Dreadful – The pump is very noisy, but that is bearable, the main issue is that the tube between the pump and the bottle does not have a proper connection, so it keeps on coming loose - you have to hold on to the tube so it doesn't come out. It comes out at least ten times during each session and it is very frustrating. I contacted Tommee Tippee about it… Read more

and after going back and forth they said they could replace the tube at best - however this won't help as the design is flawed. Poor product, and poor customer service. It is infuriating that Tommee Tippee think this product is ok, they clearly don't care about their customers, if they did they would remove it from the market.

NOT A WISE BUY / AN HONEST REVIEW – Bought this pump in January 2020 and I am completely unsatisfied with it. The pump is not a wise buy, if you plan to be an active milk pumper better invest in a quality nursing pump or even if you're not, this product is not worth it. I pumped for the first time and yes it was great I got 60 mls, but for the next times around I was only getting… Read more

under 60 mls, the suction is weak.

PROS: - Cheap - Electric and battery operated pump, can be on the go. - Portable

CONS: -Weak suction, even when you use the maximum power button. - Doesn't extract milk well, it leaks too. - No available flanges size, ( probably another reason why this product is not working well with me. - The silicone is hard to put into the flange. - Noisy -Inconvenient or hard to connect air- tube. (maybe another reason why it has a weak suction)

Does the job – This pump does what it’s meant to do. Can be used with plug or on batteries which is convenient when wanting to pump on the go. Downside is the noise can be a bit frustrating, and parts that have to be put together. Show details

Great! Easy to use and clean – As a first time mum I was hesitant to buy a pump as I had no idea about any aspect of pumping. My daughter is 7 months old and an absolute booby monster, which was making me worried for my return to work next month. I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a pump so I thought I'd try this one out given the price point. It's great! I found it… Read more

easy to clean and put together. I get about 60ml in 15 minutes from one side of pumping at night after I've put baby to bed. Very gentle and pain free.

Cons: not quiet and I wish it came as a double pump.

Perfect & so easy to use – This electric pump is fantastic, so easy to use & to clean. I pumped 150ml during my first express which I thought was fantastic & found the different settings to be great to find the right one for me. Show details

Don't waste your money – I don’t usually write reviews but I felt the need to warn other mothers before they waste their money on this product. As a first time mum, I didn’t really research much on pumps but i decided to go with the tommee tippee one as I got the bottles from them which are good. This pump does NOT do it’s job effectively. - it is noisy - pumps… Read more

aggressively - one fits all flange size - so annoyed to reassemble after washing and sterilising as there is 101 pieces

I even wrote a message to them to complain and ask for this product to get sent back and my money back but they offered for it to get fixed, missing the point of this product not doing what it says it does. I was pumping 30+ mins for like 30 mls. I ended up getting really frustrated and researching for the best pump and then bought the Spectra pump which I could not recommended enough! It’s just amazing. And 15 mins I was getting Atleast 130mls

Before you decide to buy this product please read the reviews

Loud & Nipple Blisters – I'll keep it short and sweet. - VERY loud. Havent used the pump in 3 days and can still hear it somewhere deep inside my brain. - Pulls and releases boob aggressively. - Milk regularly goes in plastic funnel part where boob gets sucked in and that causes reduction of suction. - silicone funnel caused blisters under both nipples. - If not connected to wall, suction is weaker drastically and batteries are wasted fast. Do not recommend. Show details

Does not work well – Purchased this pump during a half price sale at Baby Bunting while I was pregnant as I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to breastfeed and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a breast pump. I tried this pump on the first night I came home with my baby. It was very loud, the parts were difficult to connect and I hated the plastic insert… Read more

inside the shield where the breast is placed.

The plastic insert also made it difficult for my DD breast to fit inside the shield and more milk was being spilt over the sides of the shield than what was being collected in the bottle by the pump.

Does a great job BUT noisy – It is very comfortable. Not painful.I use it daily for about 1& half months now,up to 8 times a day.I am able to pump as much as 150mls from one breast in 15 min.It is portable(sometimes i take it work to with me), easy to clean and sterilise.I will definately recommend it.The only downfall is that IT IS VERY LOUD! Show details

Invest on Medela! – Very loud and really poor design which it is easy to waste milk. Every time I waste milk, because the nipple falls down. The cable is too short. Overall it's okay for being cheaper but if you can invest on better product! Show details

Not at all satisfied. WORST product ever – Worst product ever. Not at all satisfied with the pump. Suction is not good at all. Also the tube connecting the motar and pump does not fit properly and needs to be adjusted many times during expressing. Also the motar makes loud noise. The amount of milk you 'll be able to express is less when compared to using other pumps like medela swing. Show details

