The Plumbing Gang

The plumbing gang were excellent when they came to my house. Very hard working group who knew what they were doing and were quick and efficient. Their young plumber Oliver was also seemed well above his years and very confident in what he was doing as well. Great customer service would recommend to anyone!

Very impressed by the work from the crew. Harry the apprentice stood out to me as someone who was strongly passionate and willing within his work. Harry showed strong professionalism, patience and ability. Would strongly recommend this company

Harry the apprentice plumber was polite, hardworking, and eager to help throughout the job. He showed a great attitude, paid attention to detail, and was always willing to learn. It’s clear he’s committed to developing his skills and providing good service. A credit to the team, and I wish him all the best in his plumbing career.

Phenomenal service! Ashlea was a pleasure to deal with and had a technician out within an hour to replace my hot water unit and finally have hot water after 2 days. Great service all the way through. Will recommend to everyone!

rescheduling. Every missed appointment came with another excuse.

The job is now well overdue and far outside the original 7–10 working day guarantee.

When they finally arrived, they turned up hours late, completed roughly 25% of the job, then left saying they’d return the next day. They came back three days later and supposedly “completed” the work.

The "finished" job is rough, and now water pours across the floor and floods the bathroom every time the shower is used. I seriously question whether the installation even complies with Australian standards.

To make matters worse, I’m now still stuck in the ongoing cycle of calls and messages trying to get the issues rectified and the job properly completed.

I’m 33 years old and have never left a Google review before, but this experience was bad enough to warrant one. Extremely unprofessional from start to finish.

Also worth noting that although there are plenty of 5-star Google reviews, there also seems to be multiple new 5-star reviews appearing every single day, which does look somewhat suspicious.

Happy to amend or remove this review if the outstanding issues are properly resolved, but at this stage I would not recommend The Plumbing Gang.

We asked this company to come out to inspect a blocked kitchen sink. The guy spent 3 seconds checking out drainage before starting to not other minor faults in plumbing such as stiff mixers. to so he could find the issue and went around telling us every single plumbing fixture was faulty and would need to be replaced. He then sat in his car for 50 minutes writing a quote. When he finally came back in, the quote was over $4000 and he couldn’t guarantee it would fix the problem as he hadn’t put a camera in. By this point it was two late for his to do the work or us to get anyone else, before a weekend, with a still blocked kitchen sink. Seems like a bit of a scam to get paid $100 for no work and price themselves out of anyone wanting them to do the job.

The booking was to camera and jet blast a potentially blocked storm water drain. The call out fee of $88 included a complementary plumbing inspection to the house which I thought was good until I saw the quote of over $2000 to replace some very minor items that most home owners have capabilities of doing themselves. flag for me to cancel works but I wanted my storm water drain cleared. They quoted $895 + GST for the drain which had to be paid up front before starting works. They found a section of pipe that was slightly squashed about 13m away from the entry point and wanted to quote me to cut up the driveway, excavate and replace that 13m length of pipe plus an additional 9m when the blocked section of pipe was below turf and not the driveway. Following me denying them of providing me more quotes, they packed up and asked me to leave them a 5 Star review as they get a bonus each month, which explains why they’re all 5 Star reviews bar the odd bad/true experience. When I asked about the cleaning of the mud/slurry sprayed on the front of my house and driveway, they asked me how I expect them to clean it up without washing it back down the drain. I suggested a wet vacuum but they don’t carry this equipment to clean up. It wasn’t until they left and I started the clean up myself that I realised that the storm water drain was still half full of dirt/mud & leaves. I’ve since had a licensed Plumber quote me nearly $1500 less to replace the minor items raised in the complimentary inspection. This explains how they make over $200K annually plus bonuses.

Great service from start to finish. The team was professional and arrived on time. Olly was especially friendly and helpful.

Fractured waste pipe - I was totally impressed with this company from start to finish. Customer service was excellent. Mitchell came and evaluated the work, gave us a quote, and then completed the repair from start to finish. Mitchell even called a day after the work was completed to ensure we were satisfied with the results. A big thank you to you for sorting it all out for us. Highly recommend!
