Worse company – Will never shop at toolmart again. Warranty practices breach consumer law and would not replace tool after diagnosed major fault. manager has the worse customer service skills i have ever come across. Have reported this company to ACCC. Cant say this strongly enough go elsewhere.

You had better hope what you buy doesn't break down – Bought a decent quality Metabo cordless drill kit on recommendation of Toolmart staff. Lasted 6 months before it stopped working and burst into flames. Had to take it back to Maddington (or post at my cost), 5 weeks later its been approved for repairs (which in itself is hard to believe) and the parts needed haven't turned up. Toolmart unless I call them for an update, and given that it was supposed to be resolved in 2 weeks (their statement) this is quickly becoming a joke. Disappointed with the store I bought from (Maddington) who just don't care if its a warranty issue (not our problem, talk to Belmont) and especially Belmont, who are supposed to be the service centre for the entire company. Am in Perth again this week looking for a new welder, you can guess which chain of stores won't be getting my business

We later purchased the same items from Sydney Australia for $9-90 each plus $10-00 postage making a total of $39-00 odd There’s mark up and there’s markup 60% on what we paid for spares We’ve experienced the same problem with the hitachi batteries a larger price by $70-00 for the same item If other people are making a good profit margin at their prices, well in my opinion Toolmart don’t deserve my patronage Overpriced! No resolution was forthcoming from the manager NEVER again!

Great Advise – Needed to replace a well used cordless drill but unsure of which way to go. Stay with current brand or try something different.
