic product for co-sleeping or even placing baby in a snuggly environment within their cot. Would thoroughly recommend the Snuggle Bed to everyone! Perfect for keeping our newborn close to us at night. My partner and I were happy in the knowledge that he was close by but had his own designated sleeping space. Great we got to choose what… Read more
surface he was to sleep on ie our mattress and still had the tea tree roll around him for protection. Transportable. Found you could clean it by pulling material away from teatree filling and scrub it with friendly cleaner. It may look stained initially but if you lay in sunlight for a bit the stains virtually go away. Agree a waterproofing system would be advantageous. Either an extra piece under baby that you can pull out and clean? My baby was born in Dec on Gold coast so snuggle bed was a bit warm for him..but during the day everywhere was warm for him. Just had to ensure he had a breeze or fan near him and that he was wearing cool cottons.
Excellent – We couldn't live without the Tetra bed. My son has been in it everyday in his cot to sleep and he is now 6 months. We have travelled with it to friends and sleep overs with our son and he is comfortable and in a familiar environment to fall asleep. We have covered this bed with an extra sheet as extra protection as well as the cover on it. I… Read more
love that our son hasn't developed the "flat head" syndrome from sleeping on too hard a surface in the first few months. He had a flat spot from his first 4 days in the hospital trolley, but we have succeeded in getting his head back to rounded by using the tetra bed. I am so hesitant to have him out of this bed and into the hard cot(I wish I bought the tetra cot mattress when we bought our cot) I have put it off taking him out of the tetra bed, but the time is coming when we will have to use the cot (and a portacot when visiting) I am not looking forward to it as the tetra bed has spoilt me.
I love it! Everyone should have one for the first 6 months!! Can take baby with you visiting friends for dinner and they have their own little safe bed. Don't need to take a heavy portacot when visiting. Easy, compact and light to throw in the car. No water proof cover, and you can't wash it. Only damp sponge it or the fibres can stain the fabric.
Excellent – GREAT! I'd definitely recommend this product. Not sure why they are considered to be unsafe. I realise they aren't as firm as a mattress but the tetra fibres are completely safe and thus baby can't suffocate. I thought it was incredibly convenient. I used it alot when out and about. It was easy to just pop it on a bed or even a blanket on the… Read more
floor. A+++ from me! Great for newborns - you can have this anywhere in the house. It's light, easy to take somewhere if you're visiting (much easier than a porta-cot!) and the natural fibres means that it's safe for breathing etc It comes with a washable cover. Baby outgrows it at 6 months! I too wished they came in a bigger size :) Some people have found that their baby didn't transition to a cot easily after being in the snuggly environment but I think it's no different to tranferring from a cradle/ bassinette to a cot. Washable covers are an expensive accessory. Hard to tuck babies in firmly but that's not a huge deal if baby is wrapped anyway.

Settles my infant! – I originally purchased this to be used with my cot (for my newborn). However the midwives advised against using the snugglebed unsupervised and I ended up buying a bassinet. I didn't think I had any use for it, however I had enormous problems settling my colic infant and the snugglebed would work miracles! Since she was 2 weeks old until now (3… Read more
months) it has been central to her settling routine. She loves it!
As good as my bassinet is, nothing comforts my daughter like the snugglebed. We transfer her to the bassinet afterward.
Luckily she has not soiled it.
