Don't buy from North Face online unless you are happy to wait 3 or more weeks from Australia Post date of delivery OF RETURN for refund. Their service is appalling. Show details
I bought a North Face Stretch Down Hoody in June 2022 directly from The North Face Australia for around $500. Less than three years later, both the chest logo and the “700” sleeve print started peeling off — despite careful washing, cold cycle only, and always air-drying. For a premium jacket at this price point, I expect durability. Cheaper… Read more
jackets I own have lasted far longer without visible failure.
What’s most disappointing is the customer service. The North Face promotes a “Limited Lifetime Warranty” that “covers defects in materials and workmanship for the practical lifetime of the product.” They also claim their gear is built for “a lifetime of exploration.” These words create the expectation that you’re buying gear that lasts.
But when I submitted a claim, I was told peeling logos were “normal wear and tear” and that three years of use is a “reasonable life expectancy” for a $500 down jacket. They even clarified that “lifetime warranty does not mean your lifetime.” This feels deliberately misleading. The warranty sounds strong on paper, but in practice it’s just marketing spin.
For a brand that positions itself at the top of the outdoor market, this was a let-down. The quality didn’t hold up, the warranty is hollow, and the service dismissive. If you’re considering paying premium prices for The North Face because of the supposed durability and warranty, think twice.

Lifetime warranty - nope not at all – Bought a VE 25 tent with a lifetime warranty. After 10 years the porthole fell off. Went through the warranty process. After a long time they came back with “this product is outside of its lifetime, no warranty will be given as it appears used” Well yes, that’s right it was used, these tents will last a lifetime with the right care, and nothing… Read more
else is wrong with my tent, other than the use of inferior glue to attach the porthole to the fabric. But somehow this is my fault according to the excuses given by TNF.
So no warranty was given. Considering these tents are high-end mountaineering tents that cost over $1000 aud, I would have expected this issue to be warranted.
Its a case of - we talk a bit game - on TNF website they state they are still “helping people maintain their sleeping bags from the 70’s”
If so - why can’t you help a customer with a legit problem with a tent?
I’ll tell you why - because requires doing a proper job, not just writing some fluff on a website.
Buy something else if you want warranty. Buy something else if you want it to last.
Poor quality and worse service – I agree with all the negative comments here about the north face lined waterproof jackets. The lining just disintegrates and North Face reject claim because they said I didn’t wash it enough. Who washes rain jackets anyway?
Bad Quality - Rain Jacket – I recently had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with The North Face AU, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn potential buyers about the quality of their products and the disappointing customer service I received. I purchased the North Face Venture 2 DryVent Green Rain Jacket (SKU: 00654130) for a premium price of $220. To my… Read more
dismay, the jacket's lining began delaminating after what I consider normal wear and tear. Naturally, I contacted The North Face AU Online Customer Care on November 27, 2023, seeking assistance.
Their initial response insisted on proof of purchase, either in the form of a receipt or bank statement. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate this documentation, and this seemingly became a roadblock to resolving what should have been a straightforward matter.
After providing clear images of the defect, the response on November 30, 2023, shocked me. I was told that delamination is considered normal wear and tear, and the deterioration is not covered under warranty. This, despite the premium price tag and my expectation of better quality from a reputed brand.
Subsequent communication on December 6, 2023, confirmed that The North Face AU would not provide a refund or replacement, citing the issue as not covered by the warranty policy. This lack of flexibility and understanding has left me deeply disappointed.
I am sharing this review as a cautionary tale for potential buyers. Be aware that seeking assistance for faulty products from The North Face AU might lead to frustrating experiences and unhelpful responses from their customer service team.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise potential buyers to consider this before making any purchases from The North Face AU. The quality and customer service I experienced have significantly undermined my confidence in this brand.

it. Not worth the Money. I would expect this from a Kmart product. Makes me reluctant to spent the $$ on anything North Face if they can't get a beanie correct....... Took 2+ Weeks to arrive and Went from Sydney-Brisbane-Adelaide-Melbourne-Brisbane
Customer service is non-existent | Delivery delayed over one month – Non-existent Customer services. Make sure, if you are going to buy from them, that you buy with over 1 month time. Also don't expect to have any sort of support if you need it. I tried to email, call, social, and no answer but automated answers.
Customer service was very poor – AusPost has returned the item to their warehouse due to an AusPost mistaken delivery and they wrote a wrong email telling me item has been delivered to me. I have been unable to reach them for more than a week!!! Phone call get cut-off, no email reply, no online enquiry reply. They simply disappeared. I have never received my item. Customer service was very poor.
Great Fit and very functional – I ordered the Men's Paramount Active Pant online from the official THE NORTH FACE Australia online shop. The fit is good. The color looks great for outdoor use for it does not attract dirt easily. Very functional. I love the zip pocket on the right side. It fits a large screen phone on a bulky case. Very light. Great for any outdoor activities. I bit cold for chilly mornings. Overall it is a good pants. Show details
