( she told me the name of previous manager who had left ages ago ) total bullies the way I was harrased and bullied today left me utterly shocked . That lady should not be treating humans in any capacity . No manager for ages now . When enquired about who to send the feedback / grievances too , they say they don't have any contact details of anyone ? She literally raised her voice at me and called me names . This place is a total joke and a scam .kindly stay away .

I was offered a complimentary treatment, but the proposed treatment did not seem to address my concerns. I was unwell and had not been given clear appointment details or the clinic address in the booking email, where I expected to find it. When I could not attend, I was told the offer was withdrawn and could not be rescheduled.

I felt dismissed rather than supported in resolving a result I was unhappy with. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this clinic in Westfield Doncaster.

I was told that I was supposed to arrive around 10 minutes earlier and that they could no longer provide the service.

If you require customers to arrive at 3:15 PM or even 3:00 PM, then why confirm the appointment as 3:25 PM? This should have been clearly communicated beforehand.

I wasted my time travelling there only to be turned away despite arriving at the confirmed appointment time. What made the experience even worse was the attitude of the staff. Instead of trying to help or find a solution, they seemed to find the situation amusing and simply told me I could come back another time.

Very poor customer service and absolutely no consideration for a customer's time. Based on this experience, I would not use this business again.

lip twice. 2 taps with the laser. I had alot of facial hair that's why I brought 3 x full face treatments but she only did my lip twice. When I said something about it being unfair & not what I paid for I was told I should just purchase the lip laser treatment from here on. So buying a full face laser treatment doesn't mean that you will receive a full face laser treatment the staff only treat what they are capable of seeing. After a few spots being missed during a full leg laser treatment I was asked to present back in clinic to inspect once the missed spots were sighted she offered to retreat me which involved a dry shave. A large patch of hair was missed during being dry shaved & during my laser treatment. A "we will fix it" appointment were you would normally bring your A game because you are trying to prove your business is capable of doing what you paid for originally. When I sent photos of the terrible fix up job to management I was told it was normal hormonal hair growth. I said no it's not as it was my 6th session and never had my legs looked this awful. I went in clinic to show her & was still told that it was normal hormonal hair growth. Left leg smooth with very few random hairs right leg half lasered half hairy looking like it only received laser on half of it. It looked much worse then the laser treatment that I had originally complained about. Silk laser advertises you will leave the clinic silky smooth after treatment there is no fine print on hormonal hair growth. Certainly not hormonal hair growth down half of only one leg. So you can spend hundreds of dollars on laser treatments & if it doesn't work silk laser Townsville will just say it's due to hormonal hair growth so be warned.

pure shock at the lack of basic professional standards here. I went in a blonde with one very clear, specific rule: stay blonde, do not go brown. I even made sure they understood it. I walked out with dark brown, muddy, chemically fried hair.

​It’s the lack of care that gives you the ick. To sit in a chair and be so clear about your identity, only for a "professional" to do the exact thing you told them would ruin your self-esteem, is honestly creepy. It felt like they weren't even listening to the person in the chair.

​The worst part is the damage. My hair doesn't feel like hair anymore; it feels like straw. When I tried to get them to take responsibility for ignoring the brief and trashing my hair, they just didn't want to know. It’s a total lack of integrity.

​If you care about your hair’s health or actually getting the colour you pay for, stay well away. They’ve managed to make me feel completely washed out and pale, and they don't seem to care one bit that they've caused this. Absolute cowboys. Avoid at all costs.

supported for years, but after everything that happened, I feel my experience deserves to be shared honestly.

I had been a loyal customer for several years, spent thousands over time, travelled from northern Gold Coast despite having many salons closer to me, and referred many friends and mums because I genuinely trusted and loved this salon before.

Unfortunately, over the past year I noticed a decline in workmanship and lash retention.

The final straw was my 2 May appointment for a hybrid full set and brow sculpt/tint worth around $220. Due to an M1 accident delay, I called ahead to advise I would arrive about 20 minutes late. When I arrived, nobody informed me the service would be rushed, shortened, or incomplete, and no option to reschedule was discussed.