Its great to use when traveling as it is :
1) light and portable (comes with zipper bag with handles)
2) can be used with rented portacots or hotel beds
3) helps babies adjust to unfamiliar surroundings Comforting for newborns, great for travelling, barriers stop baby from rolling out Expensive, small (can't be used with babies over 6 months), difficult to clean, shouldn't be used overnight
Fantastic!! – We used this in the cot after we moved my daughter from her bassinet. She was still too small for the cot but too big for he bassinet so this worked perfectly!! We loved it, she slept so well in it. Definitely recommend it to anyone. When I went to buy covers for it, I found them quite expensive- so I just used the fitted sheets for her cot over… Read more
it and tucked them into it so it fit nice and snug. I will definitely be putting this away for our next kids!! Perfect size to fit in the cot, good to take as a travel bed instead of porta cot, very comfy & light
Excellent – As first time parents we bought everything under the sun in anticipation of the big arrival of our daughter, a lot of it was a complete waste of money! This product however, is the one thing that we absolutely could not have done without. It allowed us to co-sleep safely and enabled us to put her down wherever we were. So good to be able to keep… Read more
her close at all times. She slept soundly in this from day one and if we needed to move her while she was asleep we could just carefully pick it up with her in it and put her wherever we needed without disturbing her. It also serves the purpose of a travel cot as it's extremely portable. Unfortunately at about 4 months she decided she completely hated it though! By that point it had paid for itself many times over. I heartilly endorse this product! Cheap, portable, natural, safe, removable cover None at all
Love it – Our daughter loves this bed. We had her in a bassinet for the first couple of months which she seemed to be uncomfortable in after a while. She is extremely comfortable in this, and sleeps really well. When she is ready, we'll put the bed in the cot as a transition. Portability, and that my daughter sleeps like a charm! moving it around a bit. Easy enough to fix by repositioning, but could be a bit dangerous if they're rolling.
Good – As mentioned above the replacement covers are really expensive to don't buy the brand name covers. Do what I did and buy a fitted cot sheet, it fits over the tetra bed perfectly and is a lot cheaper. I got a waterproff fitted cot sheet which was even better. -Perfect for cosleeping while still keeping your baby safe in thier own designated space. … Read more
-Lots comfy for bub, my son seems really content in it.
-Little larger then other cosleeper options, I originally had a first years cosleeper but upgraded to this one as he outgrew it. -Tea Tree flakes can get bunched up in one area but not too bad.
-The replacment covers are really expensive and you really need one as babies spit up on them so it needs to be washed regularly.
So glad I bought this – This was really handy to put in the cot with my little one. He took to it straight away and his cot didnt swallow him up like it used to and he settled and is sleeping really well in it! I am so glad that I bout this for him, as he wasnt settling in his cot before I got it. Everything! It is flexable! can be used for everything. bit of a high price to buy brand new.
Super handy, my baby loved it – I bought this second hand which at first i thought was a bit gross but gave it a go. My little girl loved it from the start. It was great because it meant she could sleep in a big cot but not get lost in the cot as it provided a comfortable cosy sleeping environment that was clean, safe and made her feel comfortable. Loved it – This was a gift when i had my baby 16 months ago. it was brought with the idea of having a portable bed. this wasn't the case for us, we put it in her cot from day dot, she loved it! i will be buying this for friends who have babies in the future. when she outgrew it. - took some time to get use to a different surface. **but that's certainly not the products fault!**
Excellent – DD is still in it at 14 weeks, it will be sad to see her go to a cot ! It has been in her cot since birth, surrounded by toys. Not as easy to tuck in blankets as a cot, but I just tuck them in under her and a thin quilt over the top tucked under the snugglebed. Can't rate this highly enough, so glad we bought it. for nights away. Cover can be washed. My Mum made me a couple of flanelette covers too, as the winter here is cold.
Bad – Great idea but I think its better suited for cool weather use only as I just had too many problems using this in summer. They say an over-heated baby is at risk of SIDS and my baby definately got overheated everytime she was in the Tetra Snuggle Bed so we stopped using it. Great idea as you can use this straight in your newborns cot. They are nice… Read more
and snuggly for cold weather keeping baby nice and warm. I found in summer this was too hot for my baby making her back very sweaty and it made her smell strange so I stopped using the Tetra Snuggle bed and she stopped the sweating and the strange smell went away.
Good – I think the snuggle bed is a great purchase for occasional use but I don't believe it's a good purchase for constant sleeping overnight. I liked the snuggle bed for the ease of having a place for baby to sleep when I visited friends or relations. It was easy to throw in the boot of the car. then surely puting a snuggle bed into the cot is virtually puting a bumper around the child. I see no need to put the snuggle bed into a cot, my child went straight into the cot without a snuggle bed and slept perfectly. I believe the snuggle bed is convenient for day sleeps when the cot is not accessible.
