AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I've never dealt with such an unprofessional company of insurance and warranty cheats in my life. Very simple. Had a mates battery that came with the cullen 3500w bike, went faulty within 8 weeks and they have stopped answering replys after they asked for the old battery. So not only are they not standing true and honest to a… Read more
simple warranty battery replacement, they now have the old battery so there is nothing I can do to get his bike going. STAY AWAY!!!! I've uploaded images of the only correspondence i had, which is by email as I am thinking they do this all the time so they don't have a contact number. BUY A BIKE ELSEWHERE!!!
Cullen 50% bike – Have 2 of the 2000w 29 inch one is the first version ...still going well second battery had to fix .. I agree with everyone the company are had to get any help out of and or parts ..don't know why they are doing this ..motor is a good brush less one and control is reasonable ...battery cells are not samsung or Phillips but more a cheap knock off… Read more
and will not not last ..so ve prepare to change out cost about 450 ..and my mate brought one off ecay allibaba dodgey company with bent rim and they wouldn't fix or change a bit hit and miss ...!
Had a cullen fat tyre bike for 2yrs. Had no issues at all. Rides nice. Bearings in wheels are great it rolls easily. Motor is really powerful and battery lasts forever, had to read up on how to charge properly. Apparently battery must be turned on to charge if it's turned off the cells charge at different rates which affect life and power of… Read more
battery. Well that what google says. I should have gotten a 26inch instead of 28inch as I'm short and its really tall. Lol

Deliberate misrepresentation of product. Scammers – Poor packaging for transport. Bike damaged at delivery. Cullen will not respond unless you contact consumer protection. The controller on the cullen 1000w & 2000ws have been deliberately programmed into deceiving the user that they are traveling at a greater speed than they actually are. Tried & tested. Substandard quality. Battery voltage questionable. Ignores customers. Show details
Love my Cullen – I bought the Cullen C116 after a serious Motor Bike accident to get around. Battery issues mostly caused because I stacked it. But all in all for 2 years no issues. I get mine serviced as you would a bike. I do recommend the Cullen Brand Show details
Cullen fat bikes with no service quickly becomes a lemon – I have purchased the fat bike version. Has been running well upto 140km and then stopped. No help from any of the 3 Cullen outlets in Sydney. Now after much checking it would appear the controller has given up. Looking into it myself as none of the suppliers would help. (maybe they are afraid of customer service) , error 07 led me to originally… Read more
believe it was the motor. But later checked the controller and all mosfets have failed. The problem is if the suppliers won't help you have to order directly from China. You have no idea who Cullen gets its parts from making the whole procedure arduous. No backup at all turns a good bike into a lemon for most people.
Poor quality – This is the third e-bike I have purchased. It’s the worst I’ve ever owned. It can be dangerous as the motor won’t shut off when I stop at traffic lights. On many occasions the motor has just started without any warning and almost put me into moving traffic. The company never answers any emails and the battery may last around 33-35 klms while being… Read more
used very conservatively. The riding position is very uncomfortable and the parts are very cheap and nasty. Definitely would not recommend this product or buying anything from the company.

Cullen V3 – V3 is a good ebike it's very light, super quick with 21 gears, hydraulic brakes also comes with a USB adapter to charge ur phone or put LED lights on it Show details
Good bike hasn't let me down – I have the Cullen version 2, like other reviews the brakes are probably the weakest part., I've had the bike about a year and have replaced the brakes 4 times, apart from that it's been reliable , I've just passed 4200 km and not easy ones , hauling my weight and often towing a mate up some of the hills , .I think if I had thought about it… Read more
originally I would probably have gone for the version 3 with hydraulic brakes ,that being said , still a cheap fun ebike for the money
Great bike for the price – I found the bike and presales service excellent. It's my first ebike so nothing to compare with but there is a lot of power, the pedal assist works well and the Shimano great change is excellent. I'm going to buy another one for my wife Show details

Cullen Ebikes are a company full of thievery – My husband accidentally transferred $800 to this company, it was titled RENT. They have now decided 2 weeks before Christmas that they aren't going to return our money. We've spent over $2000 with this company previously. Do not buy from this company. Show details
Cullen E-bike- 2000w 48v 25ah – Purchased brand new from a seller in south west Sydney, 4 weeks ago. Two weeks and 134km into riding, the motor decides to stop working and error 09 shows up on screen. Now it vibrates when back wheel rolls. Was told upon purchase it came with a 3month warranty so am waiting for Monday to contact the seller to arrange for the bike to be brought… Read more
back and checked out. Contacted her as soon as it happeend but was told they weren't available that coming week and to contact them on Monday to arrange a date to bring the bike back.
Do I report her to consumer affairs/ department of fair trading if they refuse to honour the warranty?
Do I post her info where she advertises to warn others of my experience?

