My experience was great. I ordered my brother a workshop creeper seat as a gift. It was free delivery to a remote location and arrived in a reasonable time. I made a mistake on the address called the next day and got it all sorted. Can't speak to the quality but he hasn't complained. I was in the Gawler store for half hour, stood near counter for 10 minutes while being ignored by 4 people behind the counter. Bloody ridiculous I just ended up walking out I have $300 in store money. Looking like I won't be spending that at that store or going to it again Show details

that never happened. No follow-up, no accountability, and no urgency. Eventually, I had to call the supplying branch directly myself — only to find out the courier never even collected the order in the first place. No one from Tool Kit Depot had bothered to check.

To make matters worse, I had included a $400 gift card with the order, and thanks to this mess, I missed out on all the end-of-financial-year specials. Not only was my time wasted, but I also lost money on discounts I was counting on.

The lack of care from this company was astonishing. For a high-value order, you'd expect even the bare minimum of customer support — but Tool Kit Depot couldn’t deliver even that. I ended up buying elsewhere so my job could proceed without further delay.

I will never shop with Tool Kit Depot again. Avoid them at all costs unless you enjoy being ignored, delayed, and left out of pocket.

I ordered boots and no one called me, they say they did...but it´s not true. When I came they told me my boots are sold and it´s not possible to order them or have some another option. So desapointting, absolutely unaccepteble!!!

Placed an order for a discounted item only to have the order automatically cancelled within seconds of them accepting the order. Feels like they've used the discount as a bait and then cancel orders for discounted items. Very shady. Do not do business with Tool Kit Depot

We took a welder in to be fixed under warranty, had to ring them go instore a few times different stores. blame different stores & don’t seem to care. Once you make a purchase don’t expect anything else. They said paper work went missing etc. what was going to happen? A random welder sitting in a store room for months and no one is wondering why?? Bad coustomer service. Talk the talk without any action or care factor. So annoying and is why I’m a dissatisfied customer. Can’t run a business like this. Avoid at all costs it’s a crap show

Speed fast and reliable online tool dealer – Super fast delivery, ever was new and packed well. Item priced great and great website

Multiple Bad Experiences - AVOID – First time I ordered from these guys they sent the wrong items. After chasing them they then sent the correct item but 1 short of the qty I ordered. 3 weeks ago I placed another order for a power tool from them and still no sign of it. I emailed customer support and they said they had to "order in the item" but still no news on when it might be delivered. Won't use these guys again. Yes they are cheap, but there's a reason for that.

No service – PARAFIELD TKD Walking back and forth between all makes and models trying to get attention to compare prices. Six staff around checkout laughing and joking ,still no attention, exit store explaining to staff that 6 staff and still no service after 15 mins. $1100 sale gone begging, Bunnings mentality.

Shipping – Purchased goods online, still waiting for delivery. Has been over a month

Too restrictive on earned gift balances to use on online purchases – Gift card promotions are almost useless for redeeming because they turn off use when they have a promotion running. Too bad if you just want to redeem your existing gift card balance on an item during that time. They really should not be allowed to do this because a valid gift card is as good as cash (EFTPOS) once it has been issued. Fair… Read more

Trading really needs to be stricter on this. To be honest, I don't put much faith in Fair Trading either. Waste of time. Will not bother in the future.

Hidden Gem – Stumbled across Tool Kit Depot whilst searching for prices on specific wood carving tools that I usually get at my local specialist store. Was amazed to find the exact tool I was after for about $50 cheaper that the standard retail price. Store staff were also extremely knowledgeable and helpful. good customer service – This is mainly about customer service from the Mile End store in Adelaide. I bought a Metabo 261 bandsaw which was clearly faulty. I rang up to discuss either getting a refund or swapping it over for a new unit. The problem was that if I decided to possibly swap it over, I would be without a unit for days. back. He kindly suggested dropping by after work to have a look. Liam ended up bringing a new unit which worked fine and I decided to swap it over. Considering I was extremely annoyed at the start of the day for owning a faulty unit, to eventually having a working unit, I was very happy with the customer service. A lot of the risk we take as consumers is not knowing the quality of the item upon delivery. Knowing that they are willing to go to this length to make the customers happy is very good in my mind.

Arrogant and dishonest – These guys advertised a big sale/trade night and told me to wait until the day to buy new gear, but raised their prices the day before so that the sale prices were higher than they were before the sale. Obviously they think we’re too stupid to realise.

WILL NEVER USE AGAIN – Ordered part with promise of 7 day turn around. 2 weeks later no word. Called to enquire only to find out the supplier had rejected the order due to wrong part number, which had earlier been provided by the supplier, after they told me the part number I provided was not right. after being promised a call - no call. I called and was eventually told the order had been received, "just 5 minute ago". The part was kindly delivered to me but was the wrong part. After a month of messing around all up I was told that the supplier was saying it was the right part, even though they had a picture of the existing part and the serial plate from the machine and an assistant manager from the store as a witness. I found the part on line and guess what, it had the part number that I originally provided to TKD printed on the part. No follow-up or back-up system, couldn't trust what I was being told by the multiple staff dealing with the problem. NEVER AGAIN!

Faulty product return – Tool kit depot was fantastic with a faulty tyre inflater I purchased. I sent them a video of it not working correctly and they sent me a replacement. They were great to deal with , nothing was a problem for them. Highly recommend them

Terrible customer service – The Mentone store has the worst customer service. I went in on Thursday and wanted to buy a Honda brush cutter attachment. heard anything, so I decided to go to the store. After 15 mins of going round in circles and being told love stories, no one knew what was going on with the product or where it was. After all this I asked for a refund, got my money back and ordered it online. I should have done this in the first place if I knew about this place, and I would have had it by now. My advise is don’t bother with this place….struggle with simple tasks that my 5 year old daughter could do better.

Paying for their Mistakes – I ordered a new twin pack battery set priority as I needed them fast. Arrived in three days but they were the wrong capacity (less Amp-hours). whole idea of priority (I had an upcoming job) by the time I sent the wrong ones back and then they would send out the right ones. So I told them I would send back the wrong ones after the job was done in a week and they can send me the correct ones after that. Got another angry email from them - oh, I can't send them back "used" - that would void warranty. What warranty? They said they would refund the difference between what I ordered and what I received, and that was all they would offer. Now I'm left with batteries I didn't want and would have to fork out hundreds more to get the ones I was after. All because their despatch department cannot read the labels. An AI would give better customer support than them. Gonna buy through Total Tools next time, much better service.

Abysmal – I purchased online a Honda Generator - only to be told by [Name Removed] the online Sales leader that my transaction was fraudulent and that my transaction will be refunded. And when yo call the online sales team on 1800 853 376 they don't answer. What an unbelievable JOKE !!!! Never again will I ever set foot in these stores ever again !

ripped of – verry deceptive site advertised a honda versatool head cheaper than anyone else online but they include the standard accessories like a harness and tool kit so its not cheep because you have to buy a harness i guess beware of cheap prices advertised by these people
