Very average, I won't buy any Thin Lizzy products again

Do not buy this product if you want value for money!
Thin Lizzy will only stand behind the product if it still under warranty (which says a lot about the quality). I approached Thin Lizzy as I have only used it a maximum of 10 times and only started using in 11/22. It started not working by 05/23 and stopped working completely by 11/23. I brought this at a 'Post-Covid special rate & it now retails for NZ$170. I have brought a new cord with same results where it just short circuits. I expected a higher quality from a reputable brand and a better response than "it's out of warranty". My previous hair curler lasted 15 years and my hair straightener is still working after 10 years of consistent use. Show details

Don’t waste your money

This product is rubbish. As I read other reviews I see many people have the same issue. The product works for a while but soon stops charging altogether and is useless. I’ve had 2 replacements. Same problem each time. It’s very disappointing. Today it goes in the bin! I will NEVER go near this piece of junk again. Show details

Turns off within seconds on full charge

Reading through all reviews - everyone having the same issue. It is clear there is a defect with this product. On full charge cannot be used because it turns off - constantly - within seconds. This is a major defect and under Australian Consumer Law this is a breach. There should be a class action because EVERYONE seems to be experiencing the same issue. For a product costing over $100 this is completely unacceptable. Show details

Waste of money

This curler has only been used once before it stopped heating. It only turns on when plugged in and keeps turning off within seconds. This is not something i expected when paying over $100 for a product. Show details

Lasted a year

I had my Curler for just over and year and in that time it was fabulous but now it has stopped working and doesn’t even heat up any more :(( Such a waste of money! You can buy curlers for $20 that last just as long if not longer. So disappointing. Show details

Disappointed

Im having the same issue:
I've only used this "Thin Lizzy U Curl" 3 times and all of a sudden it has stopped charging.
It has been charging for hours! And will only display one battery charge line.
When I go to use it, it keeps switching off.
I try to use it while plugged in but the same thing happens - keeps switching off and battery won't actually charge.
I don't have the receipt as it was a gift for Christmas.

My mother purchased 3 - my sister AND sister-in-law have experienced the exact same issue...
Respectfully, this is a horrible product that obviously has faulty supplies hence the amount of people with the same issue. Show details

The Thin Lizzy AutoCurler is a cordless, single barrel curler designed to make curling hair fast and easy.

Features:

  • The curler is multipurpose, you can make tight or loose curls
  • 6 heat settings and 4 timer settings
  • Two way rotation, can position curls left and right
  • A safety guard is in place so you don’t burn yourself while trying to curl your hair

At $169.99, this curler is a cheaper alternative to other big brands, an option for if you want to try out a curler for the first time but don’t want to spend too much money. Though be warned, caution should be used as hair can become trapped in the curling barrel. For seasoned hair curler users, it might be best to go with a premium brand such as GhD or Dyson.