Only AFTER the appointment, when I asked to properly check the lashes myself, I was told the technician “only did what she could for the time.”

The lashes were sparse, incomplete, and nowhere near a proper hybrid full set, yet I was still charged in full. Both lashes and brows were completed in almost an hour total, which is unusually fast for a proper hybrid set alone.

This was also not my first issue here. Previously, I had already needed to return because lashes were falling out excessively within days, and I was even told at one point poor retention may have been caused by improper prep before application.

While complimentary fixes were offered, repeatedly returning for corrections was stressful and difficult as a stay-at-home mum juggling childcare, school schedules, long travel, and family logistics.

After I finally left a 1-star review, Mel personally called asking me to remove it and reassured me the lashes would be fixed, so I agreed and removed the review. Unfortunately, due to traffic, family logistics, and my toddler’s medical needs, I later missed the follow-up appointment despite genuinely trying to make it. After that, the owner decided to “amicably part ways” with me as a client and refunded the service instead.

While I appreciate the refund and polite communication, it was still hurtful to feel discarded after years of loyalty, referrals, and continued support despite repeated workmanship issues.

To make things worse, even though the lashes already looked sparse from the beginning, within less than two weeks they were practically gone despite proper aftercare. I constantly found lash extensions falling around the house, and the brow tint also faded unusually quickly.

At the end of the day, this review is not about money. It is about workmanship, communication, accountability, and how loyal long-term customers are treated.

Permanently scarred face from a harmless laser procedure. Do not go near this completely unprofessional salon.

I expected the team to be professional, welcoming, and attentive to my needs, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Please be aware that this company takes you money upfront but doesn’t let you before the voucher expires .I believe this a scam when purchasing packages. hair. I was quoted $420. After approximately 4½ hours, I left with wet hair, dye stained on my face, missed greys and eventually paid $300. The next day I discovered significant breakage, including hair breaking only centimetres from my scalp, greys left uncoloured and chemically BURNT hair. The foils alone took around 2½ hours, with multiple batches of bleach mixed. A trainee applied my root colour so poorly that dye ended up about 2cm onto my face and ears while grey hairs at my temples were actually missed. Worse, I am in a wheelchair. After 3 hours in the chair I explained that I desperately needed the toilet and specifically asked for someone to help wheel me there while I was covered in foils, colour, loose hair and a salon cape. I was told someone would help. Nobody did. When I complained the next day, I was told, “Well, you could have gone if you needed to.” I wasn't asking permission — I needed physical assistance! The salon itself was chaotic unclean – no one was sweeping up and dye spilt on the lino floors, towel left draped. I personally watched another booked customer wait so long that she eventually got up and walked out. Other customers were turned away. I also watched staff move clients from the front salon area to the back to continue their hair out of view. It honestly looked like naughty schoolchildren trying not to be seen. And the colour? I asked for brown hair with blonde highlights. Instead, my entire head was made substantially lighter (no technique) with virtually no discernible contrast from the foils and CHEMICALLY FRIED AFTER HOURS OF BLEACH IN THE HAIR. When I returned the next day with frizzed, breaking hair and complained, the stylist and manager insisted the colour was what I had asked for. It wasn't. I asked for my $300 back. They refused. No satisfactory resolution, no meaningful acknowledgement of the breakage (“well you had breakage before anyway”!), and my complaint about being left without bathroom assistance was diminished and dismissed. Bad colour, significant breakage, terrible customer service and, in my experience, no discernible management when something goes wrong. I will NEVER return to S+S Hair Carindale and absolutely cannot recommend them based on my experience. To the Stylist: The reason that your hands are shaking like you are on the epicentre of an earthquake, if because you have chosen to plaster your body with heavy lead inks for all over body tattoos, a face full of metal and ear studs and spacers (more metal poisoning) and chemically bleached hair so that you can colour it BRIGHT BLUE (Pssst super poisonous!) = you have early onset Parkinson’s honey.
