Gold Coast despite having many salons closer to me, and referred many friends and mums because I genuinely trusted and loved this salon before.
Unfortunately, over the past year I noticed a decline in workmanship and lash retention.
The final straw was my 2 May appointment for a hybrid full set and brow sculpt/tint worth around $220. Due to an M1 accident delay, I called ahead to advise I would arrive about 20 minutes late. When I arrived, nobody informed me the service would be rushed, shortened, or incomplete, and no option to reschedule was discussed.
Only AFTER the appointment, when I asked to properly check the lashes myself, I was told the technician “only did what she could for the time.”
The lashes were sparse, incomplete, and nowhere near a proper hybrid full set, yet I was still charged in full. Both lashes and brows were completed in almost an hour total, which is unusually fast for a proper hybrid set alone.
This was also not my first issue here. Previously, I had already needed to return because lashes were falling out excessively within days, and I was even told at one point poor retention may have been caused by improper prep before application.
While complimentary fixes were offered, repeatedly returning for corrections was stressful and difficult as a stay-at-home mum juggling childcare, school schedules, long travel, and family logistics.
After I finally left a 1-star review, Mel personally called asking me to remove it and reassured me the lashes would be fixed, so I agreed and removed the review. Unfortunately, due to traffic, family logistics, and my toddler’s medical needs, I later missed the follow-up appointment despite genuinely trying to make it. After that, the owner decided to “amicably part ways” with me as a client and refunded the service instead.
While I appreciate the refund and polite communication, it was still hurtful to feel discarded after years of loyalty, referrals, and continued support despite repeated workmanship issues.
To make things worse, even though the lashes already looked sparse from the beginning, within less than two weeks they were practically gone despite proper aftercare. I constantly found lash extensions falling around the house, and the brow tint also faded unusually quickly.
At the end of the day, this review is not about money. It is about workmanship, communication, accountability, and how loyal long-term customers are treated.
I dont know who leaves 5 star ratings. Maybe their friends and coworkers. I tried this place over and over again and I will never ever come back. Had them buthcer my eyelashes and then do a half job on my eyebrows. They did try to fix the mistake once but with with a very fast fix up. It's like a drive through fast food. Waste of my $240.

moment I walked through the door until the moment Ieft. From drinks and treats on arrival, to bringing me a blanket while waiting for my appointment to begin, then being tucked into the cosy bed while getting my lashes and brows done. Then I got a hand and arm massage during the treatment!
I'm usually a 'book once to check it out' kind of person so I don't often visit one business more than once, but I just can't book anywhere else from now on. There's plenty of places that do good lashes and brows on the Gold Coast (and I'd say The Lash Spa is one of the best) - but where nobody comes close is the service they provide - it's just on another level, even compared to 5 star hotels or luxury day spas.
So many complimentary extras, I left as a huge fan – I went as a new client a few months ago and had a simply incredible experience. walked through the door, I could smell the vanilla fragrance while walking towards the salon from down the street!
I checked in and had a lychee lemon tea with a lychee cloud on top which was a magical start to the whole thing. I then had a complimentary foot spa and was shown into my lash room where I was tucked into cosy blankets and after a few minutes the music on the speaker changed to a track alerting me that someone was about to come in and give me a hand massage, which was so soothing! I then became so relaxed that I fell asleep while getting my lashes done! I've never had that happen before. I woke up towards the end when my lashes were being gently fanned. They looked incredible - thank you to Keah!
They also did a complimentary brow gel to shape my brows and complete the look.
This is the only place I'll ever be going, and it was just far more than I was expecting, but so glad I chose this place.

a long time past your booking at other places. The appointment itself was just so relaxing and gentle that I fell asleep which seems unusual since there's someone working on your eyes, but it gives you an idea of just how relaxing it really is.
I was gently woken at the end and shown my lashes which to top off the whole experience were incredible.
I've since bought some gift cards for Christmas for friends of mine who need to get The Lash Spa into their lives!
Highly recommended.
Relax while getting the best lashes – I always have an amazingly relaxing time at The Lash Spa and walk away with incredible lashes too! It's the treat I look forward too where I get a beauty service done while getting totally pampered. I really love the fact that they have private rooms which makes it feel much more luxurious. I've sent dozens of friends there, and they're all regulars now like me!
So relaxing I fall asleep at every visit! – Always have a fantastic experience getting my lash extensions and brows done at The Lash Spa. You walk in and it's just like a blissful paradise - every aspect is totally relaxing. The lash application is so gentle and the lash tables are so comfortable that I fall asleep every time - I actually snore! Then you wake up and get handed the mirror... and wow! The lashes are just stunning every time and they last so incredibly well.

As a first-time customer, they surprised me with a complimentary foot soak, under eye mask and hand massage! It was such a lovely touch and really added to the experience.

even the toilet key is pink and matches the rest of the divine salon. It feels like a luxury spa and not an ordinary salon. This is truly an amazing experience and highly recommended to anyone looking for lash extensions. I will certainly be going back and will be bringing my mother with me next time.
Wish I could give 10 stars! Exceptional experience today – I received a gift voucher for my birthday for a brow lamination and full set of light/hybrid lashes. I am absolutely in love with the results. Thank you to the friendly receptionist who poured me a glass of bubbles and made up a warm flower petal foot soak while I waited. they were sparce. Less than a week later, most had fallen out, so I went elsewhere to get a brand new set. Also being a new client was offered some amazing sounding freebies, which they forgot! Not a great first impression. And wasted a crap load of money. Extremeley disappointed. (And ripped off).

Amazing salon! Would not go anywhere else – I found this beautiful salon through a recommendation from a friend. I am now a loyal customer for both eyelash extensions and brow lamination. The service is outstanding! You are always greeted with a smiling face & the services are performed in your own private treatment room. Most relaxing salon who think of everything! – They think of absolutely everything - from free champagne and cookies on arrival to a relaxing private room. I started visiting for the brow results but am now a regular for the relaxation perks. The whole experience is divine!

look 'stupid' by having really long lashes. I just wanted a bit of volume. I explained the same thing to the young girl who did my lashes. I asked her where she did her training. It was some weekend course in the Beenleigh area (near Logan). She also did another quick course somewhere for a week or so I think. She took a fair while doing my lashes (about 1.5 hrs). When I looked in the hand mirror she gave me (it was really dark in there), my lashes were appalling! All looked the thinness of 'ordinary' lashes with no volume at all, and they were all up to the middle of my eyebrows!!! I could not put my glasses on & I could 'see' the lashes in my upper vision! There was also glue everywhere & my eyelashes were stuck together. I had to ask her to remove them! She left the room & another very young girl came in & started to attempt to remove the lashes. They were glued down & my eyes were 'red raw' at the end of it all & stinging. I had paid a $40 BOOKING FEE! So I asked for that to be refunded. I went somewhere else a few days later that is a very reputable training academy where I have gone before a few times. The owner did my lashes. She has trained all over the world, including Paris & USA. She told me that I had 'missing' lashes that had obviously been 'ripped out' when the 2nd girl tried to remove the lashes. I came out of there very traumatised, stinging, sore eyes with 'gaps'. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I asked to speak to the manager but they refused saying they didn't have one, just two 'salon co-ordinators'.