The Product is not Tommy Tippee Standard - Worst Buy – I found this pump to be absolutely not practical ... For a first time mother on the go ... who had a good start to breastfeeding until i had to start pumping ... this product has made me very despondent... the first thing that bums you out is the number of parts to mantle before use ... no first time mother has time for that ... and then to… Read more

steralize these parts is a mission ... have to almost always recruit my husband to get the job done ... the product is very noisy, painful to use (extremely difficult to feed baby after use... leave the nipple tender and exhausted ) and i have to always try to pump away from my baby and husband because i have to leave the bedroom to pump ... the rubber always come out and sometimes the whole breast attachment comes loose ... the suction is poor ... the design is terrible ... the product is bulky ... the batteries wear out fast ... in order to pump you have to stay attached to a socket and the cords arent that long ... not to mention you have a 100 other things to do ... pump yields very little express and takes extremely long and slow ... you can never ever see how much you pumped or even if the pump is working at all ... cause the design is so bulky ... so much of milk goes to waste because it pumps and pours out the bottom of the nipple and wets your clothes and the balance gets stuck in between the head and the bottle ... the suction cord kinks and comes loose and is too short if you attached to a socket ... have to hold the product with one hand at a certian angle and use your other hand to hold the breast in the right position ... so even your hands are not available to do anything else ... wish i could get a refund as this product is expensive here in south africa ... please please please do not buy this product... complete waste of money ... should not be in the tommy tippee range because it is destroying the brands confidence in comsumers. Really not tommy tippee standard.

Doesn’t pump – Worst pump; very noisy, doesn’t extract milk correctly - hardly any comes out, plastic tube is fiddly and sometimes disconnects. Basically bad design. rubbish. My partner was so glad that it wasn’t her fault and that she could actually express plenty of milk with a proper pump (the Medela swing). Hope this saves someone else some anxiety Ref: I’m an engineer.

Not the best product – The motor is really loud, which is annoying and inconvenient if your wanting to do it near the baby. The suction cap is not that great, it either hurts your nipple or it doesn't suction properly and midway your milk starts leaking out the bottom. Horrible. Don't waste your money – My best friend bought me this pump as I love tommee tippee bottles. I am sad to say this pump was just awful to use. So many parts to put together and the rubber part that goes onto the breast is just horrific to get on and off. It's also super loud when going, nearly always wakes my baby up as soon as I turn it on. But the thing I'm most… Read more

disappointed with is that the motor burnt out and it's not even a month old. I only used it once a say for the first week then used it once or twice after that because I wasn't getting much when I expressed so I took it into where I bought it and showed them what was happening when I turned it on and they said the motor had burnt out. What a waste of money! I went and bought myself another pump from a different brand and it is so worth it, night and day to this horrible experience that nearly made me give up expressing milk.

Loud, poor fit, slow – Rubbish. Probably ok for small breasts for a casual pressure release pump, but the ‘one size fits all’ flange does not fit all, it has to be held on and upright (uncomfortable) and makes the most annoying noise. I’m giving mine away. Show details

Good easy to use product – This pump is very easy to assemble & resemble for cleaning, it’s effective in its use & I find I’m getting more than enough milk through using this. A man's perspective – This feels quite strange reviewing this breast pump but here we go... I would be lying if I said I didn't try this on myself out of curiosity... so I won't say that. However this review isn't about how this works for guys, just my perspective of the pump from listening and watching my wife use it. Firstly - She had the impression that she could… Read more

buy this thing then walk around the house doing all the things she normally couldn't while breast feeding while this is pumping away collecting her liquid gold, then I could give the baby the bottle - and we quickly found out that is not the case. Apparently you need some special bra holder and even then that didn't work too effectively as the bottle gains weight as it fills up. Basically she had to sit down every time she pumped.

It is pretty noisy especially on the high suck mode, so you will need to find a balance between having the tv up loud enough to drown out the noise, but quite enough not to wake up the sleeping baby, depending on your TV and the distances between Wife - TV - Baby, the volume at 15 seemed to work for me.

It also pumps pretty slow, I know she would get frustrated that she only had so many mLs after sitting there pumping for so long - but I don't know if that is a function of the pump or just a function of her output, I would imagine everyone is different.

One downfall of it is that while pumping into the bottle which is attached to the suction cup she could not see how full it was due to the obvious obstacles restricting her vision down so she would continually have to ask me how full it was. Maybe this is something they could incorporate into version 2 - some sort of sensor that would tell you at each 50mls or something? or even just a mirror attached to it angled up to the eyes. Just a thought.

It does burn through the batteries so make sure you have enough of those. It does come with a power cord but unless you have one of those flash couches with power sockets on them then surely you won't want to be sitting on the floor next to a power point like a teen at an airport while you are pumping.

Overall it is not a bad electric pump, my wife didn't rave on about it like her new Aldi thermo cooker but she also didn't lob it across the room - hence the 3 star rating.

Great difficulties – I was given this breast pump just before the birth of my first child. We were having attachment issues so I would have to pump every 3-4 hours. exactly the right position to ensure it worked correctly - it wasn't airtight. Furthermore, cleaning it after use was an arduous process as their are so many pieces that seem superfluous. The pump was also noisy and scared my puppy... the droning sound it made started to drive me mental.