OK – This product is great for newborns.Easy to fit a water proof sheet over the mattress and use it to change nappies as well.My newborn loved this and when i put her favorite blanket tucking the sides under the bed.I found it handy to put next to me in my bed and she felt so cozy that she slept long. But she was fairly long for 4 months and started to… Read more

Good – It also works really well in our bed if she's feeling lonely and won't go to sleep as she can see me and I won't roll on her. Because of this bed, at only 3 months of age my baby girl was already sleeping in her own cot in her own room with no problem. Love it! My baby girl loves this bed. found the added bonus that the 'flat spot' she was beginning to develop simply rounded out after a few weeks - hooray! It's a bit of a challenge to tuck in sheets as the crevice between the sides and bottom aren't very deep. I was worried baby might pull them out and cove her face, but I simply folded the sheet to size and it's been absolutely fine. Also it might be an idea to open the outer case and put a water proof liner around abouts where the nappy will go - just in case. What a shame they don't make a longer size too - I'd like to keep her in it longer, but at 5 months she's already almost touching head and toe.
Excellent – Highly recommend for new parents who want to sleep close to their baby. The beds can be found in all good baby stores and department stores. Would also recommend the Tetra Pillows and Tetra Headrest (if you can still find them - they may have been discontinued). This product is fantastic as its so portable and contains natural tea tree fibres. … Read more
Our bubs refused to sleep in the bassinet or cot after 2 weeks as she caught a cold and wanted to be near us all the time. We put the snuggle bed in our bed and she slept in there until she was comfortable enough to sleep in her cot. As she is in her own space on the bed, there is no risk of you rolling onto her or her rolling out of the bed. We used this also for her bed when she was a newborn for when we travelled interstate and it is light and easy to transport. Not much to dislike although dad might have to move into the spare room if you don't have a king size bed for all 3 of you!
Good – I got this product as I think it is a waist of money getting a portacot, cot and a bassinet. I have used the portacot as a bassinet with the tetra snuggle bed in it. My daughter is 7 months old now and she is getting too big for it. She has to sleep with a pillow when she isn’t in it because she is used of feeling like she is being snuggled It… Read more
makes an easy on the go bed that you can put almost anywhere and be sure baby will be safe. It comes in a range of different colours. It moulds to baby after a few nights sleep and is hard to get it back flat, into its normal shape. There is no protector made for this product.
Excellent – Love this and would recommend it. A wonderful product and feel lucky to have had it recommended to us. I think it makes your baby feel secure. Loved that my little one would not look and (presumably) feel lost because of the close sides, compared to a cot. Means that when their baby does go into a cot, the surroundings are the same, with no… Read more
transition for their baby's surroundings. It also gives parents peace of mind, given the SIDS safe filling inside. A wonderful transition for parents who don't want to buy a bassinet. I wish it was a bit longer, so that my little girl could be in it for longer than 6 months!!

her warm and secure. She has been sleeping through from 3 weeks now.
Great for taking along on outings.
Makes it possible to put teddies and so on in the cot,as snuggle bed separates the sleeping area from the cot.
It eliminates the need for bassinet and port a cot.
I had this for both my kids. It is not really washable (you can wash it, but it will create stains), however the material is naturally anti bacterial.
Excellent – Its a great buy from a great brand. Handy and user friendly. Its a fantastic product to have for a new born baby! thumbs up! Good – a good investment, especially if you go out often in the evening with bub, if your happy to outlay the money then i say go for it. perfect for co smeeping without keeping you awake with the worry that your going to squash or roll on baby. Excellent – i would reccommend this product to every new mum, it comes in handy when you need to get things done around the house as the barrier prevents baby from moving too much. the money might seem alot at the time but much easier to use than a cot when they are so young i liked that the cover can be easily removed and washed, it is pretty lightweight but… Read more

Good – I was very happy with this product. The safety features and cocoon like feel of the product outweigh the cons.
