they confirmed that the incorrect NSW address was provided to them by the supplier, and that only the supplier (The Block Shop) could correct the issue. I immediately contacted The Block Shop, but obviously now one is checking for urgent email or urgent call by now.

This has been extremely frustrating. I placed my order in good faith, provided the correct address, and now my items are marked as “delivered” when they are nowhere near me. I expect urgent action to either retrieve the items and deliver them to my correct WA address, or provide a full refund.

I am very disappointed by this experience and would strongly caution others to be aware of delivery issues and lack of urgency in resolving them.

UPDATED:

Although there was initially a mix-up with the tracking information, the issue ended up being resolved and the tables finally arrived. However, I think The Block Shop should consider using a different courier service. After the initial mistake, the courier didn’t update the tracking information online in time. My order was supposed to be delivered on the 16th of September, but it only arrived the week after, with no updates, so I started to worry again about why I wasn’t receiving it.

When they finally delivered, the courier didn’t call or text beforehand to confirm a time. After missing the first attempt, I had to reschedule and pay for another delivery. The delivery driver was kind but worked alone, so for heavy furniture like these bedside tables, you really need to organise extra help to bring them inside your home.

That said, the tables themselves are absolutely perfect — exactly like the photos, with a beautiful natural wood tone and excellent craftsmanship. The drawers slide smoothly, the finish is gorgeous, and they’ve added so much warmth and elegance to our bedroom.

Despite the delivery confusion, I’m very happy with the final product and would order from The Block Shop again.

Veneer table top starts bubbling – I bought a dining table. Nearly a year later the veneer top starts bubbling. I make a claim under warranty and they accuse me of not using the table properly?! What? I just use the table at dinner time. We put plates and cups on the table.

very happy with purchase – I ordered a large canvas print with a timber black frame around it (special order). It arrived promptly and I am very happy with it. The box had a ding in it but it was packed very well so it was perfect when it arrived. I felt the ordering, communication, delivery and the print itself was outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate ordering from them again

Beautiful – Just received my Lizzy Stageman artwork (the one from Ronnie & Georgia’s hallway) and I am beyond happy-print quality is so good my sister asked me if it was an original! The customer service Team was easy to deal with (especially Renee) reassuring me throughout the process and the artwork arrived faster than the quotes 4 week timeframe.

Delivery not received & No tracking – So far very disappointing. address via the so called tracking system. So I have one small box delivered that says it is 2 of 2 but absolutely zero idea of where 1 of 2 is. Why one chair needs to be split into 2 different boxes is another question. The whole thing is a debacle with no answers so far.

purchasing online , Customer Service (Caroline) has confirmed on the phone they still do not know when it will be delivered. There is no other information about ETA of the purchased item, due to apparently "their delivery partner not returning their calls nor providing information to them".

I find this quite a poor business model/process, that an outlet or company will not have any information with critical delivery timelines for their paying customers.

I purchased another item from Temple & Webster on the same date (16/03/24), and got the outdoor set delivered on Tuesday morning (19/03/24), in perfect condition.

If you do not want to experience uncertainty of when you can get the item you paid for, and if it will be in good condition, then I highly recommend to look elsewhere.

Never again with The Block Shop, and here is hoping I will get the item I paid for in perfect condition soon.

be informed that the artwork actually isn’t available and offered a refund. This meant that I was without an artwork and now couldn’t get another piece from another store for the same price as all the sales were finished.

To add to the issue I was told the block shop would assist with finding another artwork given the inconvenience. I found another artwork I liked but it was significantly cheaper at Oz Design furniture (about $390 at Oz Design compared to around $500 at block shop). I asked block shop to price match which they said they’d do but would still charge me $100 for shipping. Obviously we just bought from Oz Design.

Such a shame, experience was really negative and probably won’t bother buying from them again. I’d suggest others buy from a bigger online store to avoid all the issues.

Worst ever – I ordered 2 bar stools which they said would take 3 days to get, I got them 9 days later after them being dropped off at wrong address then going backwards and forwards by emails to sort the whole thing out I got them. Forget about trying to ask them to call you to sort a problem out as they won’t , it’s been the worst company I have ever dealt with and never again

Terrible at returns! – Broken tv cabinet on delivery, complete unusable, was replaced relatively quickly, but disappointing quality for price even at a discounted rate. 3 weeks on and countless emails, they are still refusing to pick up broken package for return! It’s not something small enough to just pop in your bin, easy returns? What a joke!

Worst buy – 1. Bedsheet set packaging was torn with a strong vomit smell of the bedsheet. 2. Bough (down inner) mattress protector & the down feathers came out of the protector so easily- they were everywhere, pocking out easily onto the bedsheet etc and sticking onto our clothes when lying. Had to throw it away along with our bedsheet as the feathers got stuck to it too.