Quality is poor, specifications are fantasy, warranty does not exist and the worst customer service in retail history – These guys are the shonkiest operators I have ever come across. There is a reason they do not have a street address or even a phone number. First issue with this bike is that it is NOT a 1kW bike. It is a 750W bike which is still pretty good but if you went for the 2kW bike you might be a bit ticked to find that it too is a 750W bike (gleaned from… Read more
other reviews) that they charge more money for.. The seat broke first after a couple of months. Then the rear brake lever no longer builds up pressure on the hydraulic line, so no rear brake. The stand failed through metal fatigue (it is very thin sheet metal) within a few months. Most recently I noticed two spokes on the rear wheel have snapped off at the hub. That number grew to 6 spokes before I replaced them with spokes from ebay. If you are crazy enough to buy one of these bikes, know that you will need to adjust and tension the spokes to avoid them breaking. The seat I replaced myself at my own expense but for the brakes and spokes I went back to Cullen (because I bought it directly from them). They simply do not respond to any email that is not asking how to give them money. I needed new brake pads and they were happy to sell me those. Everything else, they do not want to know. I did think the bike was great value but it is not when you factor in that it has literally zero warranty and the quality of the bike means things will break. So figure that you will likely need to replace several parts of the bike at your own expense and those things are not exactly super cheap. From other reviews (I read too late) this will cost me probably another $500 to $800 if I only have to replace brakes and the gear shift levers and a few other incidentals like spokes and stand etc. If the motor or controller dies I could double the cost of the bike. Read the reviews. My story is common. All the places that claim Cullen have great friendly service, not one of them is a customer. Of all the reviews, how many are just good? And how many complain about Cullen for one reason or another? I would say, not terrible value compared to others, but not worth the experience. If you do go there, be prepared to be disappointed in several ways. The bike comes with literally zero documentation, zero customer support and zero care. As another reviewer said, "just buy something else".
Cheap, nasty, dangerous and deplorable after sales service. Do yourself a huge favour and buy a reputable brand – These bikes are cheap and nasty, the factory installed disc brake fell off on the second ride, the battery failed at 200 kays, the forks are so poor quality as to be dangerous on this bike. I contacted the seller Cullen27 @ebay about the battery and they just stopped replying. Ebay was no help. Do yourself a huge favour, save a little more & buy a reputable brand from a store, Cullen=Crap Show details
Terrible service – The bike is pretty good but the company is trash. Bike came with no instructions, my son lost the charger and now Cullen’s response when I asked how I can get another charger was literally, “this charger is out of stock “, that was it, nothing more and no hint as to when another charger might be available. If you buy one of these bikes don’t expect any help if something goes wrong. Show details
Good Bike but no support from seller – I bought mine on ebay July 2022 - 2000kw 52v 15amp for $1600.00 The bike itself looks great however, there are huge regrets. There was no instructions at all, the battery is faulty, dies at 10kms with three bars still showing green. Trying to contact the seller with no avail The digital display is way off - this bike does not go anywhere near… Read more
its advertised stats Buy at your own risk, you will get what they send you and there is FA you can do. Even Cullen E-Bikes Australia do not reply. My advice is to stay far away and that is a shame. For a first time ebike rider the experience was awesome but it did not last more than three short rides, expect absolutely no support from the seller. Regrettably I wasted my money on this one where there were so many other options. Back to square one.
Cullen E-Bike – Bike had issues after 100km, Should of read the Sellers reviews, Seller on EBAY cullen27 difficult to deal with ebay closed the case with out informing me will not assist. Ebay guarantee NIL, had to take multiple photos and get bike checked out so seller did try to charge me. bike still sitting in box to be picked up 3 month later $1550. and no… Read more
joy. Seller not communicating. Bike build is ok but if you have issues like me good luck in getting help.. Reported to ACCC
Great bike overall but company has no customer service – I purchased my ebike in June. Bike arrived with the carton damaged. While building the bike the instruction guide is missing key instructions and poorly written. The front brake caliper was leaking causing air in brake line. After multiple attempts to contact Cullen ebikes to ask for assistance I have not heard from the company to date Show details
Best value for money – I have 2 of these, one with 3500kms and the other has just clocked 7000kms today. Motor still running perfectly. I also ride them in rain and the bike just does not give af. Show details
Avoid these bikes! – The bike malfunctioned after using it for one day. Seller refused to give me a refund. Poor quality, I would definitely recommend buying something else. Stay away from this brand! Show details

