installed it not level. Replacement shower base and screen- screen was measured 3 times on different occasions- screen arrived, wrong size had to be reordered. Leak- shower screen leaked, new staff came to rectify, said it was sealed wrong due to narrow gap between vanity which should not have been installed until screen was done. Leak was repaired but rough messy silicon finish, lumps and metal shards in clear silicone looks like mildew. Invoicing- non itemised invoice. I requested itemised invoice 6 times over a month (legally should be provided within 7 days of request), still not received. Got quote for additional work to supply and install replacement toilet, not including removal of existing toilet... $1990! Got it done elsewhere for $750. Give them a miss

Excellent work for a number of jobs by the tradies onsite. However, as far as our insurance claim is concerned, after months, we are still having both parties i.e. The Plumbing Gang provide a quote or tax invoice that only relates to the shower screen component of the repairs that will satisfy APIA and therefore to approve our claim.

Be very cautious if you don't have trade or plumbing knowledge before accepting quotes here. Only after checking standard retail pricing did I see the scale of the markups:

• Boundary PRV Valve: Charged $863.81 (Retail price for the exact model: ~$76) • Garden Tap: Charged $434.19 (Retail price at Bunnings: ~$20) ​ The entire job took roughly one hour, resulting in nearly $1,500 (including call out fee as well) for under $100 in basic hardware.

When I asked for an itemized invoice showing labor rates vs. materials under Australian Consumer Law, they refused to provide one. ​Do not rely on a single lump-sum quote if you don't know exact plumbing part prices—get a second quote from a local independent plumber first to protect yourself.

Based on my disappointing experience, I would not recommend their services.

The plumbing gang were excellent when they came to my house. Very hard working group who knew what they were doing and were quick and efficient. Their young plumber Oliver was also seemed well above his years and very confident in what he was doing as well. Great customer service would recommend to anyone!

Very impressed by the work from the crew. Harry the apprentice stood out to me as someone who was strongly passionate and willing within his work. Harry showed strong professionalism, patience and ability. Would strongly recommend this company

Harry the apprentice plumber was polite, hardworking, and eager to help throughout the job. He showed a great attitude, paid attention to detail, and was always willing to learn. It’s clear he’s committed to developing his skills and providing good service. A credit to the team, and I wish him all the best in his plumbing career.

Absolutely the worst plumbers out there. I organised and paid (call out fee) for a quotation for a bathroom refurb. They still (2.5 weeks later) have not supplied the quotation. Avoid Avoid Avoid this is the most money hungry company i have seen take your funds and dont supply the service - Update they called and offered me a refund to remove review. Denied.

Shower screen installation was quoted, contracted, and paid for in full upfront, with a “guaranteed” 7–10 business day installation timeframe. The job is now well overdue and far outside the original 7–10 working day guarantee.

When they finally arrived, they turned up hours late, completed roughly 25% of the job, then left saying they’d return the next day. They came back three days later and supposedly “completed” the work.

The "finished" job is rough, and now water pours across the floor and floods the bathroom every time the shower is used. I seriously question whether the installation even complies with Australian standards.

To make matters worse, I’m now still stuck in the ongoing cycle of calls and messages trying to get the issues rectified and the job properly completed.

I’m 33 years old and have never left a Google review before, but this experience was bad enough to warrant one. Extremely unprofessional from start to finish.

Also worth noting that although there are plenty of 5-star Google reviews, there also seems to be multiple new 5-star reviews appearing every single day, which does look somewhat suspicious.

Happy to amend or remove this review if the outstanding issues are properly resolved, but at this stage I would not recommend The Plumbing Gang.

We asked this company to come out to inspect a blocked kitchen sink. The guy spent 3 seconds checking out drainage before starting to not other minor faults in plumbing such as stiff mixers. to so he could find the issue and went around telling us every single plumbing fixture was faulty and would need to be replaced. He then sat in his car for 50 minutes writing a quote. When he finally came back in, the quote was over $4000 and he couldn’t guarantee it would fix the problem as he hadn’t put a camera in. By this point it was two late for his to do the work or us to get anyone else, before a weekend, with a still blocked kitchen sink. Seems like a bit of a scam to get paid $100 for no work and price themselves out of anyone wanting them to do the job.

Phenomenal service! Ashlea was a pleasure to deal with and had a technician out within an hour to replace my hot water unit and finally have hot water after 2 days. Great service all the way through. Will recommend to everyone!

Amazing service! Ashlea was very helpful on the phone and Chris was very professional and informative when he arrived to fix our water leak. Will be using this company for all future plumbing issues!
