could see where my son was the whole day. The battery stayed charged for the whole day. He was able to call me easily when his lesson was over and I was able to call him just as easily to let him know when to come back. I was concerned after reading some of the other reviews and tested many features that were listed as an issue and found no issues what so ever. I have already recommended this watch to some friends and recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to keep track of their kids to keep them same and for piece of mind when they are out of sight.

UPDATE: It is over 1 month since the previous review. We didn't use the watch for a few weeks but my husband and son decided to go back to the snow for the day. The watch had no issue recharging and re-activating. I can sit very comfortably at home and see where they are the whole time. Very reassuring. Good product.

Does not meet its own functional description – The specifications indicate that the location updates every six minutes. After starting up the watch the location will sometime be accurate. Terrible Watch - waste of money – This was bought on the NDIS for my autistic son. Had issues from it from the very beginning. able to call the other parties on the slopes and organise a time to meet up for lunch as well as going home time. I would definitely recommend the use of these watches for both adults and kids for this exact purpose. I did find it somewhat challenging to get the watch under all of my snow gear, but it did the trick. It was also very cool that my partner could look at her phone and see where I was on the ski fields and come by to see how I was going!

TicTocTrack staff have been nothing short of amazing in their support whenever we had a problem with the unit. A replacement loan watch arrives within a day or two of the phone call and the check and repair of our unit is done within a very short time span. I recommend this product without reservation.

Check Coverage – We were advised that the phone is on the 3G network, and that we might have issues given our location. We checked the 3G coverage map and all looked good - so we purchased. because you apparently have 3G coverage, that does not mean it will actually work. Oh and the service staff will be curt and condesending post purchase.

Very reliable product and app – I bought a watch from istaysafe (tic toc track) in March 2019 and within less than three weeks, the watch was dead. They told me to send it back to have it tested, which I did. They found the battery was faulty and provided a replacement watch. within two days. Again they told me to send it back to have it tested it, which I did again. This time they told me there’s nothing wrong with the watch and claimed it is because I use my own SIM. Before I bought my watch, I specifically enquired about whether I could use my own SIM. The only thing provided on the website was that they recommended to use the Telstra network, which I did. Furthermore, the first faulty watch worked with the same SIM in terms of tracking. The funny thing was they kept saying it was network problem and they could do testing. I am not sure how testing would help if it was network problem where you would send your watch away from where you live to be tested I complained to the Fair Trading and they didn’t response to them until I provided their CEO’s name and contact to Fair Trading and Fair Trading contacted her directly. Of course, they did not admit their product was very unreliable.

Further, the watch has no sleep button. This means that after use if your child press the button to switch the screen off, it actually switches off the watch. Once this is done, you can no longer phone your child. Even if your child would understand and listen and wait for the screen to go off on its own, the watch switches itself off after it is idle for a period of time. Completely unaware the watch switches itself off, you can’t phone your child. Their App is also very unreliable. It would show the location of your child a few days later and tells you your child is now at a location where she was a few days ago.

Their product is so bad, I have cancelled my subscription to their App which means I am left with a useless watch.

Poor battery life, tracking not accurate and messages delayed... do not recommend – Purchased this for our child's birthday; the first two days of use the watch didn't even last the school day (dead flat by 2-2:30pm each day); I contacted TTT and they requested I send it back for testing. flat within the school day, its getting no more than ~4.5 - 5 hours battery life (and my son purposefully hasn't even been checking the time/steps/messages to try and conserve the battery life).

We have also noticed the messages to, and from, the watch is not instant - they can take up to 15mins to be delivered/sent (something to be mindful if you want to use the watch for 'quick updates' to your children at pick up time or change in plans - and you can't call because its in class hours).

The final frustration is that the tracking doesn't seem to be accurate (or live) - we have noticed on numerous occasions that the tracking function is still showing our son at school when we left there some hours ago (the watch was sitting right in front of me at home).