Ride further and enjoy more – 52 ks on first ride only used 1 bar of power. 100 ks or more on full battery i reckon. 15AH. Easily ascended hills. Used mainly on power assist 3. Played with throttlea bit as was first ride. Show details
Great Value however needs some enhancements – I'd give it a 4.5 if it was an option, as its a brilliant bike. I have had my V2 15 Ah for 5/6 Months now and its has been brilliant, however not without issues. The biggest issue was the breaks, the stock break system for someone of my size (6'5 and 120 Kgs) was completely useless. I added a new system, but as the breaks are integrated with the… Read more
gears i had to also purchase new gear leavers, all up it cost me just shy of $400 (with labour). Now i have upgraded the breaks i rate my bike a solid 5. I can pull a solid 50+ kmph at top speed. The forks are fine for basic commuting (even for me). The bike looks like something that would cost 3 or 4 times what you pay at a bricks and mortar bike shop.
Great setup, put together well – No trouble with mine so far. Used as a commuter. Only got 150kms so far. Got one with hydraulic disc brakes RSX brand, easy to buy spares. Centre up disc easy with adjustment. Forks are a bit average, but can't be picky at such a great price. Seller was fine to me, answered questions I had. All round great ebike. Show details
Cullen V3 - all good so far – The bikes seem to be well made with good components. Time will tell, I'm sure. We bought two for us and our kids (when they're allowed to leave Sydney) to cycle around the Hunter Valley. I've put around 100kms on it so far. It was easy to assemble, for me anyway. I'm mechanically inclined and as a kid was always taking my bikes apart. For others… Read more
without this experience it may prove problematic as instructions are not great. Having 21 gears seems overkill unless you're going to use it off-road as we just leave it in top gear. On power setting 3 it seems to go fine without too much effort at speeds of 25kph. I use 1-3 most of the time to ensure that there is some pedal effort and maybe 4-5 when going up a steep hill and feeling lazy.
Setting 5, pedalling hard and straight / slight downhill I hit 62kph before backing off but you're pedalling quickly.
Range - not sure yet but I reckon 50km should be easily attainable.
Best ebike – I purchased 2 of these for myself and my wife. We’re happy bought our first bike. The motor , battery accessories shimano are made with quality components. Cullen Bike are easy to deal . I recommend one for your 1st ebike no worries all round fantastic Ebike. The price are affordable. Cheers Show details
Dont know how I survived without this – One of my best purchases of 2021, gets me to work, home and the gym with ease and the customer service was AAA+ I highly recommend this the product and the company.
Cullen E bike 1000w a lot of bike for the money – Have only had the bike for a week and are very happy. Picked it up from the shop in Sydney took it home charged it up and started blasting my way around the streets here in the Northern Beaches. If you were to buy the parts on eBay to make your own bike you would be spending around $1000 plus your time and you need a bike. So these things are a… Read more
good deal to get you on the road cheap. How long will it last? not sure but after looking into it seems if you keep them dry don't over work the motor and keep the battery around 80% charge maybe take it to 100% just before you use it. there's a good chance you will get your moneys worth. And they can save you money if you're not driving the car. Plus its just fun. I did 30km fast using both legs and the top power mode today on one charge with still some power in the battery before it was put on charge. Average speed would be around 35km up hill with top speed of 55km down hill. This was a test I wouldn't go that hard normally. The power comes on quick so when you are starting off for the first time start on the lower setting. hope this helps Jason
Just buy something else – Bought the Version 1 Cullen bicycle with 48v 13 amp battery six months ago. Upon arrival was very well boxed and was delivered fast. Easy to assemble and worked well out of the box. Looked good too. I put my own soft sprung seat on it to my preference. To be fair I use the bike as transport and not for bicycling per se. I have already clocked… Read more
2000k's up on it. The average person would not use it like I use mine as a daily commuter. The performance is excellent.
The shortcomings of the bike are numerous however. The frame and welding are okay. The brakes wear quickly and have a funny rubber mount that quickly makes them useless and hard to adjust. My rear derailleur simply sprung apart one day. The front disc hub mount is made of so soft a metal, that the disc spins freely and therefore does not work at all, and this is quite a shock when it happens as it of course fails as you are braking! The only remedy was to replace the front wheel and the brakes Front and Rear and have a new derailleur fitted. The problem here is that as the bike is made in it's own factory, non standard measurements are used and all parts had to specifically sought or made and adjusted to suit the frame. This caused my local bike shop mechanic to lose his mind and demand I never darken his doorstep with that brand of bike again. However he did a great job of redesigning and reassembly with sundry disparate parts and I'm still very happy to use the bike daily, now that it is safe. However six months in the battery failed and I requested a replacement or at least a cost price replacement so Cullen would not be out of pocket and I would have a new battery. Nothing doin! He simply replied with a "we only have a 3 month warranty" and so you can have a new one for $350 full price!
Now when the aforementioned issues arose; brakes, discs etc, appeals for help are replied too but nothing eventuates, so you go make your own repair arrangements or just bin the bike. So when he refused my appeal of a free or at cost replacement battery replacement, I threatened him with Consumer Affairs and reminded him that Australian law protects consumers, so what did he do? He simply stopped replying. Total silence. I did not contact Consumer Affairs as I couldn't be bothered and life is too short and when I contacted them on prior matters found them useless. Life goes On.
I am happy with my Cullen bike and was happy to pay $690 in repairs to have it brought up to a safe spec. You may not be so happy to do so. I am two grand into this bike and am still happy with that as brand name ebikes go $4k to $12k. I will buy a new battery but not from Cullen as they don't deserve my (or probably your) business. Remember you will be buying a low quality frame with inferior in house brand accessories. For light infrequent use it will be okay but nothing more. You will be unsupported and left out to dry when it goes wrong. It's a shame because I wish Cullen well and hope in time they support their product, but until then don't bother. Steve of Townsville