I have contacted TTT about the issues - they have asked me to ensure I am following the 'charging instructions', and that the battery problem could be due to a 'phone provider' issue; the coverage maps provider by the phone carrier have full service in all the areas the watch has been (home - school - home). TTT have also said the tracking and messaging looks fine (on their servers/systems) - so again have again indicated this is a phone provider or app issue. TTT has also informed me that you need to refresh to the newest app regularly, or log in and log out every time to get a more accurate reading of location - something that isn't easy, nor clearly indicated when you are buying the watch.

At the moment TTT has requested I send the watch back for further testing, and that they recommend we pay for additional (improved) carrier services. Based on the coverage maps (TTT has provided me - and checked on the carriers sites also) the area we are in (school and home) has perfect service so I am not comfortable paying more for something that should work as indicated upon purchase; I contacted the carrier to be sure and they have confirmed I should not have any connection/message/location issues - they have indicated it is an issue with the TTT software or the watch itself.

Overall the concept of the watch is great - unfortunately it just doesn't operate as described. Since making our initial order our watch has spent most of the time flat or back with TTT for testing than anything else - our son hasn't even been able to wear it.

Because of all continued problems, I have requested a refund, although they have informed me that because the watch was purchased more than two weeks ago they aren't willing to provide this.

This has been an extremely frustrating experience, as the device doesn't operate as indicated on their website; then I would have hoped TTT would operate with integrity and recognise that there are circumstances where the watch doesn't work as indicated (and hopefully then use this information to be honest/transparent with future customers).

Buyer beware - its a lot of money to spend (as we have unfortunately found out) that currently doesn't even work.

I'd recommend you look at alternatives.

Not durable enough for children – Trialled 2 of these watches for my 8 and 10 year old sons. My 10 year olds sons screen smashed when catching a ball after just over 1 week of having the watch. So glad I didn't purchase these watches!!! If you can't even throw and catch a ball without them breaking then they are not suitable for children. They are also quite difficult to use and my 8 year old son has accidentally called me several times on it. The battery lasts less than 10 hours before it needs charging again. Pretty sure the good reviews of these watches/company were written by the company themselves. Don't waste your time and money.

can't receive texts. I have had repeated phone calls, online chats and emails about both these issues. They continue unresolved. I am still waiting on a response to my last phone calls last week, in which I was promised they would get back to me with a fix to the texting issue, or an explanation of what was being done. Still waiting. So my ten-year-old daughter has to do a time conversion every time she wants to check the time and I can't text her. I realise this is a new product and as such there might be problems, but I'm amazed at the lack of customer service when the product is so clearly unsatisfactory in regard to such fundamental attributes.

Waste of money – It sounds like a good idea, but it really isn't. There has not been one occasion in the past 4 months where this product has been useful. Great novelty only. You have to charge the watch every day, and beware if you forget as it sends you text messages........which cost money on top of the standard plan. After the purchase price of $175 it's then just $7.99 a month which is great as wont notice that on a monthly basis

It also is great for school as she has it on vibrate so no tune or disturbance in class so telling her I'm running late etc is now not a worry of thinking she's standing in some street corner with a wierdo waiting to pounce!

Haven't had any issues yet with watch but hopefully customer service has improved since these other reviews have been posted as really think this should catch on- stops all the worry of young children owning phones and social media becoming a problem!

But what i like about this is that it has a built in SOS button for any ultra emergencies but again, if they hit that and they're in shadow they can be within a couple of Ks of the ping. It is designed to go to sleep after a few seconds to save battery life and you can designate routes, The face smashed and we were promised a replacement (demo) but that never happened, so we gave up on it. We were paying our regular monthly fee etc but to be lost a lot in shadow, well, better to have "find my iPhone" on.... Easy to set up but they answer your questions really fast, good customer service, Qld based, price etc. Fence is tricky if they have a wiggley route to school and only works off satellite so kid cannot be found sometimes.
